Let's wind back the clock for a second

It's crazy how time flies. It's been 2 years and sometimes it still feels like months. It's not that I'm not over you, but more along the lines of the feelings I felt when I was with you will never fade. The saying goes, "It's better to have loved than to have never loved at all." And I completely agree. Even though things ended up how they did, those feelings you gave me were something I haven't felt before. Sometimes I feel crazy that I still think about you, about us. What could have, what was, and what wasn't. The memories that we share will forever be ingrained in my heart, my mind, and my soul. The path you've shown me, I will continue to walk down. This time, more confident in myself from the experience I've learned from. You've shown me that it's safe to Love, its okay to feel vulnerable, because when we were together I felt unstoppable. Now, as the clocks continue to tick and the pendulum continues to swing. I return back to the present. Wiser, calmer, and daring. I continue to wear my smile, and my eyes still lost in the future. Will we ever meet again? Will I ever be able to make amends? Who knows. Who cares. I'm thankful for what you've given me those years ago.
