Eric - 9mm: Federal Cartridge, Winchester, Union Metallic Cartridge, A-Merc (American Ammunition),1938, 86, 87, 88, 89, 92, 95 stamped Winchester/Western Cartridge Company, Remington-Peters, Speer (unclear whether E+D actually used these, they were used by the police but 2 were considered fired by Eric, and one was found in Dylan's BMW), 1987 stamped Federal Cartridge, Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos (Magtech), EIXE 2 (never heard of it, couldn't find any info, probably miswritten), PERA (ditto), PARA 92 (ditto, maybe the same thing as the last one, just mis-read or written.),

Dylan - Shotgun: Federal #8 Extra-Lite target load 2 3/4" (459 pellets per shell), Federal 00 buckshot 2 3/4"

Dylan - 9mm: Winchester, Remington-Peters, 1988 stamped Winchester Cartridge Company, Speer (maybe).

Unknown - 9mm: Speer, MIDWAY ARMS, Sellier & Bellot, TZ 85 (Speer is the only one of these that was used by the police)

Almost all of the ammo used by Dylan is Remington-Peters and Federal 00, the 9mm in his boot was Winchester.

I’m thinking the reason they had such diverse ammo is that they probably bought almost all of it at gun shows, just going table to table searching for the absolute cheapest 9mm they could find. Most of those brands are either no longer made, or considered low quality.

 Federal makes good shells, but most of what Eric and Dylan got was target ammo, the stuff you buy for a day out on the range but not so much to hunt with, it’s considerably cheaper (5$ for 5 of the good ones, 7$ for 25 of the target ones).

Also, as far as I can tell they only used FMJ.

I feel like Jack Thompson, Chris Bollyn and Peter Breggin will love this book...  "According to the authorities, he's playing [...] 100 hours a week [...] it's becoming increasingly a part of his life, which is also a part of the detachment from the rest of life." Maybe he played more video games as a coping mechanism for his increasingly severe mental illness, and it’s that illness that caused his isolating behaviors?

"what you can sort of see in this giant avoidance mechanism, ya know, for the whole culture, to avoid the actual experience of being a human being" (interviewer: maybe this, the Singulars said is what's caused the 10000% increase in mass shootings over the last 5 decades. They found a pattern among shooters;) "that's a pattern, and you saw the same sort of big ticket things over and over again; massive involvement in video games, prescription drugs, and this sort of sense of alienation."    Again, believe it or not, a lot of the same people who decide obliterating themselves and as many other people as they can off the face of the planet, and sewing the seeds for decades of misery and pain in countless others is the best course of action - often suffer from some form of mental illness, and as such, are more likely to interact with the mental health system and be prescribed psych meds. Correlation =/= causation.

That last point about a “sense of alienation” is one of the few things brought up that actually point to some deep seated systemic issue behind the rise in mass shootings, the rest of their points however are the same tired ones dragged out in the aftermath of Columbine and every other shooting for a few weeks by pundits and political bloggers trying to insert their pet moral issues.

Me thinks this book is going to blow; the JH case is not the main subject of the book, what is written about the case has inaccuracies and is based on the same info we all have access to, so no secrets answered, and possibly misinformation spread (”I’m the joker.”). The rest of the book covers the aforementioned topics, which would be disappointing to begin with but is only made worse because they’re the same topics and concerns that have been brought up, hashed and re-hashed over and over since the mid 90′s and perhaps earlier.

Doctors at a hospital where he was taken after repeatedly ramming his head into walls prescribed him the prescription drug Haldol, and King said he has been taking anti-psychotic medicine ever since that episode. “It's been having a positive effect on him. If he appears distracted or aloof or unconnected, that's in part due to the medications he is on."

But they didn’t function really, the explosion is supposed to be contained until the pressure exceeds the pipes bursting pressure, however on E+D’s pipe bombs, the end-caps popped off or were partially destroyed before this point, leaving the pipe (and shrapnel) intact. Maybe they used a lower schedule for the end-caps, or the threading failed (on the ones that popped off entirely at least).

Same clothes they wore last time. Is it the norm in Canada to not issue jail clothing until a certain point? I know they do that here in the US sometimes if they haven't figured out how long you're going to stay, but if they know it's more than a day or so you'd get issued a uniform. Hopefully they've got access to showers or something at least.

I heard a lawyer recently say that the reason certain inmates wear the tomato red color is b/c they are due to go to the hospital soon. 

Can a Holmie with some time on his/her hands look back at the times James wore red and let me know if this coincides with times that we knew he went to the hospital?

What the lawyer said could just apply to my town/jurisdiction, though…

I did some looking around to try and figure out the meanings of the different colored scrubs specific to the Arapahoe Detention center, here's what I dug up:

"In our jail, inmates wear uniforms that to a certain extent classify them by the severity of their charges; for example, inmates in orange are facing felony charges, inmates in blue are misdemeanor offenders. Inmates in red are "security risks," which could mean anything from an escape risk to an assault risk." - Library Services to the Incarcerated pg.53

"Marcus: Mine and most peoples were blue [...] You had to wear red if you were a risk of suicide, previous escape or attempted escape, or previous assault on an officer." - countyjail.net

On April 9 2014, 16-year-old Alex Hribal stabbed and injured 21 students at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, Pennsylvania. Hribal is said to have been inspired by the Columbine High School Massacre, stating he identified with Harris and Klebold, and that he had originally planned to commit the act on April 20th, however his plans had to be changed as his school was closed on that date.

After being restrained by the vice-principal and another student, Hribal repeatedly stated “my work isn’t done, I have to kill more!” He had also pulled the fire alarm, in order to flood more students into the hallways.

 Also, I'm always amazed that people get so upset when someone won't answer their easily searched questions. Like, it's apparently SO important to them that they turn into complete assholes if they don't get what they want immediately, but NOT important enough that they could just find out the answer themselves?
