i don't know how to explain it but the tin man in the books was INSANE does anyone know if there's an adaption with the wolves??? bro just silently murdered dozens of wolves while everyone was sleeping and it's never talked about again the anime had it but like. everyone was awake and he wasn't chopping them up, but I sound insane every time I try to talk about it

A funny personal anecdote about Tincrow

I have a Tincrow board on Canva where I collect evidence, quotes, and official illustrations to prove: “That’s why I ship them, I'm not crazy. Is canon!”

I showed it to my closest friends, and as part of the presentation, I asked them (after reading the quotes from the books): “Of the two, who do you think is the gayest in this relationship?”

My gay friend was there; he treats me like his little sister. I love him. He listened carefully, analyzed it (Especially in the Chosen Camarate part), didn’t say a word, and the moment I asked that question, he took a deep breath and said:

“W-What do you want me to say? They’re both gay! They’re SO gay that the word ‘gay’ doesn’t even do them justice! I - can’t - decide.”

My (and my friends) honest reaction:

That night was one of a kind—even better than when I told you about Scarecrow and the gun he always carries in the adaptations for some reason.

Okay, here it is. As I mentioned in an animation I made for Dorozma, I wanted to make the character androgynous because of the fairy themes in my AU.

Some of my inspirations were: Snow White, The Little Prince, Lady Óscar and Ozma/Tip from the anime version: Ozu no Mahōtsukai.Just like in the anime, I like that their clothes are technically unisex—they’re somewhere between a princess’s and a prince’s.

Believe me, I love going on Pinterest just to look for this kind of clothing and dress Ozma in it just for the sake of it, and it looks great.

Next up will be Jack, but I’ll be working on a pending animation and drawings for Pride Month.

Nick Chopper and his stinky hick husband

I understand that time changes how we read and react to certain things. That something could be read as platonic.

But Dorothy and ozma kissed. Several times. Dorothy described ozma as the most beautiful woman in oz. (She writes letters to Baum and that's the lore of the books being written) Dorothy is Ozma's beloved companion as an official position.

The tin man and the scarecrow ran off into the sunset together. They refer to each other as 'my dear' they did a side quest to find out what happened to the girl the tin man was courting.

These books, most of them, are public domain but they are still fairly modern in terms of literature. Words used in the books tend to mean how we mean them now. With one notable exception but it's debatable on which definition the author is using.

My point is that the books are gay. Very gay.

Years would pass since what happened with Dorothy. Iwant that first “kiss” to happen during THAT boat ride (yes, you know the one I mean).

The kiss would happen after everything that had happened. Scarecrow had planned to ask Nick to be his “Chosen Camarate,” but everything had gone wrong, and yet Nick comforted him and simply said: “As for what you were going to propose… Yes.”

That’s when Scarecrow realizes he couldn’t even pretend to act normal and that it was very obvious, but Nick didn’t care; to him, the straw man seemed so excited and nervous that he didn’t intervene. He wanted to see where it would all lead.

Scarecrow gets excited, gives him the kiss—a bit clumsy, since neither of them has lips. But then they get used to it, leaving traces of straw and a little steam on each other.

I even imagined that his crows, in the midst of the disaster, were talking to each other:

“I told you this would go wrong. Pay me.”

“CAW! Whatever.”
