caballaria replied to Keith is experiencing hell today. I’m feeling so…
[ nohrian bro’s : rihanna winking gif]
I have no idea what gif that is, but anyway, I’m almost crying. my heart hurts. he’s finally getting what he deserves (sort of) but to this extent, I-I don’t know if he really needs to be given a death threat and told to grovel. I swear–
Umm, this is definitely going to shape future interactions. Definitely. It doesn’t help that his birthday in like 4 days. Bc birthday shenanigans are a must. Will the princes ever be able to forgive him though?
[this n but i’m sorry lmaooooo these royals will only take so much nonsense before they suddenly threaten death LMAO]
❛ If you have a problem with me or what I say, you say it to my face. Don’t you fucking dare go to my sister to express it. ❜ Yeah, at least he told people his honest opinions straight to their faces unlike these cowards who went to someone who wasn’t even involved.
After entertaining a fair conversation with said sister, Xander was approached by the very same start to their conversation, and immediately the boy began with such sour words that the crown prince wouldn’t stand for, a sharp glance cast towards the youth, “Excuse me?” Xander retorted bitterly, turning to face his much shorter company, “If you value yourself, you’ll apologize and bow your head to your crown prince and rid me of your company.” If it was something Nohrian court practiced too frequently then what Xander would like, it was petty words and cat fights, he couldn’t stand such underhanded arguments, but all the court members and high nobility; Xander knew their names.
But this wasn’t the court.
He only knew Keith’s name because the boy disgraced it on his own will, and Xander wasn’t above threatening the red-head to repent for his words. Stepping closer to Keith and removing the polite gap between the two, his arms dropped from behind his back and waited at his sides, a much more aggressive body language used as he answered to Keith’s hostility, “Get on your knees.” He ordered harshly and quietly, leering down at the boy as he waited impatiently for the show of remission.
[ does anyone else need a reply????? gettin em’ done today becoz it’s a national holiday (xan’s bday) and i got the day off to do my SHIT]
caballaria:
The visiting schedule had sadly dwindled to only being able to visit Corrin a few times a month, sometimes more or less depending on the tasks he was asked to work on. Because of that fact, he would always come prepared with plenty of ideas of entertainment and always present a full amount of energy, aware that the locked up princess had been doing far less then what he had been doing— she would always have plenty of energy to kill while Xander needed more stamina based training.
The arrival to the base of the tower went about as expected, nearly as soon as the door had opened, Corrin’s sprinting came to a sharp halt as she bent over and caught her breath, already setting her deal into motion, “Ha! Not even going to spare me a hello?” He replied with a haughty, jesting spite, crossing his arms, “You’re impatient as ever.. Allow me to tie up Bucephalus and I’ll be right in. Though I’d like some conversation before we get right to sparring.” He advised warmly, striding back outside and heeding his horse, who came over to his sharp whistle, “I like your spirit, though.” Praising Corrin’s will, he easily tied the steed to a close by post, letting the horse refresh itself and relax after the tedious ride over.
Brushing hands together, he turned back to the young girl and approached indoors, “Well then.. Let’s try to say our hello’s again, alright? It’s the first step to a proper conversation and after, I shall ask in high hopes that you’ve been doing well, I presume?” Re-initiating conversation, Xander started stepping up the spiral stairs, pacing up at a slow speed as to keep his stamina up the dizzying way.
“Oh, well… Hello.” She replied back just as playfully. Ok, maybe Xander was a bit stuffy, but that was part of the charm. Even stuffy he left a bit of room for jokes.
Corrin darted over to Xander’s trusty steed and gave it a quick pat and a soft, “Thank you,” before darting back to his side. Horses deserved some credit for getting everyone around, after all! Ok, and the wyverns, too. She wished she could add pegasi to the list, but they were such a rare sight in Nohr.
She turned to Xander as they walked up the stairs for what was not the first or the last time, already smiling wide at his praise. Spirit was a great place to start. If she kept up the energy, if she could keep going no matter what, then everything was only a matter of when! She had a lifetime, that had to be long enough.
“Well, I guess if we must be so formal…” She daintily cleared her throat, and seamlessly turned so she could walk up the stairs backwards with her hands behind her. She wasn’t scared of tripping, she could walk up and down them in her sleep. “I’ve been in remarkable health as of late, dearest brother,” she began, voice purposefully dramatic and haughty, “how thoughtful of you to ask. So what is it that you traveled all the way to the Northern Fortress to tell poor, lonely Lady Corrin?”
She was continuing to play around, clearly exaggerating, but shortly after she wondered if maybe she had gone a bit far. Exaggeration required a grain of truth, after all, and she couldn’t help but think it wasn’t fair to hit a potential sore spot Xander couldn’t even control.
Her humor struck a weary smile unto his face, expression amused just as it was concerned as he watched her taunt to his face— effectively stepping the stairs backwards, “Well. Delighted as that makes me, I’d be even more so if you would walk the stairs like a proper princess would too.” Carefully entwining his concerns into the playful conversation, Xander’s arms stopped swinging with his regal gait, stiff at his sides as he readied for any potential incident, along with his steps getting heavier to prepare to cach himself and Corrin.
Familiar as she was of this tower, tragic as that were; it wouldn’t save her from all incident. Broken foot, spine, neck, arm, leg. Biting the inside of his lip, Xander had to throw away the harrowing thoughts as he stepped up, there would be no way that now in his presence, all would suddenly go wrong, granted if it were to go wrong, at least he’d be around to break the fall, but if possible, he’d love to evade that fate and it could be avoided if Corrin stopped acting a fool, “I swear.. I spend too much time refining Elise’s manners. Your’s are the ones that need the most help. Barefoot, jesting, walking backwards and sprinting indoors..” Softly shaking his head, Xander scoffed in good humor as he conversed with the locked up princess, openly playing with her in a way he didn’t frequently return with his more venturing siblings. Corrin didn’t have the same luxury they had to speak and play with other people, this was a well-known fact and a loneliness she lived her life in.
Even if just by a little bit, Xander would work best to his ability to be the best thing she could enjoy in his narrow visiting times, even if it was uncharacteristic for him to act so openly; for her, he would.
What the actual Goddess’s name was he telling these royal figures of authority ? Oh gods, Keith, what the fuck was he doing to elicit a reaction like this from the eldest prince ? Keith !! She was definitely going to drag answers out of him later. The fact that she was basically threatened for his terrible communication skills and behavior was just a bit much. He was going to be in trouble if he didn’t shape up. If her scolding didn’t work ( it usually didn’t because she was too nice to him ), then he’d be burned by Xander’s brother, whoever that may be. Oh wait, he said Leo. Didn’t she just hear that name from someone ?
Anyway, that didn’t matter. She was the one facing the consequences of her brother’s behavior right now. Well, more like the warnings for those consequences when it should be him who faced the warnings. Honestly, if Xander told him instead of her, he might shape up.
You know, her impression of Xander was not getting any better. In fact, he was getting a bit more scary in her book, and she was hardly scared by much things she had come across in the past. Maybe if they met on a more positive note, she may not have a bad impression of him like this. But, of course Keith had to be an ass completely rude to these people. Why was she not surprised by this ?
❛ I-I-I’ll m-make sure he gets the message… ❜ she stammered out. Oh crap, her old habit ! Eek ! It showed its ugly face ! Just when she thought she was rid of it forever ! Nooo ! She wanted to hide her face in shame right now before it started turning red from her own embarrassment. That was not supposed to happen, but she was never good at dealing with threats or people like Xander. In a way, he somewhat reminded her of Rigelian authority. No, he was much nicer, but his aura…was still slightly intimidating in a similar manner to theirs and much more approachable.
❛ If you’ll take my apology, I’d like to greet you properly. It’s my pleasure to see you attending this party my father has hosted. What may your business here be ? ❜
❛ O-Oh, umm, I’m here because my brother was invited, haha, ❜ she answered as she tried to regain her normal speech patterns. Curse the stutter. Would it please just go away before she made a bigger fool of herself ?

Knowing the struggles of watching after ones own siblings, Xander would offer a splinter of sympathy on her situation— personally he couldn’t imagine anything worse than his own brother going around and causing a ruckus, yet, constantly Leo proceeded to such tasks frequently.. “Hm.. I’m aware only those worth noting are invited. Would you mind terribly if I asked what he and you do?” Buckling his thoughts away from the strife Leo could cause, Xander delved deeper into conservation, practicing something a little more friendly and warming, “But then.. That seems a bit plain to inquire. How about a more entertaining topic. Your profession, for instance.” The subject sounded the same, but put into differentiated words, the questions comes out completely changed, reflecting more towards Rachel rather than what her family does well enough to be welcomed to Krakenburg, “I doubt that you come here as a caterer.. If you wouldn’t mind my guessing, may I suggest that you’re a tailor of sorts..?” Guessing one’s profession could lead down a terrible path of insults if you guessed the wrong title.
Honestly to him, she looked like she could be a shoemaker, but that wasn’t a very graceful thing to assume of someone— well-crafted and artisan or not, no one liked to be assumed to work by another’s feet. Besides, Rachel’s demeanor somehow suited towards that of many other tailors he had seen in his days, so it was worth mentioning.
