Everyone at CRS Ltd is very proud to announce our newest recruit Tyler Taffs who will be joined by Mark Dixon as our two new Jointer trainees.

The cable jointing training they will be undertaking will include Fluid Filled Cable Systems as well as XLPE cable systems. Other training will include Pilot Joints, Oil Leads, Earthing (bonding, flat earthing & link boxes), Lead Repair Sleeves for Fluid Filled & HP Gas Cable systems as well as how to carry out cable freezes, serving repairs & testing and much more.

Cable Repair Services (CRS) Ltd - 33kV Hot Splice (CTM 11) Transition Joint.

This job was carried out by CRS Ltd Jointers & Fluid Fitters on behalf of Wootton & Wootton who was carrying out essential works for Western Power Distribution (WPD).

The fluid side of this joint is 400mm2, oval, copper conductor with paper insulation, impregnated in cable fluid. The solid side of this joint was 630mm2 EPR and the terminations are 3 x Cooper T.
