it's homophobic and racist

it's homophobic because both are lgbt coded characters (especially killua) and are meant to be lgbt representation. taking that away from them is homophobic.

more importantly it's really racist because canary is a racist caricature (black butler to a white family). killua is a white male who canary (a black girl) works for, she canonically refers to him as "master". i shouldn't have to explain why shipping a white character and a black character who is their servant is racist.

“many people” doesn’t mean it’s right. it does not matter if they think he is white or not. it doesn’t change the fact that he simply is not. he is a japanese character. you can’t just automatically call him white.

and you may think it’s a weird thing to ship, but they are products of fiction. you have no right to tell people what they should and shouldn’t ship. you are in no superior position to make such a claim.

canary’s situation isn’t even compared to that of fucking slavery. there are a multitude of butlers/servants with lighter skin. if someone ships them they aren’t supporting a racist caricature. god there are still black people that clean houses and work service jobs and shit TODAY. not everything is a direct racist reference. take it easy.
