But we’re back now and this time I’ve given each prompt a 2-day window to allow for some more breathing time! Unfortunately I won’t be able to participate at all this year but I’d still love to see what everyone comes up with! :D
What is Double-Hearted (DDVAU)?
Double-Hearted is a comic created by Doody (@kitsuneisi) and Maruu (@xmaruu11) based off of Hermitcraft and the Life Series. It follows the adventures and misadventures of Scar and Grian as they navigate their double lives—one as the beloved celebrity hero Hotguy, the other as popular vigilante Cuteguy, both unaware they're coworkers at the same university.

Can I start working on it now?
Normally I would’ve loved to give much more of a buffer time between posting this and the start of the event for people to prepare pieces ahead of time, so of course you can still use this time to prepare!
What if I’m not an artist or a beginner artist?
There is absolutely zero skill requirement given the fact this is meant to be a list to prompt people to create! And this year, every prompt should be writer-friendly as well :]
What sites can I post on?
Feel free to post art on any site (Tumblr, Twitter, Bluesky, Instagram, etc) and if you post a piece of writing on a writing site like Ao3, it’d be appreciated if you also make a post on any of the previously mentioned sites with a link to the writing and under the tag so people can find it more easily!
This year, I decided to use a single tag this time of #DDVAUvember2025 but feel free to also use last year’s of #DDVAUvember and #DoubleHeartedVember if you’d like!

Yep! Didn’t have time to make an art piece so I received permission to use Doody’s art instead!
