This started off with Sumo0172 here asking me whether I have a favorite quote of Yuko’s as you can see from the pic above.
Point is, I have tons since Yuko is so much of a muse to me ^^; And it’s impossible to just come up with one quote since whatever Yuko says should be bundled into a book.
This was also when I realized that there were no ready translations of the quotable things that Yuko said before in the English fandom thus I went ahead and translate baidu’s page for it while adding some stuff in on my own.

32. Editor: Presently, what’s the reason that you fight in AKB48?
Yuko: This is because of my fans. I feel that I have yet to repay my fans’ love for me. When I’m no longer in AKB, I won’t have the chance to meet them one by one anymore, therefore, my goal is to shake as many of those hands that gave me their support.
33. I feel that having wrinkles is a nice symbol. After all, wrinkles emerge on our faces when we smile, thus wrinkles are the evidence of a good life.
34. In order to achieve anything, we have to first put in the time and effort.
