WHY DO I HAVE TO DYE MY HAIR
Hello there, It is been ages since I posted, Officially I am going back to Japan in a week. It is complicated feeling, I was waiting to go home, while I am going to miss friends who met in Toronto. If you have studied abroad or something, you must have felt the same feelings.
OK, Let’s get down to the main topic.
First of all, Most of East Asian have black hair (Included Japanese, Korean and Chinese), Apparently Southeast Asian as well.
I am Japanese so I can not tell other countries established, I am going to talk about Japanes case.
Basically, We can not dye our hair we like. Black hair must be protected when I apply for a job, go to a school.(until high school) If I have dyed my hair, I have to dye black again even though it is natural brunet or blond.
When I was in high school, I have natural brunet hair and teachers are strict with my hair, eventually I submitted a certificate of my hair is natural and pictures of childhood.
I did not resist at all then but that sounds weird happened.
In my opinion, anything I have to do, I do it no matter what type of hair color, who I am. I do not want to judge just hair color, nobody can see a person through hair color. Just hair color.
Overall, I am proud of my country, but occasionally I do not understand what they think, say. I am lucky to know cultural differences.
