Lately I’ve been deep back into reading fanfic and it reminded me how much love fic authors deserve. They put so much work and heart into these stories and often get way too little recognition. Fanfic and fanon honestly flesh out characters in ways that sometimes even the original media doesn’t.

This piece is inspired by my AO3 bookmarks and made for @loserchildhotpants and her incredible, genuinely heart-shattering fic “One and Only, Time and Again.”

the funny thing about the “did dean reciprocate” debate is that up until the confession itself, dean acts much more like the one who is in love. it’s blatant. it borders on embarrassing. he’s clearly very aware of it and trying to show/say it but falling short every time due to internal or external circumstances. “did he reciprocate” ??? and it’s somewhere between eight and eleven years of “i need you” and “im not leaving without you” and “whatever you did i forgive you and we can get through it together” and “i don’t want to live without you, i’d rather be dead ” and “when you’re gone all i do is search for a way to bring you back to me” and “deep down a part of me always knew you would come back because you’re the only thing in the world i have faith in” like be so serious
