SOOBIN — fake dating

soobin had the biggest crush on you, though you had no idea because you probably didn’t even know who he was (but ofc you knew who he was he was kinda hard not to notice bc he’s a giant). a few months ago you and your popular ex boyfriend had broken up which was a shock to everyone because you had been together for quite a while. the reason behind the breakup was unknown, but soobin was glad you two weren’t together anymore because he absolutely hated your ex. though he wasn’t friends with you or the guy he noticed the way he would treat you, and how he would always lie about being busy to you but then soobin would find him hanging out with a group of people from class not 10 minutes later. you deserved better than him.

over the weekend, rumours spread like wildfire about your ex dating your best friend and how that was the reason you broke up. soobin was worried about you, and he hoped you were doing okay. he was on his way to his 9am lecture that he shared with you and stopped when he turned the corner. you were pacing outside the door and that was all he needed as confirmation to those rumours he heard because your ex and best friend were also in the same class. he made his way over to you and upon hearing his footsteps you stop pacing and pretend to check something on your phone but he doesn’t immediately go inside. you look up to find him standing in front of you with one of his hands held out to you and you frown. “what are you doing?” you question, looking from his outstretched hand to his face. all he says is “take my hand. we can go in together.” and you immediately understand what he’s insinuating but you don’t question it. after a minute of hesitation you grab his hand and walk inside with your chin held high hand-in-hand with soobin; though it wasn’t how he imagined the first time holding your hand would be like he cherishes it.

YEONJUN — angst + mutual pining

from the moment yeonjun met you, he knew he liked you. it wasn’t like he had to meet you many times to decide how he felt because it was so natural with you. it was as if you knew each other in a past life. you might be thinking, soulmates?? yes. but also no. the thing is, yeonjun is quite popular and you can’t even fathom the possibility of him liking you… because he was just him. incredibly good-looking, passionate in all that he does, kind to everyone—he was a solid 10. call it cliche, but you couldn’t see it happening because he could literally have anyone he wanted, so why would he choose you? so, the moment you realized that your feelings towards him was more than just physical attraction you immediately convinced yourself that he would never like you. every time you felt the butterflies come to life in your stomach whenever you saw him told yourself no. he could never possibly love me. yeonjun is way too good for me. and it made you distance yourself from him mentally, and he noticed. and of course, that only made him assume that you didn’t like him. but yeonjun isn’t a quitter; and he planned to let you know how he felt in small ways. he would constantly flirt with you and use the cheesiest pickup lines whenever he saw you, that you just took it as a joke though he was being completely serious because why would he be? it breaks his heart every time you don’t get the message, and he knows he should be clearer but he’s also scared of being a burden to you. until one day, there’s this guy in class who so obviously likes you and always has to come up to where you and yeonjun were sitting to flirt with you. yeonjun was the only one allowed to do that. when he leaves you turn to yeonjun excitedly and say, “oh my god, don’t you think he likes me?!” and all he can do is scoff in response and mutters “i'm more obvious at flirting with you but you can’t notice it?” and you’re like “???? what???” and all he responds with is. “no, nothing. never mind.” 

BEOMGYU — soulmates/coffee shop au 

you both frequent the same cafe every evening because you are NOT a morning person and he starts to notice you because you’re aways there when he comes in for his 2nd iced americano of the day, in that same corner of the cafe hiding behind a book or your laptop. you’re usually on your own, but today you’re accompanied by a friend and as he waits in line to order he finally gets to hear the sound of your voice which he imagined what it would be like so many times. (it’s much better than he thought) he sneaks not-so-subtle glances at you every time you speak and your friend notices this and whispers to you “don’t look, but there’s this cute guy in line who keeps looking at you” and of course you do look and when you catch beomgyu looking he looks away so fast he’s sure he could’ve gotten whiplash. the barista has to ask to take his order for the second time and his ears are on fire, and you can’t help but laugh slightly because it was so cute. beomgyu of course manages to hear your giggles and instead of being embarrassed he starts smiling because he didn’t expect your laugh to sound so beautiful and he suddenly thinks to himself: i want to be the one to make her laugh. nothing happens after that though because something comes up and he has to leave but the next time he arrives to the cafe, you’re not there. he decides to sit in your usual spot and imagine what it would be like if you were there when you walk through the door. the whole time he’s thinking oh my god oh my god oh my god she’s here!! and the cafe just happens to be full and you look over to your spot and that cute boy who was looking at you the other day is sitting there. beomgyu smiles slightly when you look at him and it makes your heart flutter. when you get your iced coffee you take a sip and muster all your courage before you make your way over to him and ask, “do you mind if i sit here?”

TAEHYUN — second chance romance (aka exes to lovers)

you were each other’s first love; it was clumsy and it was messy because you were both young and didn’t know any better. you both have lots of regrets of the way things ended and meet again by chance at the gym—he’s holding a small boxing lesson for anyone interested and you who are in desperate need of a workout decide to attend, not knowing he’s the instructor because if you did, you would’ve tried to look more presentable. maybe put on a bit of mascara and lipgloss. you were in a grey sweatsuit and your hair was tied into a messy ponytail since you literally rolled out of bed before you arrived; your duffel bag slung on your left shoulder and a water bottle in your right hand you look up and see him. his fluffy hair is messy and his black t-shirt clings to his fit frame as he laughs at something someone said. your water bottle suddenly slips from your hand and makes a loud sound when it comes into contact with the ground. you scramble for it and surprise surprise so does taehyun. everyone is looking at you and your cheeks heat up as you reach for it but taehyun beats you to it and you look at him with wide eyes. his gaze meets yours and he looks at you for a moment too long, a million different emotions flashing through his eyes as you both rise slowly, not breaking eye contact until he finally says “… y/n?”

HUENINGKAI — friends to lovers

honestly, if someone were to ask you how exactly you and kai became friends you wouldn’t know how to respond. yeah you both had mutual friends and saw each other on the odd occasion you were with those friends, but you guys never really talked. it sort of built up from that; those unsuspecting meet ups and awkward exchanges of ‘hello’s’ until one day those hellos turned into ’nice to see you again’s’ and ‘how are you doing’s’ and pretty soon you guys started to hang out more often, just the two of you. there was never a dull moment when you were together—you guys were either out of breath from laughing at something stupid or quiet, each doing your own thing; alone together. there was no in-between. it was in fact the perfect friendship; you and kai never really thought about the possibility of your relationship as being anything more than that. until, kai would find himself staring at you with a small smile on face and turning away as soon as you meet his eyes. hugs start to last a little longer than they should. every love song you listened to started to remind you of him. it was obvious to everyone around you that you both had feelings for each other, but you were both to scared to let the other know for fear of losing the other. it's not until one of your friends is with you watching the two of you banter and jokingly says, “so when’s the wedding?” and it leaves both of you extremely red-faced and flustered.

“ahh that was so close!!!” kai groans as he leans his head against the glass of the pink claw machine in defeat.

beside him, all you can do is purse your lips as you try your best not to scream in frustration.

you and kai had been walking around after your little lunch date and happened to come across a claw machine sitting on the edge of the street, just outside a cute stationary shop. of course, with kai being a plushie enthusiast he immediately dragged you to it and you didn't protest.

you were both excited and perhaps a little too confident, because you were now on your twelfth attempt, lost a little over twenty dollars and won zero plushies.

"we were actually really close this time y/n!" kai says pointing at the little molang plushies stacked up near the drop box of the machine. "we will win this time i can feel it."

"this stupid thing took our money! it's 100% rigged kai, i'm done with this." you grip the side of the machine and start to shake it.

kai laughs and stops you from breaking the machine by placing his hands on your shoulders. he leans his head down so that he's at eye level with you. "y/n. we will win this time. we will. do you trust me?"

you give him a wry look. "no, not really."

he pouts and shakes your shoulders a little. "be a little more supportive please, my love."

you sigh and place your hands on his shoulders as well so it looks as if you both are in a little huddle. "ok. we got this. you got this. i believe in you. that molang is yours."

he grins, satisfied. "that molang is mine!"

you both stand and he holds his hand out to you and hesitantly, you place the token in his hand. he breathes out and stretches his fingers before he places the coin in the slot.

"wait," he says, his hand millimetres from the start button.

you give him a bewildered look. "what?"

he bends down a little and then taps his cheek. "gimme a kiss for good luck."

you roll your eyes but there's an amused smile on your face as you grab his arm to pull him closer to you before pressing a kiss to his cheek.

his lopsided grin reappears for a moment before his nose scrunches in concentration as he presses start.

you're both holding your breath as kai positions the claw, changing his mind at the last minute.

"now!" you commanded.

kai obliged, and both of you held your breath as the claw seemed to come down in slow motion. it fell and captured one of the molang's but both of you knew better than to celebrate.

unlike the last few times, the claw seemed to actually hold onto the plush. "oh my god oh my god," you say, gripping onto his wrist.

the claw snapped up−and the molang went flying... straight into the drop box.

you and kai immediately look at each other in shock before you're both jumping up and down screaming.

"you did it!!!!" you yell.

"i did it!!!" kai yells back.

you both finally calm down a little, still buzzing as kai finally fetches the plushie and holds it out to you. "for you."

"what?" you ask in confusion. "kai no way, it's yours. molang is your favourite."

he shakes his head. "i won it for you. a little something to hug whenever you're missing me."

and you swear in that moment your heart never felt so warm, so loved that all you can do is wrap him in the biggest hug because he was with, you right now. and you wished he would be with you forever.

you could hug molang later.

soobin was busily munching on his favourite bread that you had surprised him with today when you showed up on his doorstep. your boyfriend had taken it happily and almost squeezed the life out of you gave you the biggest hug in return.

he had forgotten about it then, since he was more excited to see you after almost a week. you guys talked for hours about everything and nothing until you both ended up falling asleep in each other’s arms on the couch.

when you woke up you were covered in a blanket and your head on a pillow instead of soobin’s chest and you immediately sat up to look for him. you spotted him sitting at the table, snacking on the bread and scrolling through his phone.

he looked so cute in that moment, that you decided to remain on the couch, your arms resting on the edge to watch him.

as he chewed, the dimples in his cheeks appeared and disappeared as he occasionally wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and you couldn’t help the smile that grew on your face.

it was simple, mundane moments like these that made you feel so happy and alive.

soobin finally looked up catching your loving gaze and he smiled instantly, his dimples on full display. “y/n! you’re awake!!” he stuffed the remaining piece he was eating in his mouth and grabbed a fresh one from the bag and walked over to you.

you scooted over and patted the spot beside and he sat down cross-legged to face you.

“here! you must be hungry after your nap.” he held out the bread to you and you accepted it, grateful for the snack.

“how long was i out?” you ask as you open up the package and take a bite into the bread.

“like three and a half hours,” he says, and raises his thumb to the corner of your mouth to wipe off some crumbs. “you must’ve been tired.”

“yeah, i’ve been very sleep deprived sleep deprived lately.” as if on cue, you yawn making soobin smile again.

you reach your free hand to poke his dimple and it makes his smile widen. “what are you doing?” he asks trying not to laugh.

“have i ever told you how much i love your dimples?” you say between chews, before you cup his cheek in your hand.

“hmm, yes. i think so. multiple times actually.” he puts his hand over yours and holds it. “but i can’t remember the last time you told me you loved me.”

you roll your eyes. “i’m pretty sure i told you that as soon as i saw you.”

“but i want to hear you say it now.” he pouts and squeezes your hand slightly. “pleaseee,”

you sigh. “fine since you asked so nicely,” but you continue to munch on the bread and wiggle your eyebrows at him.

“ahhh y/n!” he whines shaking your hand, which was still in his hold.

you finish the last few bits of the bread, trying to hold in your laugh before you free your hand from his hold and grab his face in your hands.

“soobin. i…” you trail off and he grows impatient and wraps his arms around you into a bearhug.

“say it,” he says as he starts to tickle your sides. “or else you’ll never be free from me.”

“s-soobin,” you want to reply but he doesn’t stop making you laugh uncontrollably. “let me breathe!!”

“you ready to say it?”

he finally stops, lessening the grip on you and you take in a few breaths before you look up at him. “ i love you.”

he grins and starts to hug you again, resting his chin on the top of your head. “i love you too.”

you gave yourself one last once over of your outfit in the full body mirror in your room, satisfied with how your black dress looked, falling just above your knees. you were going out on a double date to meet your friend’s new boyfriend tonight, and you had finally gotten yeonjun to agree to go with you.

you both were extremely busy the past few weeks that you barely saw each other, so it was understandable that he wanted his free time to be spent with you alone. but, it was your best friend and you knew your boyfriend had a good judge of character so you wanted him to come to back you if you had to convince your friend that the guy was some sort of weirdo.

you reach for your perfume on your dresser, still in its box and spray some on sighing at the scent. you were recently getting more into perfumes and you decided to experiment with this one since it wasn’t a scent you usually went for. spraying on a generous amount, you set it back down and grab your purse from your bed and exit your room.

yeonjun is sitting on the sofa in your living room, mindlessly scrolling through his phone so he doesn’t notice you at first.

“jun! we gotta go now or else we’ll be late.” you say.

he looks up from his phone and looks at you from head to toe, a grin growing on his face as he rises from his seat abandoning his phone. he walks up to you and places his hands on your waist, tilting his head to check you out again from up close. “you look gorgeous baby.”

“thank you,” you giggle and wrap your hands around his neck.

he frowns for a second, before he leans his head into the crook of your neck before pulling back to look at you.

“you got a new perfume?”

you nod excitedly. “yeah! i wanted to try something new. what do you think?”

he leans in again to take another whiff briefly before shaking his head. “yeah, it’s too sexy.”

“sexy?” you ask, letting your hands fall to his chest. “you’ve never called me that before.”

“i have, and you know where.” his eyes darken slightly as his hold on your waist tightens as he starts to guide you back into your room. all the while his lips find their way to your neck as he places a trail of slow, sloppy kisses down to your collarbone.

“yeonjun… we have to go,”

“hmmm,” he hums against your skin before sucking on your sweet spot. you gasp unwillingly as your back arches slightly and oh—you can feel him pressed against your lower belly.

“y-yeonjun,” you say again, trying to regain your composure. “my friend is waiting.”

“so am i.” he finally meets your eyes again, pulling you closer to him, the feel of him against you makes you weak in the knees. he senses this and steadies you against him, before he leans in to press a long kiss to your lips, and you can't help but kiss him back. he slowly leads you closer to your bed, making sure not to detach his lips from yours the entire way.

you didn’t even notice you were in your room again, all rational thought leaving you the moment you felt how much he wanted you.

you feel the back of your legs hit your mattress as he pulls away to help you sit for a moment and all you can do is watch him as he starts to unbutton his dress shirt, your desire building.

you watch, hypnotized as he throws his shirt to the side and places his hands on your on your shoulders to lower you onto the bed and hovers above you, his eyes not leaving yours for a moment.

fuck it, you think and pull him down to kiss you and he smiles as if in victory that he won you over before he deepens the kiss, trailing one of his hands up your thigh.

your friend was going to kill you.

“i'm home!!" a voice sang loudly from the living room, and you startled slightly. you had been busy studying in your room all morning for the midterm you had tomorrow while your favourite study playlist hummed in your ears, promptly preventing you from hearing the rest of the world.

well... with one exception.

you paused your music and just as you did you felt a hand near your ear. you turned just as the mystery person unplugged the airpod from your ear. your boyfriend, beomgyu, was leaning against the back of your chair with a huge grin on his face.

"i wonder what beautiful song my y/n was listening to that caused her to not hear her very own beloved arrive?"

you rolled your eyes and took out the other airpod from your ear and set it on your desk. "oh darling, fear not because i heard you loud and clear. unfortunately."

beomgyu scoffed and handed you the airpod he'd taken. "oh please, i know you've been missing me a lot lately. all you do is study! have you even eaten anything today?"

you sigh as you get up to stretch your stiff limbs. "well obviously i have to study if i don't want to fail, gyu."

he pouts in response. "you didn't answer my question. did you eat today?"

"...i had some coffee earlier?"

“i figured. that’s why i brought home some takeout for you.” beomgyu sighed dramatically and placed both of his hands on your shoulders, with a fond look in his eyes. “y/n, what would you do without me?”

“probably starve?” you joked.

he shook his head, a small smile forming on his lips as his hands slowly trailed down your arms to take hold of your own before raising them to his lips and pressing a kiss onto your palms. you smile at him widely, then reach up on your tip toes to pinch his cheeks. “okay, now please lead me to the food i’m kinda getting hungry now.”

“of course, but first…. cuddles!!” he yells and, without warning, he picks you up and carries you to the living room all while you shriek in his arms for him to put you down.

beomgyu finally sets you on the couch where sure enough, some takeout and some boba are waiting across from you on the coffee table. but before you can even reach for the food, he flops on top of you and wraps his arms around your torso, nuzzling his face into your neck in the process.

“beomgyu i—”

he sighs and lifts his head up to look at you. “i know. lets just stay like this for a little bit ok? i kinda missed you today.”

“gross.”

“shut up, you’re ruining the moment.” he rests his head into the crook of your neck and breathes in. “love you.” he murmurs softly against your skin.

you smile and press a kiss onto his forehead. “i love you too gyu.”

the first thing you notice when you open your eyes is that your face is pressed into something warm, and incredibly firm. it takes you a few moments to register that it’s your boyfriend’s bare back, and suddenly the events of last night start to play in your head and you feel your cheeks warm. the heat radiating from taehyun’s back mixed with your own memories of the eventful night you had with him are a bit too hot to handle so you start to peel yourself off of him as slowly as you can without waking him.

it almost works, but the moment you try to get up is when you notice that you’re still naked so you end up falling back onto the bed trying to cover yourself with the sheets. taehyun stirs beside you and you decide to try to get up as fast as you can—but taehyun is faster. 

he turns to face you and wraps an arm over your torso pinning you to the bed and you sigh. “i was trying not to wake you.” you say sheepishly with the sheets bunched up to your chest.

“hmmm, was already awake.” he responds, sounding half-asleep as he moves his head closer to yours. “where are you going?”

his breath tickles your ear and it makes you squirm in his grasp. “to shower, tae. i’m all sweaty.”

he opens one of his eyes to look at you before pouting. “without me?”

you roll your eyes. “yes. without you.” you abandon your hold on the sheets and try to lift his arm off of you with no luck. damn him for being so fit. “it’s never just showering with you babe.” 

that makes him laugh as he throws one of his legs over both of yours and you groan. you’re really trapped now. 

taehyun props his head on his free arm to look at you. “i will neither confirm nor deny that statement, but y/n, look on the bright side: it saves water.” 

“i would argue that it does the opposite, actually.” you say, still struggling to break free.

“i know you want to.” he teases in a sing-song voice, and just as you’re about to reply he rolls on top of you, trapping you with his entire body with his face inches away from yours.

you freeze, your heart doing somersaults at the sight of the dimpled grin on his face. “c’mon baby, i promise to make you feel good. you benefit and so does the environment. it’s a win-win.”

you suddenly can’t think straight because you kind of do want him right now because he looks too good  with his messy bedhead and the streams of sunlight highlighting his bare skin. and he notices, so he leans down and presses his his lips to yours, slowly at first until he tilts his head to deepen the kiss. your hands instinctively wrap around his neck in an attempt to pull him closer and he bites down on your bottom lip, making you gasp which allows him slip his tongue into your mouth. 

your head becomes fuzzy and all you’re focusing on are his lips and the way he feels against you—so right and so good—but he pulls away all too quickly to smirk at you.

you blink up at him, trying to catch your breath. “what-“

taehyun leans towards your ear before you can continue and whispers, “i’ll go turn on the shower, yeah?” before swiftly rolls off of you and gets up from the bed then turns to look at you over his shoulder. “i’ll be waiting.” he says with a wink as he heads towards the bathroom.

you close your eyes for a moment because you know you’d be lying to yourself if you said you weren’t anticipating what would happen when you followed him. you did actually want this. and plus, you were going to save on water too. you sigh when you hear the sound of the shower turning on, because you know you can’t resist him.

“for the environment,” you say shaking your head but there’s a smile on your face as you practically leap out of bed after him.

you and taehyun were getting ready for a friend’s wedding—well, you were still getting ready. taehyun had finished ages ago (since he just had to put on his suit and tie) and was patiently waiting for you to finish. he was sitting on your shared bed, watching you apply the finishing touches of your makeup at your vanity while he hummed to the tune of ‘marry you’ .

reaching for your lipgloss you applied it to your lips quickly, catching taehyun’s gaze in the mirror you wink and he chuckles in response.

you (finally) stand and fix your heather slip dress just as you feel taehyun come up behind you. he places his hands on your waist and leans down to press a kiss to your neck and you lean into him slightly. 

you turn to face him suddenly, with his hands still positioned on your waist and he looks at you questioningly. 

“hold on, let me fix this for you.” you smooth your fingers over his tie where he couldn’t tie it right, fixing it. “there you go.” 

“thank you.” taehyun smiles at you then he leans in for a kiss to which you return eagerly.  you both pull away, slightly breathless and you smile up at him.

“mmm,” taehyun says and licks his lips slightly as his hands run up and down your arms. “your lipgloss tastes nice.”

you gasp, pulling out of his embrace. “ah, i forgot!” 

but before you can look in the mirror to assess the damage his arm snakes around your waist and he pulls you flush against his chest, your noses touching.

“not so fast. i wanna taste some more.” he said cheekily and all you can do is giggle as his lips meet yours again.
