Just shushed some kids yelling past midnight on the walkways, facemask on and hair in a towel. Immediate silence. Probably terrified by the Marge SimposonXBlindboy Karen hybrid.

Ming the Panda photographing Bert Hardy’s Son, Mike, at London Zoo, December 1938.
Maybe if I bring it up again I’ll feel better about it. It didn’t work the last 86 times but I’m feeling lucky
I recently watched Trainspotting and thought it was fine, but overrated. Although, it does have interesting symbolism and a lot can be discussed about it's historical and social context. It also raises questions about youth, opportunity, poverty, class, geography and identity. Shot beautifully too. Fuck it, maybe it is a good film after all.
you seem avoidant for a girl who’s so hungry to experience the full breadth of human connection
felt ok but then remembered
I haven't put on any eye make up in about two weeks now. I'm enjoying it.
Always amazes me to look back on the fact that 12 years ago today I met a boy in popworld of all places, told him I didn't want anything serious, and yet here we are all these years later on the other side of the world, married with two children. Quite the escalation.
I'm just going to say it. I have never liked Amanda Knox. I absolutely am not saying she was guilty, but something about her has always made me feel deeply uncomfortable and I have never quite been able to put my finger on it. She is entitled to talk about her trauma and her experiences, which she has done multiple times over the years in documentaries and interviews. But a comedy show? And in the UK?! Where Meredith was from?! No wonder the Kercher family are absolutely appalled.
shane lynch is in (on his way to?) china apparently 👀 anyway, there's another typhoon in my area and everything has now closed so I probably won't be bumping in to him on my way to the dentist tomorrow morning like I thought I might.
My husband is on a diet. Fine in itself, good for him. However, he is both specific and vague as hell about what he can and cannot eat, which is incredibly frustrating seeing as I am in charge of grocery shopping. All I have managed to get out of him is that he can have boiled eggs, chicken, yoghurt and fruit. But then he complains that he needs more variety, so I ask him what else he CAN eat, and he tells me to ask chatgpt. I want TO SCREAM.
Something just occurred to me in the category of "experiences I feel are universal but are probably not." So here's a poll!
Have you ever been tent camping?
Yes, but not since I was a child
Yes, I have camped in a tent as an adult (possibly also as a child)
No, I have never gone camping in a tent.
We're including any kind of tent, but not RVs, campers, or cabins. Open-air camping (with no tent) or with tarp tents counts as tent camping for purposes of this question.
went camping for the first time as an adult only a few years ago when I was far too pregnant with small toddler in tow, but still loved it (1 night was ENOUGH tho!). Would love to do it again now the kids are a bit older.
Realising that I don't need to be constantly listening to something or having some sort of visual input from a screen and just be...alone with my thoughts for a bit has been so liberating in so many ways.
girls just get off your phones. Anything algorithm based is boring as hell. Only look up the things that specifically interest you, blog, create, keep in touch. That's all. We don't need to be consuming the mass of detritus from doomscrolling. Be a person again.
desperately trying to be supportive and not judgemental of my friend who is opening a portrait commission business...for furries.
Apparently there's a lot of money in it...?!
Literally the best meal in the entire world is some combination of bread, cheese, olive oil, herb and tomatoes.
