One hell of a butler

"I am." She nodded. "I’m a people watcher. I like to watch all the dancing that’s going on. Makes me wish I was short and coordinated, y’know? I’m sure you do. You’re tall just like me."

She laughed a little and grabbed his arm. It seemed odd that she would do that to a man who was merely an acquaintance, but the good vibes had overcome her, and she was too happy to care. “Wanna grab a drink?”

"I like watching people as well. I actually prefer it quite a bit." He smiled, "Actually. I'm fairly decent at dancing. The royal family figured it was worth something to teach me a variety of skills and dancing was one."

He felt her grab his arm, "I would love to get a drink." He paused a moment as a few random pairs were called for the next round of dancing. Sanjay had signed up and evidently so had Felicity because they were partners, "Well it seems we are paired up for the moment. So let me do this properly."

He slipped out from her grasp and gave a deep bow, "Miss Felicity, may I have this dance?"

Sanjay was definitely not hard to spot in a crowd. His white hair and absurd tallness set him apart from every other guy there. She giggled to herself and tapped his shoulder. “Hey there, you.”

Remembering the formalities that had been taken when they first met, the waitress smiled and curtseyed, something she had only ever done ironically. “Thank you. You look quite handsome as well.” She fixed one of the bobbi pins that had gone out of place. “Just you tonight?”

"Heh. It's nothing special. But yes it is just me. I didn't really have anyone to ask to this festival." Sanjay smiled, "So are you enjoying the festival so far, Felicity?" 

This was a little strange for him. He figured it was a lot more normal for him to not be so formal. So he would have to drop the 'Miss' part. But he already knew that he was going to slip up a lot.

Sanjay hadn't been at this festival long, taking a while to get out of the house today. And today of all days, he was dressed differently. He wore jeans (which still felt horribly foreign to him) and a nice button up shirt. His hair was in a ponytail just for the reason he thought it looked better than his typical braid would. 

He had towered over the crowd, unsurprising to him. But as he watched the people dance and admired the dresses the girls wore, he felt someone tap his shoulder. "Hm?" He turned around and smiled at the sight of the familiar blond woman, "Hello Miss Felicity."

Sanjay looked at her dress, "You look lovely today."

[Gives him a few quick nods, pulling up the top of her dress] You too- ah [Compresses her lips, before waving her hand dismissively] Ah-no no it’s not strange, it’s- [clears her throat again] fine. i’ts fine. Erm-did you just happen to wander this way or…?

It's good you don't think it isn't strange. [He oddly relaxes at this. He had been getting strange looks all day so this was a relief.] Yes I was just wandering about and I happened to end up here. [Finally notices the hoe in her hand.] Miss Molly, it can't be good for you to do farm work in a dress such as that. Are you sure you must go through such a dare? [The purest look of concern crosses his features.]

[Raises her eyebrows, trying to make her smile seem somewhat reassuring. Heaven forbid this adorable, enormously tall maid think she was making fun of him.]

Is this a fashion statement, or are you a victim of a certain Truth or Dare Thursday?

[Her smile was a bit reassuring] I normally see nothing with wearing garments such as this, though this is a little... short for my tastes. But this is just for a dare. I think I would like herbal tea and the special for today.

[Clears her throat again, trying not to stare.] Uh- well it’s not that I’m not used to these kinds of clothes it’s- just uncomfortable…especially in this warmer weather [Waves a hand in her face as though fanning herself]

[Continues looking over the man; at this point sh’e given up] Oh, I’m Molly. It’s uh-nice to meet you.

Ah I see. Leather does happen to do that. [He swallowed a bit, firmly looking at her face, trying not to stare at the dress.] It's nice to meet you- [He blushed a tad bit deeper] Is something wrong, Miss Molly? Is it that strange I'm dressed in such a way?

[She blinks as the newcomer speaks up - she had not expected that voice to come out of that body. She blinks again - and a third time - before the smile is back in full force. She’s used to people towering over her, but never before has she encountered someone so tall and still adorable.]

Depends on what you’re in the mood for! I like hot drinks and fruity desserts myself, so I’d probably lean toward a cup of fruit tea and today’s special - strawberry-apricot dutch babies. ♥ If you’re more a chocolate fan, though?

[Gestures to the tray of brownies in front of her proudly.] Then nothing beats the classics! Say, um— [Bites her lip, looking back down at the outfit. Yep, still in love.] Can I ask you a question, while you’re deciding?

[Sanjay considered his options, and looking over the menu to try and find something to eat. He paused when the girl spoke up, he wondered if he was pulling this maid costume off a little too well. Well, he had worn clothes like this before and was told he could pass for a freakishly tall woman. He gave her a shy smile.] Yes...?

[He thought over any kind of possibility she could ask about, and he got the feeling that she was referring to the dress.]

[Sanjay hobbled around, trying to get a good idea of where it was exactly he was. He wasn't particularly looking where he was going and he accidentally bumped into someone.] I'm sorry- [He paused when he realized he just accidentally ran into a woman in a tight red leather dress.] Were you dared to wear something too?

[Currently mid swing of her hoe, she finds herself lurching forward at the bump of a stranger, her tool completely missing the ground and hitting a rock instead, Molly feeling the recoil running through her body] Er-

[Turns after a moment] It’s a- [Blinks, looking at the man’s outfit, staring for a few moments as a slight flush colors her cheeks]

Uh…y-yes…[Clears her throat] Um you too?

[Sanjay felt his cheeks heat up as she stared at him in the dress. Sanjay fidgeted a little, anxiously fixing his stocking] Yeah... I um. I don't wear things like this often. [He has before. But they weren't nearly as short.] I'm... I'm Sanjay.

"SHIVER ME TIMBERS!" She drew her "sword" again and hopped up on a bench. "It was yar who stole my booty! Return it once or yee shall walk the plank!"

Sanjay yips a little at Felicity's sudden appearance, and wonders why she was acting like a pirate. He tugs on the skirt of the maid uniform he had to wear for this and looks around, "Miss Felicity are you alright?"

A… fountain? 

Felicity had never gone into such an exquisite place. The closest thing she ever had to a fountain was the time a pipe blowe her sink burst while she was asleep and she woke up to her room being converted into a large puddle. But here, the sound of rushing water filled the nearly empty house. How lonely this man must feel when his master is away.

"Hmm…" she smiled, "Can I see the kitchen? As a chef-in-training, I’m really curious about the tools you use. I-" she paused, "assume you’re the cook."

"Ah then I hope you will be pleased!" He lead her through the room and through one of the doors on the far end, "Yes I do all the cooking here. Though lately I've been making too much, forgetting that Master Amir is currently abroad."

The door swings open for them and she is there to witness the remarkably huge kitchen. The kitchen was clean and that gave the feeling you could find this at a five-star restaurant somewhere. The room also opened up to the dining room (which had it's own entrance). 

"Voila."

*hands you a maid outfit* Wear this.

[Reluctantly puts it on] Ah- um… [tugs the skirt a little] It’s rather short… ((Like if ya want cross dressed Sanjay o3o))

Heartache of a Fool || Charles & Sanjay

The story isn't really... really not a happy one. But it is one I know best and I have known by heart. I like to call it 'The Princess and The Fool'. [He clears his throat.] Long ago, a fool was born, but he hadn't a mother nor a father. The fool was alone, but he believed that he wasn't lonely. The fool lived in an orphanage, quietly going about his days and doing what the man who ran the orphanage told him to. And one day, the King came into the orphanage and met the young fool.

He told the fool, that he was going to take him in and have him work for the royal family. The fool was happy. The fool cared for the King's young son and helped serve the royal family, and one day. The fool met a girl, a princess. To him, she was the most beautiful person in the world. And much to the fool's surprise, the Princess liked him as well. 

The fool was so happy! The fool and the princess spent all the time they could together, playing and talking and enjoying each other's company. And before either of them could realize it, the two had fallen in love. But her family would never let the two be together, so they were lovers in secret. 

Sneaking kisses and stealing each other away to be together, the two were so deeply in love. As they got older, they considered running away together. But, of course good things couldn't last. The princess was put into an arranged marriage. And the princess had to go through with it. The night before she were to go meet her husband to be, the princess and the fool spent a night together. And the next day, she was gone.

And though he could never have her, the fool still loves her. Despite the pain of not being able to be with her, the fool is still just happy to know that he was capable of loving someone in such a way.
