Alex: Bit and pieces that are not making sense honestly. I like i remember my brother doing something...

                              “Well, what better way is there, right?” Ophelia laughed softly and ran her fingers through Rocky’s fur, giving her a good scratch on her side, where she knew she loved it—- soon enough her paw was in the air, scratching at nothing while Ophelia did the work for her. It made her chuckle gently. “Um, anyway… do you want to go for coffee or something? Or cake? Or just… anything at all you want, because you should have it. As a thank you.”

“You’re right. If I’m going down, it better be because of a large dog.” He laughed as well. “I’d love to have food with you.” He smiled, always hungry and up for food. “Where should we put here? Or will she come with us?” He asked.

“Yeah, I’m sure that I’ll try to spin something off of another idea. So, it’ll bit a bit more creative but I still need some kind of base to go off of. Hopefully I won’t be judge too harshly because of it.”

Caiden shook his head when she mentioned getting judged by people. He definitely didn’t agree. it was a way to express each other. “I don’t think you’ll get judged.  Those things are so amazing, in my opinion.” he chuckled.

Caiden laughed and nodded. “They were adorable. I definitely recommend them. I’m a bit of a sucker for kids and so I love those kinds of things.” He shrugged. “I’ve seen a few of those. I’ve seen halloween ones, and Christmas ones. They’re cool.”

“You do?” She said with a little smile, always happy to know that people loved children as much as she did. “I’ve seen some really good ones too but I’d like to be creative, and I’m afraid all the things have been done that It’s a bit harder to think of new things.”

“Yeah, I can understand that. Especially now, it seems everything has already been taken, but you can find somethings!

“Apologies,” Davis said, looking down at the unsightly stain on his shirt, wincing slightly at the smell it was currently emitting. “My son seems incapable of distinguishing me from a receptacle for human waste… “

Caiden glanced down at the shirt, taking in the questionable substances on it and shrugged. “No worries, I work in a hospital and we never know what’s going to be thrown on me each day.” He chuckled.

                             Ophelia laughed lightly under her breath at the voice Caiden used, and that Rocky immediately approved off, her mouth opening so her tongue could fall out the side like she was grinning up at the tall man, just seconds before she jumped up to give his face some extra attention. “Oh, Rocky!” Ophelia tried to sound stern, but she probably didn’t do a very good job—- at least she didn’t seem to react at all. “I’m sorry about her though, she can be a little over enthusiastic sometimes.”

Caiden just chuckled and shook his head. “She’s fine.” he assured her. “If I go down because of a dog then that’s how I go down and I accept that wholeheartedly.” He chuckled.

Isabella couldn’t help but smile at the thought. “That’s a good idea as well,” she nodded her head, almost regretting she’d told Nic given how good it would have been to get him by surprise on a video, but that night hadn’t been the best one and Isabella had blurted it out because she was scared. “I think I’m going to buy those shirts whether I need them for the video or not.”

                             “I love cruises, so does my mom and sister.. my dad on the other hand? Not really. It’s like, asking a bunch of stubborn people to work together in order to have fun and it’s.. not always working with us you know?” Half smiling, the blonde typed away quickly until she came up to yet another destination – one that caught her attention. “Have you ever.. been to Portugal?”

“So maybe not a cruise then. My brother isn’t a fan of them either. I never understood it. They’re the best kinds of vacation.” He chuckled. “I’ve never been to Portugal, no. But I heard it’s a lot of fun.”

“What others have you seen?” Isabella asked with a curious gaze as her eyes wandered over him. They worked together and she knew him, but she wasn’t sure if he recognized that she was one of his resident surgeons. With a small smile and nodded her head. “I hope so too.”

Caiden shrugged, trying to think of the ones the families told him about as he did his rounds. “One I saw around thanksgiving time, was the couple stuffed a turkey and then the mother had a shirt on that said I’m stuffed with a baby turkey on it. It was cute and simple.” He supplied. Caiden knew Isabella from around the hospital, but he mainly dealt with the children receiving chemo treatments, so they hadn’t chatted too much before had, but he knew well of her work.

“Fluent if you ask me to describe myself and what classes I’m taking,” Allie said with a laugh. Maybe she just wasn’t a person with an ear for language but it was like she had never studied French in the first place. “But Hawaii, that’s surprising. Seeing as you’ve found yourself in Lanford.”

Hearing him talk about home was something Allie couldn’t quite get her head around. And maybe that’s because the city she hailed from gave her more anxiety than it was worth but still. “Plan on staying here in Lanford or is this just a pitstop until your next haunt makes itself clear?”

Caiden chuckled in response “I understand that. I took Spanish growing up for so many years and I don’t even think I could tell you how I’m doing today.” He said with a laugh. “Hawaii is definitely beautiful, but I absolutely love the hospital that I’m working in. St. Jude. It’s just an amazing place to work at. The other staff are great and I love the kids.” He could’t exactly explain it, but when he’d applied to many hospitals for a permanent position after being a traveling nurse, St Jude felt right. 

The Bradshaw family had never stayed in one place for long, and Caiden seemed to embody that as he grew up, but he was wanting to settle down more and more. “Honestly, I’m not sure yet. I’ve never been in one place longer than three years, but I’m tired of moving so much, really. I just want to make a home in a small town, like this.” He gestured around them. “I love it here so far and could see myself living here forever, but I do really miss the south, so who knows what could happen.”

                        Ophelia was clearly very relieved—- almost overwhelmingly so, but thankfully not to the point where she couldn’t speak. “Yeah, me too,” she said and looked up at Caiden, a bright smile forming on her lips. Rocky was busy ignoring her in favor of Caiden, her cold nose pressing against his fingers. “I think she likes you.”                        

Caiden smiled, looking up at Ophelia from the dog and back down. “Well I like her too.” He said in his “puppies and babies” voice. “She’s adorable, really.” He said, laughing as the energetic puppy jumped up on his legs where he was crouched to lick his face.

“No, we don’t.” Isabella shook her head when the mention of Dominic arose. He liked violence and things that were far from what she wanted the baby to be around, so that didn’t work out for her. “But the shoe thing doesn’t seem like half that bad of an idea. Maybe our shoes and then the baby shoes on the sat. — or the hat.” She smiled and nodded her head, liking that a lot. “He’s in the picture but we’re still figuring things out. My family hasn’t met him yet either, but they live out of the country so that makes it a little difficult.”

Caiden nodded at the response of not much in common. He could relate to a point. He and Jenny didn’t have the most similarities, but they worked. “Glad I could help a bit.” He smiled. “Working in a pediatrics hospital, you’d be surprised how many announcements I’ve seen or been shown by parents.” He chuckled, glad some could be put to use. “Well I hope they’ll meet someday and get along well.”

                                      Ironically enough, Delilah found nothing wrong at replying to whoever had spoken to her. Stranger danger wasn’t jumping in her mind that moment, too busy thinking about how she could make everyone happy, combining every request and expectation in such a short time. Hell, she was supposed to be good at these things. “Uh.. something that had the whole deal. Mountains, beaches, the freaking exotic experience without the danger of tripping into an active volcano.”

Caiden paused to think for a moment, humming softly, of where he could suggest that would give them what they wanted. “If you really want all three, the only places I could think to recommend are in Europe. I dunno if you wanna go cross country.” He said with a shrug. “Italy is a pretty great country that has just about everything to it’s terrain.” He suggested. “Or like a cruise of some sort. If you like water.”

“Go on, Delilah you can do it. It’s only going to take you an hour, they said. It’s the funnest task, they said. We only trust you to plan the family vacation.” The female muttered, eyes focused on the laptop’s screen, different tabs of destinations and activities opened at the same time.

“What was I thinking?”

Caiden glanced over at the woman sitting at the bar table next to him at the coffee shop with a lifted eyebrow. She was muttering to herself and Caiden was beginning to worry for her caffeine consumption as she was looking as her laptop screen. “What kinds of places are you looking into?” He called over to her, thinking he could help or at least provide her with a distraction for a minute.
