The unknown assailant nodded once to his man on his right. From within his jacket he produced a dagger. Nadya moved to the centre giving herself room to defend herself. She had a dagger secreted in her own boot, but waited to pull it. The two thugs may of been dangerous to an untrained man in a tavern brawl or if they had the drop, By Nadya knew her abilities, and unless these men were as skilled as the man Nadya trained with, Nadya knew she could defend herself. “Put that away before you hurt yourself” Nadya said. Whatever reaction they expected, it hadn’t been that.

Caiden had been assigned to be a backup for Nadya, and even though he doubted the girl would need his help, because well, she was pretty tough to kill, he agreed anyway. As a lack of anything else to do. He had been hiding behind a wall quietly, on his phone until he heard the warning tone in the girl’s voice. He snuck up behind the thugs, sending a quick wink to the girl to show he wasn’t going to steal her job and pulled his knife out, holding it against the thug’s neck. “A good thief always watches his back, y’know.” Cai muttered, letting the guy, who was shaking by now with a light cut across the neck. He turned and watched him start to run, then turned to Nadya. “All yours. He’s scared, so he’ll give in to you.”
