I’m sure you know why the Jewish people take up such a small percentage of the world’s population. For centuries, the Jewish people have been forced to wallow in destruction and despair, and surely we should have remained there. But instead we pulled ourselves up from the murkiest depths through sheer force of will. And we did not just survive. No. We thrived.

So I understand why you hate us. It’s because you’re jealous. You know that deep down, you will never be able to accomplish what we have. You will always remain trapped in your meaningless, empty existence knowing that you were never strong enough to fight to be the person you wished you were.

If I, a Jewish person, am privileged, then it is not due to the amount of money in my bank account, but due to the recognition that no matter how abusive the outside world can be to me, I can still be the best person I can hope to be and even triumph, so long as I at least try.
