Dark hues glanced over the woman, she knew her well enough to know exactly how clumsy she was. Pulling the woman’s sweater back she glanced over the bruises on her arms once more. “This–this is not from falling. How stupid do you think I am that I can’t tell what that comes from. Are you back with that son of a bitch? —Did he do this to you?!”
Cait moved from her grasp and tightened her sweater around herself and her middle. “I’m not with Colin anymore and haven’t been since I broke off our engagement.
