A look inside ARTNIA's art gallery :)

I'm so happy I was able to go to ARTNIA, the gift shop/art gallery/café by Square Enix! It's a tiny place shaped somewhat like a slime in Shinjuku. The strawberry moogle pancakes were delicious, as was the honey cappuccino with chocobo latte art. Of course, they were almost too cute to eat! I loved the art gallery most of all--a red crystal hung from the ceiling over a pile of materia in the middle of the room. Soft music from the Final Fantasy games played in the background as patrons browsed the beautiful jewelry (I loved Kairi's necklace most!) and original sketches. It was so peaceful I never wanted to leave!

This was my favorite cat at Calico Cat Café. I love how she folded her paws--so elegant ;o!

Conor and I went to a cat café in Shinjuku called "Calico Cat Café" yesterday. Overall, this place was definitely high up on my list of best cafés in Tokyo! I really like how, for a price of 300 yen, you could get a small tub of chicken to feed the cats. Usually at cat cafés you have to beg for feline attention. Here was no exception, but if you were willing to shell out for the tasty chicken treats, the cats were all over you (as you can see here). Definitely an idea I will keep in mind for my future cat café~ ;3

The weather has been really cloudy and rainy as of late, but this cute rainbow-themed store (random merchandise in a variety of colors) in Harajuku made it better. :)

I was very conflicted after getting a regular coffee latte instead of chai (I hate coffee :( ) because the drawing was too cute to complain so I just sucked it up (pun not intended?). Oh, Japan.

Last weekend, I finally got to see the entire girl group again! We went to the Alice in Wonderland Cafe in Shibuya, and it was absolutely adorable! The center of the restaurant looked like a carousel, while the walls and rest of the decor were obviously influenced by the classic children's tale. Unfortunately, we got there very close to closing for the afternoon (Last order is at 3:30, and then they open again at 5 for dinner!), so we couldn't stay long. But the food was good, and to my surprise, it was reasonably priced! I got pasta (of course) made to look like the Cheshire Cat, as well as a shirley temple. The waitresses were dressed in Alice costumes--I had to ask for a picture~ :3 I wish we had spent more time at the cafe, but I'm glad we went!

Last night, Lighla and I went to SEGA Joypolis in Odaiba. Joypolis is an indoor arcade/amusement park with 3 floors of rides, games, and cafes. It was incredibly crowded when we went, so the lines for major rides often exceeded 100 minutes, but it was a good experience overall!! Right now, Joypolis has an Attack on Titan theme going on, which was pretty cool. Some games and rides had an AoT theme (such as Halfpipe, which blasted the theme song and showed the intro video during the ride), and pictures of the characters were everywhere. We decided to go at 4pm to get the cheaper Night Pass, which lets you on all rides. If you don't get a pass, you have to pay for each ride individually. Since we are foreigners we also got a 300 yen discount, so the Night Pass came to a respectable 2,900 yen. Though, to be honest, it was so crowded that I'm not sure we even got our money back for the pass. The Psycho-Pass shooting game was one of my favorites--it was similar to laser tag but your team is up against moving targets instead of other players. I really enjoyed the Fortune Forest, which you walk through with a "crystal" to find a past rune, present rune, and future rune to get a piece of paper with your fortune at the end. My favorite part was the cosplay photoshoot that Lighla and I did at the end. For 1,000 yen each, we got a CD with 10 pictures and 2 printouts of us in Attack on Titan costumes. Once I upload those, I will be sure to show you! ;)
