I have not been to Starbucks recently although I used to visit regularly. Starbucks seems to have noticed and they have emailed me to try to get me to visit them again.

A common misconception among many smaller businesses is that marketing is all about growing sales. However, marketing is diverse and a big part of good marketing is about loyalty and full lifecycle marketing and delighting existing customers.

As someone who has worked on apps and CRM systems throughout the years, I understood immediately that my data is being fed into their email/CRM system and they have an automated email being sent to customers who have not registered a spend in a certain number of days.

Will this definitely get me back? No. But it does raise brand recall and drop the customer a carrot to revisit at the right moment.

Personalisation is advanced marketing. Personalisation of everything from dynamic ads to messages from the business at the right moment and frequency increases relevance and engagement.

Apparently, I have read that Starbucks has an average Customer Lifetime Value of $14k, which seems to be amazing for an FnB business and is likely higher than even hotels.

So yes, while a good marketer and business executive needs to acquire new customers at an acceptable CAC, the best marketers and executives should also understand the loyalty part of the business and they are all closely tied to and synergistic to the competitiveness of the product/service itself.

In other words, marketing and sales does not exist in a vacuum and we are not miracle workers who can sell very lousy products and services.

Retadora ¿eh?, a lo que entendí es "algo" tipo característica, cualidad tuya (o no se cómo llamarlo) que es esencial en tí, o bueno así lo entendió mi mente; por que investigando dice que no depende de factores externos como la riqueza, estatus social, exito profesional, talento o opinión de los demás, o sea que por el simple hecho de tú o yo existir tenemos un valor intrínsecos, fuertes declaraciones, dirás tú. Opino lo mismo, jajaja. Lo siento complicado de describir con palabras, ya que tengo que explicar (usando su definición literal) lo esencial o propio de uno mismo y creo que eso no es algo fácil, o al menos no para mí. Filosofemos, imagínatelo como describir el por que amas a alguien, es difícil, por que simplemente es algo natural que nace de ti, hacia esa persona. Solamente la amas y y. Por ejemplo sería como si nos preguntamos por qué el fuego quema o porque el agua moja, sencillamente es así y ya. Así que para resumirlo en una frase sería algo así, "hay algo en tí que te hace tú mismo y por lo tanto ese valor intrínseco en ti te hace tú mismo", un poco confuso dirás tú, pero cuando lo entiendes, lo entiendes.
