Buddy is up! It's officially Christmas at my crib!
I'll just pretend I'm in San Francisco this morning.
We are going to have TWO Christmas trees this year! One down, one to go!
On the way out of Orlando, we stopped at Downtown Disney to eat lunch and pick up a few more souvenirs and treats. The treats here are just as awesome as the ones in Disney! The Mike Wazowski apple was my fav! All in all, an epic, phenomenal, fantastic trip! BEST EVEEERRRR! ❤️❤️❤️
Day 8 at Magic Kingdom- Last Day! We made the best of it by riding all 3 mountains again, eating lots more ice cream, had a delicious lunch at the Beast’s castle, met a ton of princesses, and picked up yummy treats for the peeps back home. Ended the day on Splash Mountain with an epic pic! 🤣
Day 7 at Epcot- Probably my favorite day of the trip! We rode Test Track and Soarin’ two times, but we also spent a lot of time in the World Showcase where we rode the new frozen ride in Norway, saw lots of shows (including my favorite Voices of Liberty), and ate lots of snacks in the countries. It was Flower and Garden Festival so there were special snack kiosks in all the countries and beautiful topiaries everywhere you looked. We ate dinner at Chefs de France. It was good but didn’t really do it for us after our Teppan Edo and O’Hana experiences. The girls did the Pick a Pearl ceremony in Japan and were thrilled with their pearls. Absolutely terrific day!
Day 6 at Magic Kingdom- We rode all the mountains- Splash, Space, and Big Thunder- plus Seven Dwarves Mine Train and a ton of other rides. Ice cream was the theme of the day- Peter Pan floats, Hei Hei cones, Dole Whips, churro ice cream sandwiches, and Mickey bars, oh my! Dinner was with the Beast at his castle, and it was terrific! The kids’ desert was a white chocolate Chip cup with edible paint. They all made little masterpieces! Back at the hotel, Mousekeeping had all our kawaii stuffed animals from Japan in Epcot ready for us to snuggle with at bedtime. ❤️❤️
Day 5 at Epcot- A cold front came through and it was chilly in the morning and evening, but it was a nice relief from the heat of the previous days. We had dinner at Teppan Edo (hibachi), and that was one of the best meals of trip! The chef was a a blast!
Day 4 at Animal Kingdom- we “only” did one day here, but it was GREAT! It was Mardi Gras day so we wore our custom Mardi Gras shirts that Melissa made for us. We got so many compliments! We rode Expedition Everest four times because the girls could not get enough of it. We rode for the last time at night, and we all agreed that it was a great night ride! We also had dinner at Tusker House and got to meet Mickey, Daisy, Donald, and Goofy at our table. We ended the night with the Rivers of Light show which was outstanding! Disney at its best! The absolute highlight of the day was riding the new Avatar ride in Pandora THREE times! That ride is INCREDIBLE! We all adored it and agreed it was the very, very best of Disney imagineering.
Day 3-back at Hollywood Studios! The new Toy Story Land is incredible! We rode the new Slinky Dog coaster twice which was fantastic! Dinner was at Sci-Fi Drive In, and the girls got their own car. Everybody loved Sci-Fi! The milk shakes were divine!
Day 2 at Magic Kingdom! What a great day! We ate our weight in popcorn and other snacks, met lots of characters and got in a ton of rides! We took the monorail to the Polynesian and had dinner at O’Hana. This was one of the best meals of the trip. Food was served family style and was all you could eat- noodles, dumplings, grilled shrimp, steak and chicken, and a delicious bananna bread pudding with coconut sauce for dessert! The kids loved the hot towels after the meal. So much so, that we asked our server for another round after dessert, and he happily obliged!
Day 1 at Hollywood Studios! All the kids went through Jedi training. They had a blast. My niece LK was super into it. They got pins saying “Trained Jedi,” and everywhere we went the cast members would say, “Hello, young Jedi!” to her. She loved it! That’s her with her brand new light saber- same color as Rey’s, of course!
WDW Trip 2019!
Just got back from an epic 8 day trip to Disney World! It was me, my brother @thenolabro and his two girls, and his wife’s best friend’s family. (My brother is a widower. His wife died of metastatic breast cancer in August of 2016, in case you’re wondering why she wasn’t on the trip with us.) I’m about to bombard this blog with photos from our FANTASTIC, BEST TRIP EVEEERRRR so my best friend can see all of them. It was AMAZEBALLZ!
Your Cajun funny for the day!
I’m amusing myself this morning. The Hubs is gone for the weekend, so it’s just me and Alexa. The niece and nephews are spending the night, so I need a good stock of corny jokes for them since the Hubs isn’t here with his.
