“Or you just like seeing my half-naked body.” Carson said, teasing Calder as he followed his best friend. “I guess there’s no use holding myself back on the sweets right now, huh? Do you have Snickers?”

“ Oh, yeah probably that too.” He laughed. “ Probably not, cause either way I’m going to be working you harder next time. And of course I do.” Calder grinned over his shoulder before going over to his bunk and laying on his stomach. With easy fingers, he was able to pry a floor broad free and grabbing a bag before sitting back on his heels. “ Bella and Mallory don’t even know about this.” He stated as he tossed the bag on his bed and stood. “ So it will be our secret.”

“What’s the point of you busting my ass then?” Carson exclaimed, laughing. “I don’t mind though. Let’s fucking eat.”

“ Because I like watching you work” He stated simply. With a sound of agreement, Calder lead them to the Poseidon cabin. “ So there’s this kid in Hephaestus that’s seriously obsessed with candy, so a lot of it is from him. Ad then here and there for trades I got some chips and what not.”

“Alright, Mr. Smarty-pants.” Carson said, rolling his eyes fondly as he looked at Calder before nodding. “Sounds good.”

Calder grinned and stuck his tongue out slightly. “ It’s mostly junk food that I have... Probably a little counter productive since we just worked out but honestly its not my fault.”

“Seriously though. I’m tired.” Carson said, laughing as he landed on the ground, flying most of the time they spent training. He grabbed his shirt and wore it but didn’t bother buttoning it up. “What did you want to do after?”

Calder wiped sweat from his brow, chuckling. “ Yeah, well training is suppose to do that to a person.” He stretched for a moment before  answering, “ Well, I’m hungry so snacks? In my cabin?”

Myka had been feeling a little funny.  The world around her started spinning.  Her giggles were uncontrollable–even before she fell backwards, landing on her bum which made her giggle even more.  “I…think….I someone did the punch…” she slurred, giggling once again.

Calder frowned slightly and reached down, carefully taking her cup and sniffing it. “Oh. Damnit.” He muttered to himself. Calder emptied the cup before filling it with water before. “ Drink this.” He told her softly, holding the cup out for her.

Calder held Carson close, giving him a slight squeeze. “ I’m glad you are too.” He muttered. “ Are you busy with anything right now?”

Carson shook his head. “I’ve found everyone that I’ve been looking for so no, I’m not busy.”

"Good" Calder smiled, looking down at the ground for a moment. "Do you want to hang out?" He asked, suddenly shy of his best friend.

“Well, that’s true.” Carson paused as he pulled his best friend properly into a hug. “I’m glad you’re safe.”

Calder held Carson close, giving him a slight squeeze. “ I’m glad you are too.” He muttered. “ Are you busy with anything right now?”

“And it took us a war to realize it.” Carson shook his head before laughing. “We’re both idiots.”

“Could have been worst, could have never realized it at all.” He stated. “ Also when have we ever been smart?”

“I’ve wanted to do that a long time.” Carson admitted. “I could’ve lost you and I don’t think I can bare the thought of it.”

Calder’s lips twitched into a grin. “ I’m glad you did it actually cause I’ve been thinking the same thing..”

Carson sighed in relief once he checked that his siblings were back. He was looking around for more of his friends until his name was called out. Looking up, a grin appeared on his face when he realized it was Calder. Not even thinking, he pulled his best friend for a kiss.

Calder froze for only a moment before returning the kiss. After a moment Calder pulled away, a smirk on his lips. “ What the hell was that for?”

Two wars and he’s made it through both of them. Both of them seemed to seep into him and nest there but when he noticed his best friend standing a little ways away he couldn’t help feel the weight of what happen lift. “ Carson!” He called out before jogging over to him. “ Shit, I couldn’t find you.” @carsonlaurens

Mallory was walking around, looking for anyone that looked like they needed help. “Hey…” She said to someone with their back turned.

Calder sat with his back to his little sister as he tried to straighten out a couple of his dislocated fingers once he put them back in place with a small wince he looked over his shoulder with a smile. “ Hey, Mallory. You okay?”

“For a moment I thought you were going to tell me you didn’t recognize me with the way you were staring at me.” Carson joked, nudging Calder. “Yeah? You really like it?”

“ I was definitely tempted” He stated honestly. Calder nodded. “ I would tell you if it looks bad, that’s what best friends are for.”

“What?” Carson ran a hand through his now short hair, feeling slightly self-conscious. His normally long hair was now cut short though there were still a few curls that bounced around when he tugged on them. “Do you have anything to tell me or are you going to just stare?”

Calder shook his head as he continued to look at Carson. “ You look good.”

“I uh…sort of forgot his name. Froyo or something like that,” Ewan said softly and shook his head “I don’t know there was a big display and something, and I had to fight my biggest fear…which wasn’t that bad….” Ewan shyly took one of the strawberries and nibbled on it “This is really good….I don’t think we have a lot of fresh strawberries back in Scotland….” He smiled “I would really like that. I’m Ewan, by the way”

“ Huh..” He said as he tried to figure out who could possibly be even close to Froyo. It wasn’t until the other brought up fear. “ Oh! Phobos or Deimos is your best bet both run on fear. But if you had to fight your fear than it was Phobos.” He explained. “ Well strawberries are what we’re known for. And really? I found that there’s plenty of places there.” He stated, smiling. “ I’m Calder, a son of Poseidon.”

“Trust me, you’re really not.” Carson countered. “I don’t see why you have to apologize for turning me down… I mean, would it have made a difference if I asked you out now? Is that it?”

Calder bumped his shoulder into Carson’s, knowing that Carson was right. “ No,” He told him, shaking his head. “ That wouldn’t be fair to you or this new guy you like but I mean, if I was more comfortable when I was younger I think it would have been a different story. You’re a great friend, so in theory I think you’d be a great boyfriend.” He rambled, his face turning slightly pink. “ I don’t know what I’m saying.”
