Pharmacy Run || Caleb&Callie
"Always glad to help." Callie smiled in return. The view from outside looked terrifying to the brunette. She’s always been a fan of light. It’s not like she was afraid to stay in a dim-lit room, but that was enough to get her paranoid. There’s something mysterious she thought whenever she’d be walking at night, but at the same time, it could turn into something dangerous or creepy. Back in Idaho, Callie would usually be spending her day outside and retreating home when she sun had set. Luckily she wouldn’t be going out there alone, even better with the company of a guy. She looked up at the sky, where the moon seemed to be hiding through the dark clouds. She caught her breath and continued walking down the sidewalk.
"Gathered about me?" She turned her head to his direction. "I uhm.. There’s not much that’s interesting about me." She sighed. It’s not like she was charismatic enough to keep a conversation going. Callie’s been a wallflower and right now she wasn’t sure what to say to please her fellow resident. She had a wide set of vocabulary since she reads a lot of books. But the girl didn’t have a lot of experiences. Her high school life was about going to school then going straight home, or if not, helping her family manage their farm. "It’s about this small town.. who gets phone calls from the afterlife. Then it’s up to the people to believe whether it’s all true or not. I haven’t finished it yet, but I could always tell you what happens when I do.. or I could lend this book to you." She offered with a sweet smile. "Oh, come on.. There has to be something to talk about… What’s it like back at home?"
Shooting the small girl a small grin before turning his head back out in front of him, his hands still deep in his pockets. Caleb wasn't all that worried about going out in the dark, it all seemed somewhat welcoming to him. The cold air surrounding them only made it slightly better for him. He was always a fan of the cold weather as opposed to the warm weather he was constantly greeted by back at him in Palm Bay. He would usually go out when he felt like it, not that his parents really minded. They never really had a say in what he was doing at the time, not that it bothered them to begin with. Clearing his throat when he heard a lack of breathing coming from his left before he turned his head to glance down at Callie who quickly looked down from peering up at the sky. Raising a brow, "You really don't like being out at night, huh?" The words fell loosely from his lips.
Nodding his head before shrugging slightly, "Yeah, from what you've told me..I kind of pieced some things together. Not much because not much was given to me." He teased her at the end before a throaty chuckle emanated from his lips. "C'mon, there's gotta be something..um, how about we start off easy?" He raised a brow at her with a friendly grin, "What's your favorite color?" The tall boy could sense that she really felt as if there was nothing interesting to tell about herself, but he was determined to make her think differently. "So, you're into fictional books?" He thought out loud to himself, "Cool." He nodded his head as he pursed his lips, seeing the pharmacy coming into view. "I'll leave that up to you. If it's good enough for me to read, hand that bad boy over." He chuckled, slipping his hands out of his pockets and rubbing them together before bringing them to his mouth before cupping them around and blowing slightly. "Home? It's pretty hot which is something I don't miss. Home.." He trailed off as he thought about what he would say, "It's okay. I spent most of my time outside of the house, didn't really stay there much." He shrugged.
