“These photos were taken one year apart. I had always been a fat guy and my friend had always been a jock, but very soon after the 4th photo was taken, my friend wrapped his arms around my belly and said, “Man, I wish I could have that gut.” I thought he was joking and laughed it off, but he said, “No, I’m serious, if you help me gain weight, I’ll help you get in shape.” We started college and roomed together, and sure enough, he followed his plan. He gave me workouts to do in our fraternity’s gym while he watched, giving me instructions and logging out on pizza, burgers, etc. His six pack had faded by Halloween and instead of letting me eat candy he “ate for the both us,” consuming 10 assorted king size candy bars as he downed two six-packs of beer. By Christmas, he could barely fit into his old clothes, taking his and my full strength to pull his jeans around his waist. He laughed the whole time, and when he saw the 6th picture in the black jacket, he burped loudly, squeezed his tummy, and took his shirt off.
Though his tight clothes were funny for the two of us, his parents made him promise to by better fitting ones. We went to the store, and he had gone up from size 32 to size 36, and I had gone down from size 40 to size 36. We were both ecstatic, and to celebrate, I had a protein shake and he had a shake with an entire jar of peanut butter with vegetable oil and corn syrup. He was bloated all night and made me massage his belly to make him feel better. Over the next few months, I plateaued at a steady skinny-fat physique, but I continued to workout while he pigged out and watched me. On our frat’s beach trip (8th photo of us shirtless) after finals, all the guys were on the floor laughing the whole trip at my friend’s new weight. The guy on the left grabbed my butt while taking this picture and said “looks like you gave about 40 pounds to Will this year.” Will slapped his own stomach and said “try 50! I’m just glad I’ve got some tits to play with now”
We are back in our hometown for summer now and almost every night we either make an extremely fattening meal for Will or just go eat giant meals at restaurants. We have basically switched wardrobes, as Will can squeeze into my old 40’s now. He used to be our school’s QB and I was a lineman, so we wore old jerseys to a restaurant we used to frequent, and the owner was shocked to see us. He said “Whoa now Will! Is our former qb looking to play some o-line in college?” Will laughed it off, pushed his hair to the side like old high school pretty boys do, and said “Well I certainly like eating like one!” We sat at our old booth and instead of ordering the grilled cheese like he used to, he ordered the “fatboy special” with a massive burger, chili cheese fries, hash browns, two biscuits (extra buttery), and a large chocolate shake. He finished it in 20 minutes before I had even finished my single sandwich. I dared him to order another one, so he unbuttoned his jeans, lifted up his shirt to sit on his belly, and did just that. It took him longer to finish, but he did, and as a reward, the owner gave him a full cheesecake to take home. We went back to my place and sat on the couch in just our gym shorts watching movies while he ate the whole cake. Before we went to bed, we calculated that he had eaten somewhere betweeen 6500-8000 calories for dinner alone. He said he wanted to sleep in my bed even though there were plenty of empty rooms, and I was confused but excited. Already shirtless, he took his shorts off revealing compression shorts from his football days. He hopped into bed and spooned me all night. I was confused until I realized it was probably the six beers he drank while I was in the shower. People around town keep talking about how the old quarterback Will gained the freshman 15 and then some. Everyone in our frat calls him Wide Will now, and he loves it.” (Submission)
