New Japanese Painting Supply Store is Encased With 4,200 Different Pigments

Tokyo-based painting supply store called Pigment recently opened its doors in November 2015. Designed by architect Kengo Kuma, the space uses bamboo and large open spaces to create a union between the outdoors and the creative process.

I saw this show at the Chicago Cultural Center, and Motley is an amazing painter who developed an electric vision of his age. Portraits of his family are charged, touching, and real.
