This Keto Miso Butter Scallop recipe offers a delightful fusion of savory miso and rich butter flavors, perfectly complementing the tender sweetness of scallops. It's a simple yet elegant dish suitable for a keto-friendly diet.
Ingredients: 12 large scallops. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened. 2 tablespoons white miso paste. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Set the broiler to high heat. Softened butter and white miso paste should be mixed together well in a small bowl. Use paper towels to dry the scallops, and then sprinkle them with a little salt and pepper. In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Just a minute or two on each side will turn the scallops golden brown. Place scallops in a dish that can go under the broiler. Put the miso butter mix on top of every scallop. Broil the miso butter for two to three minutes, or until it starts to bubble and turn golden brown. Put some chopped parsley on top before serving.

A delightful and aromatic pear butter with the sweetness of honey and a hint of ginger and spices. Perfect for spreading on breakfast treats or using as a flavorful topping.
Ingredients: 5 lbs ripe pears, peeled, cored, and chopped. 1 cup honey. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup fresh ginger, grated. 1/4 cup lemon juice. 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon. 1/4 tsp ground cloves.
Instructions: Place the chopped pears in a large pot over medium heat. Add honey, granulated sugar, and grated ginger to the pot. Stir well to combine. Cook the mixture for about 10 minutes until the pears start to soften, stirring occasionally. Add lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves to the pot. Stir again. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally until it thickens and turns into a butter-like consistency. Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly. Use an immersion blender or food processor to puree the mixture until smooth. Pour the pear butter into sterilized jars and seal them. Process the sealed jars in a hot water bath for 10 minutes to ensure proper preservation. Allow the jars to cool before storing in a cool, dark place. Enjoy your homemade Honey Ginger Pear Butter on toast, biscuits, or as a delicious condiment!

How healthy is Lurpak as a spread?
Lurpak is a popular brand of butter and butter-based spreads. Like any other butter or spread, the healthiness of Lurpak depends on various factors, including its ingredients, nutritional content, and your personal dietary needs.
Lurpak is made from natural ingredients and does not contain any artificial additives or preservatives. It is primarily composed of cream and salt, which are used in the production of butter. However, it's important to note that Lurpak also contains a high amount of saturated fat, which is a type of fat that can contribute to an increased risk of heart disease if consumed in excess.
While saturated fat is not necessarily harmful in moderation, it is generally recommended to limit its intake as part of a balanced diet. Health organizations often advise opting for healthier alternatives to saturated fats, such as unsaturated fats found in vegetable oils, nuts, and seeds.
If you are concerned about your overall health or have specific dietary needs, it is recommended to consult with a healthcare professional or a registered dietitian. They can provide personalized guidance based on your individual circumstances and help you make informed choices about your diet, including whether Lurpak or an alternative spread is suitable for you.
