hello to anyone reading! it’s been a while since i’ve logged into this account, hasn’t it? i hope you’re all doing okay and sorry to appear of out nowhere like this, but after today’s news i need a place to vent.

waking up to the letter that mark posted on his ig quite literally made my jaw drop. i had to check every source i could find and read the post again for it to hit me, but alas… it finally did. if someone had told me this news a few days prior i would have NEVER believed them. mark is one of the members that immediately comes to mind when you think of the name “NCT,” and the fact he won’t be a part of any of that anymore is still difficult for me to wrap my head around.

despite my initial reaction, i’m glad that he decided to put himself first. it’s been a running joke between nctzens about how mark is in every unit all at once, but a lot of us overlooked the toll that could take on a person. not to mention, he’s been bouncing between groups for years now. nct member/idol or not, i adore the person that he is and i’m incredibly proud of him and his decision. thank you for everything mark lee. ncity will remember you fondly. 💚

random dream vs dream yap after watching the new videos

jaemin vs jisung:

jisung getting the answer correct after he spent 75% of the video stressing about whether or not his mark impersonation was succeeding was truly a heartening moment. jaemin is a troll to his core, and that’s why we love him. he formulated a strategy, suspected jisung the entire time, yet somehow concluded that mark was the person he was chatting with which took me OUT. please never change, jaemin.

haechan vs mark:

watching these two together is always a joy. haechan and his (endearingly!) horrible instincts struggling while mark managed to identify him immediately was so funny to watch play out. mark being full of laughter the entire time perfectly embodied how the video felt, silly and entertaining. with the way things were going i was not expecting haechan to know it was mark, but they managed to get it in the end!

renjun vs jeno:

renjun came into the video full of confidence and ready to redeem himself, only to get caught immediately and his have instincts fail him big time. his love for jisung is so cute and of course jeno made sure to capitalize on it so he didn’t get figured out. poor renjun suspected everyone BUT jeno. these two also had the funniest moment of reveal, i will never forget renjun’s priceless expression.

chenle vs jisung:

hands down my favorite video. they were both trying so hard to troll each other and the automated voice bit that chenle initiated was hilarious. poor jisung was doing so well pretending to be jaemin until the latter walked straight past chenle’s car and spoiler his entire plan. the cat and mouse was still funny to see and i loved this video. would chenle have figured out jisung if jaemin didn’t pass by? the world will never know.
