These people are so determined to cling to their own narrative that they can’t accept what the show has actually given us. You’ve consistently been one of the most accurate screeners, and this blog seems frustrated because so many of its theories rarely come to fruition. Despite that, people still treat their every word as fact, especially when it comes to insisting Lestat is completely blameless while dismissing not only what’s on screen but even what Sam himself has said. They’re so committed to proving Lestat can do no wrong that they constantly misrepresent or take your words out of context.
Things you were correct about that this blog denied:
1. Louis and Lemuel’s photo being a screensaver. Confirmed in Episodes 3 and 6.
2. Lestat was sexually involved with Armand while he was with Nicki, and the show has never established that those encounters were nonconsensual. This is supported throughout Episodes 3, 4, 5, and 6, as well as the After Dark episode.
3. Antoinette is absolutely treated as cheating, no matter how much that blog wants to argue otherwise. Louis explicitly acknowledges that she came between them and is clearly seeking an explanation for why Lestat did it because it deeply hurt him. You also never claimed Lestat apologized for Antoinette (which isn’t the flex they seem to think it is, by the way 😂). You said he had become more "self-aware", and that’s exactly what the show portrayed.
4. You never said the song wasn’t called Brutal Love. What you actually said was that Lestat wasn’t calling Louis “brutal” derogatorily and wasn’t using “brutal” literally in the context of describing Louis' love.
5. Lestat absolutely has an undercurrent of jealousy regarding Lemuel. Otherwise, why ask if they’re fucking out of nowhere? Why would that matter to him if he didn't care? He also masks that jealousy with playful banter in Episode 6. Why else would he immediately question Louis when he says, “You too?” and respond with, “You miss him too? You love him too?” This is the same blog that insisted Lestat never showed jealousy throughout the duration of the show (according to them "I heard your heart dancing" only refers to Lestat's concerns with Louis's feeding 🙄 ) and also according to them, Louis was always the most jealous and possessive one. Meanwhile, Lestat is visibly glaring at the women interacting with Louis as they walk down the street, and we’ve even seen him become jealous over Gabriella several times. At some point they’ll have to acknowledge that Lestat is, in fact, a jealous. And that's okay!
Being honest and realistic about Lestat doesn’t make someone a liar or a Lestat hater. It just means they’re paying attention to what’s actually on screen. 😂 keep doing you and thank you for your service and honesty 🫡
