“You’re okay” she nodded trying to pry the bats off of him, well Nancy, Robin and Eddie were she was trying to get the vine off of his neck “you’re gonna be okay bab—.” She caught herself before she could finish her words.

Finally, after what felt like ages Steve was free and bleeding from his stomach “Jesus” Lexi frowned “you think they carry rabies?” Robin spoke making the group furrow their brows before looking over at her “what?” Steve asked

“It’s just rabies is my number one fear because by the time symptoms set in you can’t do anything you’re already dead” Robin explained “I just think we should get you checked out by a doctor sooner rather than later is all I’m saying—.”

“Oh really ‘cause I was thinking we shoulder stick around here a little longer, see the sights” Steve shrugged looking around “yeah well— we may not have a choice in that matter, they seem to be uh— blocking the door” the group followed eddies line of sight seeing six demobats guarding the door.

The group had decided to take cover in the forest hiding behind skull rock, Steve had slumped over on a rock “what’s wrong?” She rushed to his side “I’m fine—.”

“No you’re not fine, you’re loosing blood” she said ripping a part of her shirt off to tie around Steve’s waist “thanks” he said to her she gave a small smile.

“So this place is just like Hawkins, except, with monsters and nasty shit?” Eddie furrowed his brows “basically” Lexi nodded “but watch out for the vines, hive mind.”

“What?” He looked over at Lexi “all the creepy crawlers here are like one, or something step on a vine you’re stepping on a bat— or vecna” Steve shrugged.

Before anyone else could speak the ground started shaking she grabbed onto the closet thing to her, and knowing her luck, it was Steve, who grabbed onto her back.

“For your modesty” Eddie threw Steve a jacket as they started walking again.

She walked infront of Steve and Eddie “hey, I uh, I just wanted to say thanks, for y’know saving my ass like that” Steve patted eddies back “shit, you saved your own ass man, I mean that was a real ozzy move you pulled back there—.”

“Ozzy?” Steve furrowed his brows “when you took a bite outta that bat” Eddie furrowed his brows as Steve stared confused “ozzy Osborne. Black sabbath?” Steve was still confused “doesn’t matter, it was very metal, what you did, all I’m saying. Henderson told me you were a badass insisted on it matter of fact, I just didn’t believe him”

“Dustin called me a badass?” Steve felt a small smile appear on his face “I don’t know why I even care what that little shrimp thinks, but I actually got like, a little jealous about it, just couldn’t accept that Steve Harrington was actually a good done, rich parents, popular, girls love ‘em, I’m still super jealous by the way, which is why I’d never have jumped in that lake to save your ass, not under any normal circumstance— truth is, I came in here cause-.” He pointed at Lexi

“That lovely lady right there — jumped in straight after your ass, didn’t even take a second glance back at us, no hesitation in her eyes, just went straight in.” Eddie shook his head “I don’t know what happened between you two, but I’d get her back, man” Eddie said “whatever it takes, ‘cause that — that was as unambiguous a sign of true love as these cynical eyes have ever seen” Steve’s mouth fell open going to respond but the ground started to shake again

They ushered into the wheelers house Nancy had mentioned having guns in her bedroom which was shocking to them all “what’s that?” Lexi furrowed her brows seeing the shimmering over the light, her hand going up to touch it.

Steve raises it hand to touch it “kinda feels good” Robin muttered “anyone know morse code?” Nancy asked Lexi shook her head as Robin and Steve followed “does S.O.S count” Eddie looked at Nancy, Eddie moved his hand in and out of the shimmer.

The group now in Nancy’s bedroom seeing the shimmer now above Nancy’s bed, kneeling beside it, Lexi put her hand out feeling the shimmer — tracing out ‘hi’.

She glanced between the group before tracing ‘stuck’ Dustin’s voice echoed “can’t get back through watergate —.”

“Watergate?” Steve furrowed his brows “cause the gates in water” Robin nodded Lexi wrote ‘Guarded’ “we have a theory that maybe we could help with that. We think the watergate isn’t the only gate — that there’s a gate at every murder site—-.”

The teens look at each other confused “does anyone know what he’s talking about” Nancy asked Lexi drew a question mark when the teens shook their heads.

“How far is your trailer?” Lexi asked Eddie “I dunno— seven miles, give or take—.” Robin cut him off “Nancy — I get your house in here is Like, weirdly, creepily frozen in time and shit, but you’ve always had bikes right?”

Then the group were riding bikes towards the trailer parks, they entered eddies trailer a red glow shines brightly in their faces “there were Chrissy died” Eddie pointed up at the gaping hole in the ceiling “somethings in there” Lexi muttered Steve stood infront of her slightly but a hand appeared pulling the gross sticky stuff apart.

“This is crazy” Lexi stepped forward seeing Dustin right side up “okay not quite sure how these physics are gonna work but here goes nothing” Dustin said as the rope was passed through the hole, Lexi pulled on it sending a thumbs up “all good”

Robin went first landing firmly on the mattress “that was fun!” Lexi went next feeling hands on her waist — she didn’t complain— it was Steve anyway, she pulled herself up “holy shit” Lexi laughed getting up from the mattress.

“What’s going on?” The group looked up at the hole Nancy seemed to be in some sort of trance.

“Dustin can you hear me?” Eddies voice came over the radio “are you okay man?” Dustin ushered to answer “pretty goddam far from okay” Eddie grumbled “where are you?” Dustin asked “skull rock do you know it?”

“Uh, yeah” Dustin nodded “that’s near Cornwallis.. and Garrett yeah I know where that is” Dustin nodded “hold tight, we’re coming, we’re coming”

“I’m telling you, you’re taking us the wrong way” Steve said as they followed behind “it’s north I’m positive” Dustin muttered “I checked the map.”

“You do realize skull rock is, like, a super popular make out spot” Steve muttered “yeah, so?”

“Yeah well, it was t popular until I made it popular” Steve said “i practically invented it” he shrugged “Steve literally no one gives a shit” Lexi said walking ahead as she led them to the rock — yes she had been multiple times.

“See Henderson!” Steve said pointing at the rock “in your face man, in your stupid little cocky face.” Steve cheered “doesn’t make sense” Dustin muttered “yeah. Yeah even with it staring in your face you can’t admit it, can’t admit you’re wrong, you butt head.”

“I concur” Eddie came from behind the rock “you, Dustin Henderson, are a total butthead.” Eddie agreed with Steve “when I got to shore, I tried calling you guys. My uh, my walkie was busted” Eddie sighed “do you know what time this was?”

“The attack, 9.27?” Eddie muttered “same time our flashlights went kablooey” Steve nodded “that, surge of energy was vecna attacking Patrick” Robin said “well, we’re one step closer” she shrugged “we know how he attacks, where he attacks from” she spoke gaining a nod from the group.

“So now we just need to sneak into his lair in the upside down and drive a stake through his heart” Steve said “a bullet would probably be better” she narrowed her eyes “what would also be great, is if Elle would get her powers back.” Lexi said.

“I was right” Dustin piped up “skull rock is north!” He said “seriously? You’re serious?”steve crossed his arms over his chest “this worked correctly when we left the wheelers” Dustin showed the compass glitching out “correct when we got in the car on curly.”

“But it started to slip the further east we went? Now it’s way off” he explained “when I was leading us here, I wasn’t wrong, the compass was”

“So you’re still using faulty equipment” Steve shrugged “you’re still wrong” Dustin shook his head “except it isn’t fault, Lucas? Remeber what can affect a compass?” He turned to Lucas “an electromagnetic field” Lucas said “yep”

“In the presence of a stronger electromagnetic field, the needle will deflect towards that power” Lexi nodded “so either there’s some super big magnet around here or a gate?” She raised her brows Dustin nodded “but were nowhere near the lab?” Nancy furrowed her brows.

“But what if, somehow there’s another gate?” Dustin added “a gate that we don’t know about” Lexi agreed “It’d have to smaller, way less powerful”

Dustin had rushed off making everyone else follow him they pushed through bushes and trees Eddie had came up beside her “so Dustin’s sister.. huh?” He placed his hands in his pockets “yep” she nodded “and harrington’s ex?” He raised his brows “why are you talking to me?” She looked over at him

“I’m just wondering how that butthead is related to you” Eddie muttered “and how the meathead fumbled you aswell” Eddie shrugged before walking ahead, she looked back and saw Steve watching his brows raised as she turned her head.

They soon approached a lake, “lovers lake” Robin muttered “this is confounding” Dustin sighed “there’s a gate in lovers lake?” Max furrowed her brows “whenever the demogorgon attacked, it always left an opening”

“Only one way to find out” Lexi shrugged as she walked onto the boat — Steve, well tried to help holding onto her arm as she didn’t take his hand that was offered out, Robin, Nancy and Eddie got on after, dustin also decided to try and get on.

“Whoa, you trying to sink us?” Steve pushed him back a little “this thing hold four people, tops, okay?” Steve said “you guys stay here with max” Lexi spoke “keep an eye out for trouble.”

Steve hopped into the boat as it took off planting himself right next to Lexi “you said four!” Dustin scoffed “sorry!” He subtly pointed over his shoulder at Lexi.

The compass was indeed going wonky she glanced up seeing Steve stripping “Steve what are you doing?” Robin asked lexis eyes stayed on him as he took his shirt off “somebody’s gotta go down and check this out” he shrugged “unless one of you for can too being a Hawkins high swim co-captain and a certified lifeguard for three years then—.”

“Eh— may I just remind you I was a lifeguard at the Hawkins community pool—.” Lexi stood up “yeah that was only for a summer Lex, then you got fired.” He shrugged she inhaled biting her tongue “fine be a hero” she sat back down

“Hey— I’m just trying to protect you—.” He noticed the others eyes on him before backtracking “I’m just trying to protect you guys” he said before diving down.

Although she had broken up with him she couldn’t deny the worry that went through her when he didn’t come up for a second, but when he did a breath of relief left her “I found it” he said resurfacing “Dustin you are a goddamn Einstein, Steve found the gate.” Robin spoke into the walkie, before Steve got dragged back down again by something.

“Holy shit” she panicked leaning over the boat to see — she immediately dove in after him “shit” she swam down, Nancy, Robin and Eddie soon came down after her, she was currently trying to pry the vains from Steve’s wrists and throat.

Steve drove them towards the creepy haunted looking house cause Nancy had said max seen it in her vision “this looks like a great place to raise kids” she looked around the place seeing the abandoned swings and boarded up windows.

“I see why they call it a murder house” she muttered to herself as she walked up the steps “and what exactly are we meant to be looking for?” Dustin asked “we’re not sure” Nancy muttered “we just know this house is important to vecna”

“And how are we meant to get in?” She furrowed her brows after trying the door Robin had bent down to grab a brick “found a key” she smiled the group stood back as she through the brick breaking the glass.

The group wandered in she grabbed a flashlight from Dustin’s bag “go” she heard Robin whisper to Steve as Lexi started walking upstairs, she heard familiar footsteps behind her, and Dustin’s loud ones.

She opened the bathroom door “you gotta follow me everywhere?” She turned around watching as Steve bent down to some sort of vent “just looking around” he played it off raising his hands before he opened the vent.

She had noticed a spider crawling on his arm “Steve—.” He stood up brushing the spider off of him while also walking through cobwebs, Lexi sighed before helping him pull the spider webs out of his hair “stop moving—.” She said “if there’s a spider in there, you’re never gonna find it till it lays eggs and the babies spill out” Robin teased.

“What’s wrong with you?” Steve scoffed “I know Robin, he’s gonna be scratching his head all night just thinking about it” she got the last spider web.

They all had hovered around a chandelier as it started flickering before the bulbs popped “it’s like the Christmas lights” Lexi muttered to herself “Christmas lights?” Robin furrowed her brows “yeah, when Will was in the upside down, the lights spoke to Mrs Byers”

“Vecna is here, just on the other side” she muttered as Steve’s flashlight turned on the group started walking upstairs “he’s so leading us to a trap” she muttered.

Max had eventually came out of her trance, making Steve, Lexi and Dustin let out a sigh of relief, Robin and Nancy soon showed up “it was here.” Max pointed to the end of a hallway “right here.” She said “it was so real”

“It was like she was in a trance or something” Dustin told the others “exactly what happened to Eddie and Chrissy” Lexi paced “that’s not even the bad part, Fred and Chrissy. The both came to Miss Kelley for help” max nodded “both having headaches, bad headaches that wouldn’t go away and then the nightmares” max explained

“They’d wake up, in a cold sweat, then they started seeing things” Lexi nodded along to Max’s words “bad things, from their past, the visions they, just, they just kept getting worse, till eventually…”

“Everything ended” Lexi finished for her “chrissy’s started a week ago, Fred’s 6 days, I’ve been having them for five days, I don’t know how long I have” Lexi sighed her arm rounding Max’s shoulders “all I know is that Chrissy and Fred died less than 24 hrs after their first vision”

“And I just saw that goddamn clock.. so looks like I’m gonna die tomorrow” max sighed nervously, a noise from down the hall could be heard Steve grabbed a random lamp walking down the hall “you’re not seriously gonna try defend us with a lamp” Lexi scoffed “shut up, lex” the footsteps got closer before Steve went to attack making everyone scream as it was just Lucas.

“It’s me! It’s Me!” Lucas raised his hands “Jesus what is wrong with you” Steve scoffed putting the lamp down Lucas panted “Dustin, I’ve been with Jason, Patrick and Andy, and they’re totally off the rails, they’re trying to capture Eddie, and they think you know where he is, you’re in terrible danger” Lucas caught his breath.

“They’re is bigger problems than Jason right now.”

She was sat on one of the arm chairs in Mike wheelers basement, max sat at a table in the corner while Steve, Dustin and Lucas where all sat on a couch, she was flipping through a magazine “okay, you guys understand any of this?” Steve asked the boys and her aswell, although she wasn’t paying much attention “so far, everyone that this vecna guy has cursed has died, except for this old victor creel dude Nancy found”

“He’s the only known survivor” Lexi placed the magazine down “if anyone knows how to beat this curse, it’s him” she shrugged “that’s assuming he was cursed, which we don’t even know” Dustin said “how can vecna have existed in the ‘50s?” Steve furrowed his brows

“Far as we know eleven didn’t create the upside down” Lexi said “she opened a gate to it, the upside down has probably been around for I dunno, thousand of years, millions.”

“I wouldn’t be surprised if it predated the dinosaurs” Dustin shrugged, the group looked over at max who’s back was to them “any idea on what’s she’s writing?” Dustin raised his brows “did she even sleep?” He whispered

“Would you?” She gave him a pointed look Nancy and Robin ran the basement basement stairs, “okay, so we have a plan” Robin spoke gaining everyone’s attention

“Thanks to Nancy’s minions, we are now rockstar psychology students at the university of notre dame” lexi’s brows raised “I’m not Ruth” Nancy smiled “and I’m rose” Robin grinned

“We called pennhurst asylum, told them we’d like to speak with creel for a thesis we’re cowriting on paranoid schizophrenics” Nancy explained “to which they said no” Robin said

“But we landed three o’clock with the director” Nancy smiled “now all we have to do is charm him and convince him to let us talk to victor.”

She followed the older teens upstairs “nance you’re out of your mind if you think I’m babysitting again” Steve groaned as Nancy dug through her closet “first, they’re not babies and more, and max is in real danger” Nancy shrugged “plus” Nancy glanced at Lexi who was fidgeting with something on her unit “you and Lexi have some working out to do don’t you?” Nancy said “so why are you complaining?” Steve gave up glancing back at Lexi.

Lexi went back to flipping through her magazine as Nancy and Robin left Steve, Lucas and Dustin were so obviously staring at max “can you guys stop?” She looked up from the magazine “I know you guys think your eyes boring into the back of my head is protecting me from vecna, but you guys can look at me now” max said she handed them each letters.

“Can you give these to Mike, Elle and Will?” She asked Lexi placing them down on the coffee table, stopping Dustin before he could open the letter further “that’s not for now, don’t open it.”

“Max, what is this?” Lexi furrowed her brows “it’s, uh, failsafe” she muttered “for after” that made Lexi frown “max” she sighed “I promise you, things will work out” she took her hand “I don’t need you to reassure me and tell me it’s all gonna work out, people have been telling me that my whole life? It’s almost never true.”

Max picked up the walkie “if we go to east Hawkins, will this reach pennhurst?” She asked before grabbing her back, Lexi and Steve glanced at each other, confused.

“Why are we talking about east Hawkins?” Steve said as max left the basement walking towards his car “seriously, no I’m not joking” Steve caught up to max “I’m not driving you anywhere.” Max turned to Lexi “lex—.”

“No don’t ask Lex” he shook his head standing inbetween the two “if you think I’m going to spend what is likely the last day of my life in the armpit that is Mike wheelers basement you’re out of your mind.” Max shook her head scoffing “either take me where I need to go or tie me down, which is technically kidnapping of a minor.”

“Henderson, that super walkie of yours better reach pennhurst” the group slid into the car

Steve started driving towards the trailer park, max quickly got out of the car, “that was longer than twenty seconds” Steve said as max came rushing back “you okay?” Lexi furrowed her brows “I’m fine just drive”

“Turn here” max said to Steve he turned revealing the graveyard, Lexi kept glancing at max throughout the whole time she was up talking to the gravestone, of who she assumed was Billy’s.

“All right it’s been long enough” Steve go to it the car “just give her sometime” lucas tried to get him to stop “I’m calling it, she wants to get a lawyer she can.” Steve started walking towards max.

And a couple minutes later Steve’s yelling could be heard making Lexi and the rest of them get out of the car rushing up to help, max seemed to be in the same trance she was in back at the high school.

“Max” she immediately got on her knees trying to shake her shoulders “c’mon you gotta get outta there!” Steve grabbed dustin’s jumper “go call Robin and Nancy” he ushered

“Max!” Lucas yelled “c’mon, please.” Dustin came rushing back up with Max’s Walkman and many cassettes, “what’s her favourite song?” Dustin threw the stuff down on the ground “what?” Lexi furrowed her brows “Robin said if she listens—- too much to explain right now.”

“What’s her favourite song?” The group shrugged as Lucas grabbed the Kate bush tape and slid it into the Walkman clicking play.

“Headphones” Lexi picked them up placing them on Max’s head “max” the group yelled “please! Wake up”

Max had started… floating? The groups eyes followed, confused they started yelling again “wake up! Max!”

“Max!” And the music had seemed to work as she immediately fell back down crawling into Lexi “it’s okay” she held her “we thought we lost you” Lucas said joining in on the hug “I’m still here” she said as Lexi rubbed her back.

Eddie had requested a food delivery from the group, she helped Dustin pick out the food as they wandered round the store “you still care about him, don’t you?.” Lexi’s brows furrowed as she looked at Dustin “what?” She placed the box of cereal in the cart.

“I seen you all worried when Eddie pinned him against the wall earlier” Lexi scoffed “Dustin — can you—.” She looked behind her Steve and Robin were arguing about something “can you shut up?”

“So you do?” He raised his brows “just shut up” she said looking back at the chips. the group walked towards the check out she took cash out her pocket noticing she was a little short Steve pushed past Dustin handing the cashier money “I got it” Steve gave Lexi a small smile.

She helped max put the groceries in the bag, walking back out towards Steve’s car they jumped in, Dustin obviously wanting to be shot gun “hey- woah let your sister—.” Lexi shook her head “I’m fine in the back” she slid in beside max and Robin, Dustin let out a snort which earned a smack to the arm from Steve.

The group ventured back to Eddie coming in with a delivery “so uh, we got some good news and bad news” Lexi muttered “how do you prefer it?”

“Bad news first, always” Eddie nodded “okay, so we tapped into Hawkins pd dispatch with our cerebro, and they’re definitely looking you. Also think that they’re pretty convinced you killed chrissy.” Dustin sighed

“And the good news?” Eddie raised his brows “your name hasn’t gone public yet” Robin nodded “but if we found out about you, it’s a matter of time before others do too” Lexi nodded “look, I know everything that Dustin has been saying is kinda hard to believe” she crouched beside him “but we’ve actually been through the before, multiple times actually”

“We usually rely on this girl with super powers” Robin added “but those went bye-bye”

“So we’re just in the brainstorming phase, right now” Lexi stood back up.

The group had ended up back at the trailer park sitting on a bench with Nancy, Steve had obviously chosen to sit next to Lexi nonchalantly of course. “Our working theory is that he attacks with a spell, or a curse.” Lexi nodded “now whether or not he’s doing the bidding of the mind flayer or just loves killing teenagers”

“It doesn’t make sense” Nancy hummed “it’s only a theory” Steve shrugged “no, Fred and chrissy doesn’t make sense.” Nancy shook her head “I mean, maybe they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time” Steve shrugged “they were both at the game, and near the trailer park.” Lexi muttered the group looked around eerily as wind whistled.

“Uh, should we maybe not be here?” Robin muttered “there’s something about this place” she shook her head “Fred started acting weird as soon as we got here” Nancy sighed.

“What do you mean, weird?” She furrowed her brows “scared, on edge, upset” Nancy listed “max you said chrissy was upset too didn’t you?” Lexi looked at the girl as she nodded “yeah but not here, at school.”

“Serial killers stalk their pray before they strike, right?” Dustin looked at the group “so maybe, Fred and Chrissy seen this vecman” Steve nodddd agreeing with Dustin “vecna” Dustin corrected as the group stood up making their way back to Steve’s car.

Lexi started rushing off aiming for the library that was a bit of a walk away but, she was not about to ask Steve to drive her “whoa, whoa, whoa— Lex where you going?” Steve furrowed his brows “there’s something I wanna check” she shrugged “something you wanna share with us?” He furrowed his brows.

“I don’t wanna waste any of your time, it’s a real shot in the dark” Lexi said nodding “yeah, okay are you out of your mind?” Steve scoffed “flying solo with vecna on the loose? It’s too dangerous.” He chucked his keys at Robin walking towards Lexi making her sigh “I’ll stick with lex.”

“I don’t think you want me driving your car” Robin raised her brows “why?” Steve furrowed his brows “she doesn’t have a licence” Lexi spoke for her “it’s okay— I’ll go Lexi, I think I have an idea what you’re going for.” Nancy said “yeah— you guys just make sure the kids are okay” Robin handed Steve the keys back giving Lexi a small smirk as she ran off with Nancy to her car.

She huffed before sliding into the car beside max, had basically forced Steve to drive to one of her councillors, lexi had gotten out to have a smoke, Steve and Dustin chatted in the front “when did she start smoking?” Steve looked at Dustin “since you guys broke up” Dustin raised his brows “she’s been a mess dude” Dustin leaned his head back.

“And you’re still throwing yourself at her, while also flirting with girls” Dustin sighed watching Steve stare a lexi.

“Are you implying I still have a thing for lex?” Steve scoffed “no, I’m not implying, I know, we all know Steve.” Dustin nudged him “shut up” Steve looked away.

“Why did you guys even break up?” Dustin scoffed “you guys were disgustingly in love with each other” Steve shrugged “I dunno man, we argued”

“Like once, Steve, and all couples argue” Dustin shrugged “you guys are honestly the most dramatic people I’ve ever met.” Lexi came back into the car the same time max did.

“Drive” max yelled “Steve just drive dude” Lexi noticed his hesitation.

Maybe around five minutes later they were breaking and entering into Hawkins high, walking towards Miss Kelly’s office max had dug through the filing cabinet pulling out Fred and chrissy’s files “holy shit max, you found it” Lexi grinned as she leaned over max to read the file.

Dustin had noticed’s Max’s expression before her or Steve, “holy shit” she tried shaking Max’s shoulders to wake her up “what’s going on?” She furrowed her brows “max! Max!” The group yelled her eyes were rolled to the back of her head freaking the group out.

She had been doing her school work when she over heard Robin and Steve talking about Robin telling vickie a joke about Tammy Thompson sounding like a muppet “my point is you guys, that Vickie laughed and everything was just like…. Perfect” Robin grinned “good to know you’re in love” she nodded leaning back in the chair “yeah— but like I’m having this problem, where it’s like I should stop talking, I have said everything I need to say”

“And it’s like your mouth is moving faster than your mouth” Robin nodded “you do have that tendency” lexi spoke from her seat “I’m hopeless” Robin sighed “we all are” Lexi agreed “eh— well I’m not” Steve went to interrupt but Robin nudged him noticing how she went back to her school work hiding how her face dropped.

A couple hours later Dustin and Max both burst into the store “how many phones do you have?” Dustin asked “two” Lexi spoke furrowing her brows “why?” Steve asked “technically three, if you count Keith’s” Robin shrugged.

Both max and Dustin rounded the counter and planked themselves down beside the phones “what is this” Lexi furrowed her brows “eddies friends phone numbers” Dustin settled “your new best friend who you think is cooler because he plays your nerdy game?” Steve scoffed “seriously you guys, maybe on a Monday you can play around, but it’s Saturday, it’s our busiest day.” Robin said.

“Robin I empathise with you, but this cannot wait” Dustin said picking up the phone “can you fill them in, while I do this?” Dustin said to max “fill us in?” Lexi furrowed her brows “with what?”

She sat on the counter beside Dustin and max as Dustin phoned many of eddies friends but her eyes were on Steve as he spoke to one of the girls who were buying a tape “all right, doctor Zhivago, it’s a double VHS. It’s long, but that’s cause it’s filled with action and romance, and a little bit of suspense” he handed it to her “so my boyfriend won’t, like totally puke when I bring it home?” A small smile appeared on lexi’s face as she heard the word boyfriend.

“Oh. You.. your boyfriend? Uh no he’s — he’s gonna love it” Steve nodded as the girl walked away he looked over at Lexi, she glanced away looking back at whatever Dustin was doing.

“Guys might have a lead.” Dustin stood up “apparently, Eddie gets drugs from some guy named reefer Rick. And sometimes Eddie crashes there” Dustin explained “sounds promising” Lexi nodded.

“Means, he’s in the system” Steve shrugged “the cops, have probably busted him at some point” Steve muttered “really Steve? That’s your suggestion?” Dustin scoffed “I think they should be filled in on what we know, what’s going on.”

“You think eddies guilty don’t you” Dustin shook his head “I believe Innocent until proven guilty, all that constitutional shit” Steve shrugged “I just, you know don’t think we can rule it out.”

“That’s precisely what we’re trying to do here Steve.” Dustin scoffed “and maybe, we’d have a little more luck if you spent less time trying to find a girlfriend which, by the way, you’ve still got the perfect option right infront of you” both Steve and Lexi looked away “and more time trying to find Eddie.”

Robin had opted to search up the many ricks on the system trying to single out which movie a drug dealer would watch.

the group managed to single out a Rick, and decided to go to his place banging on the door “Rick!” Dustin yelled “reefer Rick!” He continued “don’t scream that” both Steve and Lexi said at the same time, glancing at each other before looking away, again.

She could feel robins smirk the group entered the little shed area wandered around it wasn’t that big anyway, Steve started poked at the tarp that was placed over something “what are you doing?” Dustin looked at him “he might be in there” Steve said shrugging.

“So take the tarp off” Dustin said “if you’re so brave you take the tarp off” Steve scoffed “hey look over there” max said pointing at the half eaten food “maybe he heard us” Lexi shrugged “and then ran off.”

“Don’t worry” Dustin said “Steve will get him with his oar” that got a little laugh out of lex before she schooled her face seeing Steve’s expression “I know you think you’re being funny, but considering everyone in this room nearly died a hundred times, personally, I don’t find this funny in the slightest—-.” The group jumped as Eddie jumped out pinning Steve against the wall.

“Woah woah woah woah” Steve panicked “Eddie! It’s me, Eddie!” Dustin jumped in “this is Steve” Eddie eventually calmed down “he’s not gonna hurt you, right Steve?”

“Right yeah” Steve nodded rubbing his neck “why don’t you drop the oar?” Dustin said as he dropped the oar.

“What are you doing here?” Eddie furrowed his brows “we’re looking for you” Dustin said placing a hand on his shoulder “these are my friends, and well sister”

“You know Robin. From band” Dustin said as Robin gave a small wave “this is my friend max” he nodded towards max “and that’s Lexi, my sister” eddies eyes lingered before Turning back to Dustin “we’re on your side”

“I swear on my mother” Dustin raised his hands “yeah, yes we swear” the group nodded “we just want to know what happened” Dustin said standing up “you won’t believe me” he sniffled the group looked between each other “why don’t you try us”

Eddie explained what happened that night between him and Chrissy, Lexi winced at the thought of bones cracking “yous all think I’m crazy right?” Eddie looked between them all “no, we don’t, not at all” Dustin said “don’t bullshit me man!”

“Look, what I’m about to tell you might be a little, difficult to take.” Dustin sighed “you know how people say Hawkins is… cursed?” Dustin raised his brows “they’re not way off..”

“There’s another world” Lexi spoke “and sometimes, it bleeds into ours” Dustin continued “like ghosts and shit?” Eddie rocked “worse” Lexi nodded

“We thought they were gone, but they’ve came back, worse than before, that’s why we needed to find you, if they’re back again? We need to know” Dustin nodded.

“I tried to wake her man, I really did” he sniffed “it was like she was in some sort of trance, or something —- or — or under a spell” he said “a curse.”

“Vecna’s curse” Lexi furrowed her brows “who’s Vecna?” Steve asked “a spell caster, a dark wizard.”

Life had moved on since summer of 85’ in Hawkins, that traumatising time turned into a distant memory none of them wanted to remember. Over that time she had become distant, avoidant, and had ended up breaking up with Steve as much as she didn’t want too, She thought it was better for the both of them.

She had tried to beg Keith to swap her shifts so she wouldn’t have to see Steve, they had tried to stay friend, she really couldn’t bear the thought of seeing him with another girl or flirting which, he had opted to do now, it hurt.

Yes, she had been the one to break up with him, yes it still hurt to see him with other girls, Robin was basically the only one holding the trio together.

“C’mon lex you need to take dusty to school” Claudia opened her bedroom door seeing her still asleep in her bed “do I need too” she groaned into her pillow “you also have work. So yes, you do hon”

Lexi grumbled before sitting up and started getting ready, if she had a shift with Steve she may aswell look good, right? Not that it matters he’s probably moved on by now.

“Anytime today Dustin” she yelled as she grabbed her keys as he came rushing past her “Jesus” she scoffed as she slid into the front seat of the car.

The drive was silent, she focused on driving Dustin was doing whatever “Steve won’t stop talking about you y’know” Dustin muttered she inhaled glancing out the window before focusing on the road infront of her “does he” she said quietly.

“Yeah — I mean, yeah he’s going out with new girls lex, but he misses you” Dustin looked at the side of her face noticing the tension in her jaw “I miss you guys” Dustin added

“It just didn’t work out Dustin” she shrugged “he’s allowed to move on” she exhaled a breath as she pulled up to Hawkins high.

“Bye, love you” Dustin said as he got out of the car, she noticed Steve’s car pull up Robin talking away to him she gripped the wheel, before the car door opened making her jump “Jesus Lucas” she said placing a hand to her heart

“Hey, sorry” he slid into the car “just wanted to give you this” he handed her a ticket, she took it from him “basketball game?” She glanced up at him “yeah” he nodded “I want you to come” he gave her a smile “yeah— uh definitely” she said out of the corner of her eye she noticed Steve doing a double take at her car.

“Thanks lex” she gave him a smile before he slid out of the car, she drove off towards family video

She stocked the shelves with some new movies hearing the bell ring on the door, she went to greet the customer a smile on her face she realised it was Steve “it’s just me” he raised his hands she watched as she walked past him to the break room, she really didn’t believe a word Dustin had said to her that morning.

A little while later the phone had started ringing, she was doing college work at the front desk, “family video how can I —.” Dustin’s voice interjected “Lexi! How would you like to join me in a fun game of dungeons and dragons tonight?” Dustin asked she scoffed “I’m going to Lucas’ game, Dustin I can’t” she sighed “c’mon Lexi” he tried “I never ask you for anything”

“You always ask me for everything” she said placing her pen down “fine, is Steve there?” Dustin asked making her look over her shoulder at him, he was in the break room. “Yeah, give me a sec” she muttered taking a breath before lightly pushing the door open “Dustin is on the phone” she informed before going back to her college work.

She didn’t mean to listen in, but she did, “what to hang out with you and Eddie the ‘freak’ Munson?” Steve scoffed as he leaned against the counter “yeah, I think I’ll pass” Steve said “besides, I mean, I really dig this girl, who knows she could be the one” that was a blow to the stomach she tried to focus on her school work, really tried, she turned her head to see some customers coming in and of course, they were stunning.

“Oh, got some customers, call you back, bye” Steve hung up before greeting the customers she let out a quiet sigh, she liked to tell herself that she didn’t miss him, but in reality, she did, she really did, she hated feeling like this.

She followed the crowd into the gym hall she gave Robin a smile noticing her in the band she walked up the bleachers finding a spot in between some people she didn’t recognise, and that’s when she had noticed Steve walking in with a date, that must’ve been the girl he was talking to Dustin about.

She glanced away when he looked up at her she watched the guys practice although she felt Steve’s eyes on her basically the whole game.

She cheered for Lucas, she was only there for Lucas, she was on the edge of her seat as the game ended seeing Lucas score the last shot winning the game.

She waited outside for Lucas giving a quick hug and a well done, before walking back to her car trying to ignore the fact that Steve was ushering that girl into his car, coming out of that trance she felt hands on her shoulder she turned around “don’t scare me like that rob” she let out a small chuckle nudging her shoulder.

“You came!” She grinned “I did” she smiled “I feel like I haven’t seen you in ages! You need to call more!” She said pulling Lexi into a hug “you seen me when I was last on shift with you” she laughed rubbing her back “Steve really misses you” Robin whispered in her ear

“Everyone keeps saying that” she muttered into robins shoulder “I know you saw him with that girl tonight, none of them matter lex, he’s still in love with you” Robin said quietly.

“Anyway, I’ll see you tomorrow” she said pressing a kiss to her hair before rushing off with her other band mates, leaving her standing there stunned.

“What is that” Erica furrowed her brows “there’s something in there” Lexi turned away still feeling a bit queasy from throwing up not ten minutes earlier “y’know there was a goalie on my soccer team, this other girl slid into her leg, and the bone came out of her knee, six inches or something—.”

Steve noticing lexi’s discomfort and the fact that Robin was not helping at all “Robin” he interrupted “yeah?”

“Shut up” Steve said rubbing lexis shoulder “this is gonna hurt like, hell okay?” Johnathan sat in front of Elle with the knife, “I need you to stay real still”

Johnathan handed eleven the wooden spoon to bite down on “holy shit” Dustin said as the thing that was in her leg crawled out.

“The mind flayer, it built this monster in Hawkins, to stop Elle, to kill her and pave a way into our world” Mike explained, apparently Joyce, hopper and some guy called Murray joined “and it almost did — that was just one tiny piece of it”

“How big is this thing?” Hopper asked looking at the group “it’s big” Johnathan muttered.

“Are we sure this thing is still alive?” Lexi asked looking at them from where she stood with Steve “Elle, beat the shit out of it but yeah, it’s still alive” Max nodded

She sat down with Steve — well he pulled her down beside him, she sighed “we could’ve really used you guys down there” Dustin said looking at the boys “could’ve used you up here too” Mike nodded the boys hugged “please don’t cry nerds”

“Erica” Lucas warned “hey, heads up, you can navigate, just from some place safe” hopper said.

“It’s not the simple, the signal won’t reach” Dustin shook his head “not with this, you need something with a high enough frequency band to relay with the Russians radio tower” Murray said “but for that to work, you need someone who has both seen their comms room and has access to a super powered radio tower, one preferably already situated at the highest point, in Hawkins.”

“Oh wait, that’s me” Dustin nodded scoffing in Murray’s face “if you want us to navigate, you’ve got us” Dustin said.

The give of them walked towards the parked car “oh, man this is what I’m talking about” Steve grinned “Toddfather?” Lexi furrowed her brows “oh, screw Todd, Steve’s her daddy now” Lexi looked at Robin like what the fuck

“Right where we going.”

“Jesus how far is this place man?” Steve scoffed looking at Dustin “i seriously cannot believe you told Steve before you told me, your sister, that you had a girlfriend” Lexi said shaking her head as steve drove “you hid dating Steve from me!” Dustin said.

“Anyways” Robin interjected “left Steve! Turn left” Dustin grabbed the wheel making him drive up the hill “dude we’re literally not gonna make it”

The group got out it of the car messing around with this cellular tower as they got in contact with Murray “bald eagle. This is scoops toops”

“What’s your 20?” Dustin asked “I told you! Radio silence” Murray scoffed “yeah, but we have a problem” Dustin muttered “what kind of problem” the monster growled, loud, “holy shit—.” Robin muttered

The group rushed back to the car driving down the road back to starcourt mall — Dustin was in the back trying to get in contact with Suzie. “Suzie, do you copy, do you copy.” Lexi shook her head “this is Suzie, I copy” Steve and lexi’s eyes widened as they looked at each other.

“Suzie!” Dustin smiled “dustybun?” She looked at Steve and mouthed ‘dustybun’ with a confused face “where have you been?”

“I’m so so so sorry!” Dustin apologised “I’ve been busy trying to save the world from monsters and evil Russians” Dustin muttered

“Just get the goddamn code already” Erica scoffed “okay, so listen, do you know planck’s constant?” Dustin asked “I— I know it starts with two sixes, and then uh.. w-what is it?”

“Okay, just let me be clear on this, I haven’t heard from you in a week, and now you want a mathematical equation that you should know, so you can save the world?” Suzies voice was hesitant “Suzie poo I promise I will make it up to you as soon as possible”

“You can make it up to me now” Suzie said you could hear her smile “what?” Dustin furrowed his brows “I want to hear it”

“Not right now”

“Yes, now dustybun” Suzie said the two of them started singing “I didn’t know this was a musical” she muttered sinking in her seat embarrassed for her brother.

Suzie finally told the code making them all sigh in relief.

The group rushed into starcourt the massive monster was going for eleven “holy—.” She went to run to pull eleven out of the way Johnathan stopped her — “let me— he’s gonna kill her.” She said trying to get past but eleven had started saying stuff to him making Billy cry.

“She was really pretty” eleven nodded Billy turned towards the monster “no!” He yelled the monsters tentacle dives right for his chest making him stumble back a little, the monster threw him down.

Max immediately ran over to him

She sat with Dustin at the back of an ambulance rubbing her arms to keep him warm their mom immediately came rushing towards them “my babies are you guys okay?” Claudia engulfed them in a hug.

Claudia spotted Steve standing awkwardly by himself, shouting on him to come over, he easily obliged, her mom pulled him into a hug.

“Are you okay?” She held his face he nodded, she finally let go after a second and Lexi pulled him into a hug.

A couple of months after that horrific incident Steve, Robin and Lexi were looking for a new job, “you put your mom down as a reference?” Lexi furrowed her brows looking at Steve “yeah” he shrugged “she’s, like super well respected”

“You’re such a dingus” Robin said as they go to it the car “uh, just to be clear, we weren’t fired, you know, the mall burned down and like, killed a bunch of people” Robin told Keith.

“Thanks for sharing” he looked towards Lexi “why do you think I wanna hire you again, you failed to show up at the last job, how can I trust you again?” He raised his brows.

“Yeah, well I was fired for the same thing at the community pool — and I can promise you Keith I will do extra hours— what ever you want” she raised her hands “so a date?” Keith smirked “woah woah woah” Steve said “not a chance buddy”

Long story short, they got the job, thankfully.

Dustin and Erica had to force the three of them into the back of the golf cart, she was laying with her head on Steve’s shoulder “Jesus slow down” Steve groaned his words slurred “yeah what is this, like the Indy 500?”

“It’s the Indy 300 hundred” Steve shook his head the two of them went back and forth — she just stayed quiet her cheek smushed against Steve’s shoulder as they both laughed

Dustin braked hard, making them groan in pain before the two children rushed to get them out of the car, she groaned “more walking?” She sighed as Dustin pushed her into the elevator

The drug that was in the liquid, just seemed to be making Steve and Robin hyper, meanwhile she sat with her back on the wall beside Erica “ugh, I’m so fired tomorrow” she rubbed her face.

“You’re burning up” Dustin placed a hand on Steve’s forehead “his pupils are super dilated” Dustin looked back at Erica “maybe their drugged”

“Where did you park your car Steve?” Dustin asked “oh can we stop at the food court?” Robin piped up “alright, you can have as much food as you want! As long as you tell us where your car is?”

Steve shrugged “uh-oh they took the keys” — Dustin turned around to Lexi “what about you?” He crouched infront of her “what about me?” She played with her hair “where’s your car?”

She shrugged playing with a strand of her hair as Dustin dug through her pockets “they took her keys aswell” Dustin groaned.

They exited the elevator the three of them groaning at the air “oh my god that tastes so good!” Robin smiled tasting the air “Steve, Lexi! Do you taste the air” Robin licked the air.

Dustin and Erica started pulling the three of the teens along “more running?” Lexi groaned following along

“Why are we in here?” She muttered sitting down on one of the movie theatre seats “these are too close!” Steve groaned “these blow” Lexi agreed

“Then don’t watch the movie” Dustin said getting increasingly annoyed “whatever you do don’t go anywhere” lexi’s head fell on Steve’s shoulder before she whispered “what’s happening?”

“I have no idea” Steve ate the trash popcorn

Robin had muttered something about needing to pee and Steve and Lexi followed, distracted by the water fountain, they hadn’t realised Dustin and Erica were panicking looking for them.

“I was not totally focused in there — but I’m pretty sure that mom was trying to bang her son” Robin said as Lexi got water from the fountain “you guys are like not making any sense right now” she muttered as Robin pushed in to get some water.

“You guys seeing this?” She copied Steve’s action looking up at the sparkly lights shone in their eyes making them increasingly dizzy.

Before they knew it the three of them were throwing up in each stall — it did make them feel much better.

After they had threw it all up she slid under the stall into Steve’s as Robin sat in the other stall — “when was the last time you peed your pants?” Steve asked

“When the doctor took the bone saw out” Robin muttered Lexi nodded agreeing with her “same” she chuckled “okay, okay my turn” Robin said “have… you.. have you ever been in love?”

“Yes, twice.” Steve nodded “Nancy wheeler first semester of senior year” Steve said as Lexi rolled her eyes “then Lexi obviously” Robin spoke for Steve as he nodded “and lex” he looked down at her smiling

“What about you lex” robin asked “um— probably just Steve” she nodded “I don’t think I’ve been with anyone else never mind loved anyone else” she muttered leaning her head back

“We used to absolutely hate each other aswell” Lexi muttered “really? I wouldn’t have never had known”

“Yeah well, s’weird out that works” Lexi let out a small laugh “what about you Robin?” Steve asked “Tammy Thompson” Robin said with out hesitation Steve was confused “but— tammy Thompson is a girl?” Lexi elbowed him.

“Steve” Robin muttered “oh” he gathered “oh shit.”

“That’s pretty sick robin” she chuckled “but— tammy Thompson, y’know she’s cute and all but I mean she’s a total dud” Steve let out a small chuckle “she is not” Robin scoffed “she wants to be like, a singer, she wants to move to Nashville and shit”

“I’m so glad I was not friends with you in high school” Lexi scoffed “she was so annoying Robin seriously” she chuckled

Dustin burst into the bathroom to see them all hurrying out, Dustin told them to blend in “we just have to get on the bus with the rest of these plebs, and home sweet home, here we come”

“Uh, Dustin?” Lexi said “we might not wanna go back to ours” she nodded looking at Steve “why?”

“Well I might’ve told them your full name” Steve scratched his neck “what the hell is wrong with you” Dustin scoffed “dude I was drugged!”

The three of them ran, and fast Lexi was still feeling a bit queasy, they hid behind a counter of some food stall “I’m either really hungry, or I might throw up again” she grumbled leaning her head back “shut up” dustin muttered before they heard a car horn, and a loud crash followed by men groaning in pain.

The five of them lifted their heads seeing the rest of the gang “Lucas?” Dustin furrowed his brows as they all rushed over “I really don’t understand what happened to that car?” Robin spoke looking between them all “Elle, has super powers.” Lexi told her

“I’m sorry?” Robin raised her brows “superpowers. She threw it with her mind” Steve nodded “that’s Elle” she pointed to her “I’m sorry, who are you?” Nancy asked robin “oh, uh I’m Robin, I work with Steve.”

“She cracked a top secret code” Lexi said “yeah, which is how we found out about the Russians” Dustin nodded “Russians, what Russian?” Mike said furrowing his brows.

Elle had wandered off into the distance whimpering and limping “hey what’s wrong with Elle?” Lexi asked as they all rushed over “what’s wrong?” Mike asked sitting down next to her.

“My leg. My leg.” She muttered Johnathan rolled her pant leg up seeing the nasty cut making everyone wince there was something in there.

The alarm noise was loud as they ran through the place, Steve, Robin and Lexi ended up trying their best to hold the door shut as some of the Russians tried to push through “guys! Go” she yelled at Dustin and Erica “what are you guys doing?” Erica furrowed her brows “go! Just get out of here.”

“I won’t forget you!” Dustin yelled “go!” They all yelled trying their best to keep the guards from coming in as the kids escaped it became increasingly impossible to keep them out.

The door was pushed opened, guns pointed towards them

Next thing she knew, she was getting questioned in a room “who do you work for” the Russian guard or boss paced infront of her a stern look on the guys face “oh my god — I’ve told you five times” she groaned her head falling back.

“We’re not out to get you dude” she scoffed “how did you get in?” The guy came right up into her face she shrugged “we were looking for our delivery— and the elevator just dropped and next thing we know, we’re in this great place” she said.

“You could literally let us go” she tried to plead “we’re not gonna tell anyone about this” she tried “I like you” the man said walking away a little “you and that little sailor boy are hard work” the man said in a thick Russian accent walking out the room “I wonder how the sailor girl will be.”

She was soon pushed into a room with Steve, well thrown, “Steve? Steve” she rushed over shoving him a bit “what the hell did you do to him?” She scoffed —Then Robin got thrown in

“Put them in chairs” one of the guys said in his thick Russian accent “babe— c’mon wake up” she tried again — “get— off of me” she tried to protest but it was no use, the three of them were strapped together on chairs.

“What did you do” Robin looked at the Russians “I think your little boyfriend needs a doctor” the man said to Lexi “don’t touch him” she scoffed “good thing we had the very best” the Russian smirked before leaving.

Robin and Lexi were shouting for help loudly — “hey can you two stop yelling?” Steve’s voice muttered “babe— oh my god” Lexi smiled tilting her head back “are you okay?” She sighed

“My ears are ringing and I can’t really breathe, my eyes feel like it’s about to pop out of my skull but you know, apart from that I’m doing pretty good” Steve nodded muttering sarcastically “well, the good news is they’re calling a doctor” Robin nodded

— one of the Russian guards came back in “try telling the truth this time yeah?” The guy injected some liquid into their necks “what the hell is tha— ow!” She out of instinct when to grab her neck but was trapped so she couldn’t.

“Let’s try this again?” The man said after doing the same thing to all of them “how did you find us?”

“Literally by mistake dude —.” Lexi groaned leaning her head back “yeah— totally by accident.”

The man, held some sort of contraption on Steve’s finger “what are you doing with that” Lexi turned her head trying to see what was going on “whoa—.” Steve tried to backtrack “we heard a code!” Lexi muttered trying to distract the doctor.

“What code?” The guard raised his brows “the week is long, the silver cat feeds when blue meets yellow in the west … blah blah blah” Robin said “you broadcasted that stupid code all over down, dumbasses, we picked it up on our cerebro and we cracked it!” Lexi said the drug or whatever was in the liquid was clearly working.

“Who knows we’re here you little bitch” the man stood infront of Lexi “uh, well, her little brother Dustin.” Steve spoke “Steve” Lexi warned “yeah, Dustin Henderson, he knows”

“Steve!” Lexi yelled “Dustin Henderson?” The man raised his brows “it’s your small friend, curly hair?”

Steve nodded, “yes, great hair, small” a laugh escaping his lips “where is he?” The man asked “he’s long gone! You big asshole” Steve laughed “he’s probably calling hopper, and hopper’s calling the the us cavalry”

The man laughed walking away, as the alarmed blared “hey Henderson! That’s crazy I was just talking about you!” Dustin rushed in breaking the ropes with a knife.

“Get ready to run” Dustin said to them all untying the knots.

v. The flayed

The room which tired out to be an elevator, started going down and fast the group of panicking “we’re going down we’re going down!” Steve yelled “well no shit” she scoffed gripping on to some of the cabinets

“Why don’t the buttons work?” Dustin said sliding down the wall “press the button!” Erica yelled “what do you think I’m doing?” Dustin yelled

The elevator soon came to a harsh stop boxes falling on top of Steve “ow, my groin” he groaned Lexi pushed herself up to go help “lex, get this off of me” he called out “I’m trying!” She said lifting the heavy box off of him.

“Is everyone okay?” Robin asked looking at the group “oh yeah totally” Lexi shook her head “good to know Russians can’t design elevators” Lexi sighed leaning back against the wall.

“They have to do something, they’re buttons” Steve stood “if we had a keycard” Dustin nodded “it’s an electronic lock, same as the loading door, if we don’t have a keycard, it won’t operate, meaning we’re stuck in here”

They all groaned, “just so you nerds are aware, I’m supposed to be spending the night at Tina’s, and Tina always covers for me. But if I’m not home for uncle jacks party tomorrow and my mom finds out you four are responsible, she’s gonna hunt you down, one by one and slit your throat” Erica scoffed Steve obviously annoyed, snapped.

“I don’t care about Tina! Or uncle jacks party! Your mom isn’t gonna be able to find us if we’re dead in a Russian elevator!” Steve said Dustin was looking up at a hatch.

“Hey, what if we climbed out?” Dustin and Steve climbed up to the hatch.

“What were you saying about climbing out?” Steve said.

Lexi sat with her back against the wall watching Robin and Erica both look around bored, it was the next morning she had fallen asleep as much to her dismay. “I’m definitely gonna get fired again” she sighed leaning her head back groaning.

“What do you mean again?” Robin furrowed her brows “I got fired from my last job for not showing up, and what’s happening now is also the reason I couldn’t show up last year.”

“This is happened before?” Robin furrowed her brows “not exactly like this, but y’know we fought monsters” she shrugged “monsters?” Erica furrowed her brows as Lexi nodded “I don’t believe you” Erica said Robin sorta raised her brows like she was trying to “in Hawkins?”

“Yep” Lexi nodded standing up climbing up to see the boys “any luck on getting through to anyone?” She pushed herself up “none” Dustin sighed “no one is answering”

“Steve are you pissing?” She looked over at him as his back was turned to them and the obvious piss stream.

“Yeah — don’t look —Dustin I mean.” She shook her looking away anyway — then Robin and Erica started coming up “we’ve got company” Robin said.

After the guards had left Steve jumped down rolling the tube of mystery liquid so it jammed in the door stopping it from shutting the rest of them jumped down aswell sliding under the gap “c’mon guys” she said to Steve and Dustin as she helped Dustin out.

“Steve, hurry up” the glass on the tube started cracking and sizzling into the ground, she hurriedly helped Steve “Jesus Christ” Steve ran a hand through his hair the five of them turned around “holy mother of god” Dustin muttered “well I hope you guys are in good shape” he said before looking at Dustin and patting his stomach “I’m looking at you roast beef” he said taking lexi’s hand and started walking with her.

Dustin was yapping about something she really wasn’t in mood to listen too her head was against Steve’s arm as they walked it was a long long path “you’re all so nerdy, it makes me physically ill.” She heard Erica say “I agree” Lexi nodded “you literally had no friends in high school and chose to study instead of socialise” Steve scoffed “yeah but like I have no clue what the hell promethium is” she tiredly said.

The group had reached some sort of comms room they were pressed up against the “I’m 100% sure I saw the comms room, the door was open for a second, and I saw a bunch of lights and machines and shit in there”

“That could be loads of different things Dustin” Lexi muttered “I’ll take the odds” Dustin said “alright, we’re gonna move fast, stay low, okay?” He looked at the group everyone nodded “c’mon c’mon c’mon” Steve pulled on lexi’s hand — one of the men spotted them speaking in Russian, but Steve had just went for it and started fighting the guy.

She rubbed her face, glancing at Dustin, Dustin was so happy “dude! You did it, you won a fight!” Dustin cheered after Steve knocked the guy out.

Robin reached forward taking the keycard from the guys pocket before they went to leave seeing a lot of Russians around some sort of machine.

“What the hell?”

“That keycard opens the door, but unfortunately, the Russians with this keycard also have a massive gun” Dustin said pacing the room “they really don’t want anyone getting in there.. huh?” She muttered sitting down

“Well you know, I could just take him out” Steve shrugged Lexi and Dustin’s brows raising “take who out, babe?” She looked over at him

“The Russian guard” Steve shrugged looking at lexi, and Dustin’s face “what? I sneak up behind him, I knock him out, and I take his keycard, easy” Lexi nodded “right, okay so when have you ever won a fight in the past?” She asked

“That was one time” Dustin shook his head at Steve “no, no— twice, Johnathan, year prior” Dustin raised his brows standing behind “listen, that doesn’t count” Steve tried to protest “why wouldn’t it? Let’s be honest, babe, he beat the shit out of you” she shrugged “you got a fat lip and a crooked nose.. swollen eye, a lot of blood, things that all added up”

“That just might work” Robin interrupted leaving the break room “hey— what Robin?” The three of them followed as she took the cash from the tip jar “I need cash”

“Half of that is mine?” Steve furrowed his brows “where are you going?” Dustin asked “to find a way into that room, a safe way” Robin left

“It’s really fascinating what 20 bucks will get you at the county recorder’s office” Robin walked back into the break room placing the map down “the complete blue prints” Robin present.

“So this is us, and this is where we want to get” Robin pointed “how do we get in?” Lexi asked furrowing her brows “there’s not, if you’re talking exclusively about doors” Robin said “air ducts” Dustin said pointing to one that was in the corner of the room.

“Exactly, turns out, this secret room needs air just like any old room” Robin nodded at them “these air ducts lead all the way here.”

Dustin was the smallest out of all of them, “I seriously don’t see why Lexi can’t do this” Dustin said as Steve handed him the flashlight “she’s smaller than me??”

“You have no collar bones, remember Dustin” Steve said patting his back “she has collar bones” robins brows furrowed “uh, excuse me?”

“He’s got a disease” Lexi muttered as Steve continued “chry… it’s chrydo, um something yeah, I dunno”

“He’s missing bones and stuff, he can bend like gumbo” Steve smirked “you mean Gumby?” Robin raised her brows “I’m pretty sure it’s gumbo” Steve said as Dustin claimed he was ready “okay, I’ll push you” Steve said pushing his feet “not my feet, dumbass, push my ass”

“What?”

“Touch my butt! I don’t care!” Dustin yelled “come on! Harder! Push harder.” Robin and Lexi were trying not to laugh “I’m gonna shove you okay?” Steve prepared to shove him before the bell started ringing.

Robin and Lexi both got an idea as they heard Erica’s voice

“Yeah I dunno” Erica said “you don’t know if you can fit?” Lexi had stayed back with Steve helping him make the ice cream for Erica “she’s really pushing her luck” she muttered watching as Steve came back with the same banana split “definitely” he scoffed.

“I think I heard her say she wanted free ice cream for child” she said watching as Steve squeezed more sauce on top.

“She’s insane” Steve shook his head “all we’re asking for is a quick favour, cause all she does is come in here and ask for samples.” He rolled his eyes.

Erica Robin and Dustin came over, Robin signalled for them to move back into the break room, they all moved up to the roof, Erica was half way in the vents already, “you nerds in position or what?” Erica spoke.

“It’s all quiet here, so you’ve got the green light” Robin nodded “commence operation child endangerment”

“Could we maybe not call it that” Robin shook her head “see you on the other side nerds.”

“I’m there” Erica’s voice came through the walkie talkie “do you see anything?” Lexi asked “yeah, I see those boring boxes you’re so excited about”

“Any guards?”

“Negative” Erica said “booby traps?” Robin questioned “if I could see them, they’d be pretty shitty traps” the group nodded pretty valid point “I’m In nerds, free ice cream for. Life.” Erica demanded.

“That’s definitely not Chinese food” Dustin let out a small chuckled as they looked over all the boxes “uh, maybe you guys should y’know, stand back” Steve looked up specifically looking at Lexi, the three girls did but Dustin didn’t.

“Step back Dustin” Lexi said Steve nodded “no” he shook his head “if you die, I die” Dustin looked at Steve.

“Okay” Steve nodded before cracking open the box and pulling out some sort of tube with green liquid in it “what the hell”

Then, the room sorta moved “was that just me or did the room just move?” Robin looked around “booby traps” Erica whispered “let’s just grab this and go” Dustin said walking over to the control panel “which one do I press Erica?”

“Just press the button nerd” Erica said “I’m pressing the button.” Dustin continuously tapped the button — the door slammed shut “oh shit” she panicked

That morning at work she never seen Billy or heather, it was weird and oddly quiet cause the moms had left before her shift ended.

She was another half day since it had started raining she was desperate to get back to scoops to find out more about this evil Russian communication thing her fingers tap impatiently on the deck chair watching the clock.

Finally after what felt like ages she stepped down from the life guard chair getting changed and hopping into her car and driving towards scoops.

Walking into scoops her brows furrowed “where’s Steve and Dustin?” She asked after coming back to the front after dumping her stuff in the back “trying to find evil Russians walking around here” Robin told her “right and that’s totally going to work” she chuckled “I doubt a Russian will be walking out in the open.”

“Tell that to your idiotic boyfriend and brother” Robin scoffed making her laugh a little

The two of them sat in the break room when a knock came from the delivery door, Robin was going over the secret code from the recording when Dustin and Steve walked in “you’re not gonna believe who Dustin thought was a Russian” Steve pushed the door opening noticing Lexi pressing a kiss to her lips as he walked by.

Robin wasn’t listening to the boys still repeating the code “when blue meets yellow..in the west” she repeated to herself “Robin?”

“She’s been doing that for the past half hour” Lexi nodded eating some of the ice cream “I cracked the code” Robin looked between the three of them “cracked the.. code?” Steve raised her brows standing behind Lexi both hands on the back of her chair.

The group had gone to the roof that had an overview of an elevator — it was storming and hard — she looked through the binoculars “what do you think’s in there?” Steve asked taking the binoculars from her “guns, bombs” Dustin shrugged

“Whatever it is, they’re armed to the teeth” Dustin said as the door slid open looked like a load of boxes were in the room “let me see” Steve tried to take the binoculars back from Dustin “no — I’m still looking” Dustin yanked them back “lemme see” Steve tried again before they clanked on the railing making a pound noise.

“Shit” they all fell back Steve gripping onto her hand tightly the rain was coming down “well i think we found your Russians” Robin said from beside Dustin.

She had finished work after heather had took her spot, only a half day, so she decided to go to the mall mostly to shop mostly to see Steve, when she approached scoops she seen Steve sitting in a booth with Dustin “hey guys?” She furrowed her brows sitting down beside Steve his hand sliding round her waist giving her a quick kiss, dustin scowled.

“Anyway” Dustin continued whatever their conversation was before Lexi joined “she’s like hotter than Phoebe cates” Dustin nodded

“Who is?” She furrowed her brows “Dustin has a girlfriend” Steve said making her eyes widen “you’ve got a girlfriend? Dustin, why did you not tell me” she scoffed “and you told Steve first?” She shook her head

“I was gonna tell you” Dustin shrugged “but you were working all day yesterday” Dustin tilted his head “you know what the best part is? She doesn’t even care that my real pearls are still coming in, she says kissing is better without teeth” Dustin smiled Steve and Lexi looked at each other before nodding “that’s great”

“Yeah— yeah real romantic” Steve agreed Dustin smiled to himself “so where is everyone else?” Lexi furrowed her brows “they ditched me yesterday” Steve raised his brows at him “no” he said disbelief in his tone.

“My first day back, can you believe that” Dustin shook his head angrily “they’re gonna regret it though, big time, when they don’t get to share in my glory” Dustin smiled

“What?” She glanced at Steve “what do you mean glory?” Steve finished “so last night, we were trying to get in contact with Suzie” he started making the two of them nodded their heads.

Dustin leaned closer “I intercepted a secret Russian communication” he said in a barely audible tone, Steve and Lexi glanced at each other again “what?” Steve raised his brows

Dustin inhaled “I intercepted a secret Russian communication” that tone wasn’t any better “Dustin, dude, speak louder” she furrowed her brows before he loudly said “I intercepted a secret Russian communication!”

“Right, okay, yeah that’s what we thought you said” Steve scoffed looking around as people glanced at them “what does that mean?” She furrowed her brows “it means, that, we could be hero’s” Dustin leaned forward.

“What’s the catch?” Steve raised his brows “I just need you guys’ help” Dustin shrugged “with?” She furrowed her brows “translation”

“Sounded familiar” Steve nodded “what?” Dustin furrowed his brows “the music right there at the end”

The three of them migrated to the break room, she sat on the table as Dustin wrote down the Russian alphabet on a white board “what do you think?” Dustin asked the two as the recording played

“Why are you listening to the music Steve?” He scoffed “listen to the Russian, we’re translating Russian” Dustin said before Robin burst in “alright, babysitting over, you need to get in there” Robin said “hey my board” she scoffed

“That was important data shitbird” she said at Dustin “i guarantee you, what we’re doing is way more important than your data” Dustin shrugged “yeah? And how do you know these Russians are up to no good anyway?” The boys looked at each other completely confused “how does she know about the Russians?”

“I’m pretty sure the both of you are being extremely loud” Lexi said getting off the table “c’mon! It’s your turn to sling ice cream, my turn to translate “I don’t even want credit, I’m just bored” Robin tried to plead, Lexi followed Steve out of the break room.

She was helping Steve with the ice cream when eleven and max approached asking for some ice cream Steve had asked them something about eleven not being allowed out but they had just giggled and walked away.

Lexi and Dustin had stayed till closing, walking out with Steve and Dustin as Steve closed the shutters “the week is long the silver cat feeds, when blue meets yellow in the west” Dustin spoke as him and Robin started walking a bit ahead, while Lexi waited on Steve.

“I mean, it just can’t be right” Steve muttered locking the shutters before taking lexis hand and following behind both Robin and Steve “it’s definitely right” Robin nodded “it’s totally code” Lexi shrugged

“What do you mean code?” Steve looked at her “like a super secret spy code” Dustin finished for her “that’s a total stretch” Steve shook his head “I don’t know is it” Robin shrugged

“The silver cat feeds” Robin repeated “I’m just saying why would anyone talk like that unless they’re trying to mask the meaning of their message” she shrugged resting her head on Steve’s arm as they walked.

Steve had let go over her hand as he crouched down next to a children’s carousel “what are you doing?” She furrowed her brows “you got a quarter?” He searched in his bag, dustin and Robin had noticed that the two of them had stopped walking.

She looked in her own back “no I don’t” she looked at Robin and Dustin confused “do any of you guys have a quarter?” He asked Robin handed one over “you sure your tall enough do that ride?” Robin laughed.

The tune that was on the recording started playing making her brows raise “holy shit” Dustin realised “the music!” Dustin started playing the recording “I don’t understand” Robin said confused.

“It’s the exact same song on the recording” Lexi said “maybe they have horses like this in Russia” Robin shrugged “the Indiana flyer?… I don’t think so” Steve shook his head “it definitely didn’t come from Russia” Lexi nodded “it came from here.”

Summer had finally arrived in Hawkins, Lexi had graduated from Hawkins high finally, along with Steve, who was now, her boyfriend, as much to her brothers dismay, although Steve had over heard him talking to Mike that he secretly loved it.

Hawkins had definitely settled since last November, and they were stoked, they had been through enough in the past few years to have to deal with that again.

Steve had picked up a job at the new mall that opened recently in scoops ahoy, since being rejected from college, hey may aswell be making money than sitting in the house and doing nothing.

Meanwhile, she had picked up a job at the community swimming pool as a life guard, as she had gotten fired from the arcade job cause obviously with all the shit going — she couldn’t show up, so when she showed up the next day Kieth had refused to let her work.

It was a great job anyway, she got to sit out in the sun, tan, and rarely had to get off the chair unless she was switching with someone.

Dustin was also away at some summer camp thing, so really was just hanging out with Steve at scoops when she wasn’t working or finished working.

Like right now, they were in the back room scoops got deliveries from, making out, which they regularly done when he was on his break, but his new co-worker, Robin, who Lexi had befriended, had no shame in opening the door catching them mid-Make out to tell them “hey dinguses, your children are here”

The two of them sighed breaking apart “how much you wanna bet it’s to get into the cinema for free, again” she smiled leaning her forehead on his “your probably right” he chuckled as they walked back in “seriously?” Steve opened the sliding window.

He led them to back, “I swear if anybody hears about this” Steve warned “we’re dead!” They all said

As he walked back in the power turned off, not just in scoops but apparently the whole mall her brows furrowed “that’s weird” Steve said walking to the light switch flicking it on and off “that’s not gonna work dingus” Robin said rolling her eyes at him, but the power turned back on after a couple of minutes.

“Let there be light” he said going back to scooping ice cream, Robin looked over at Lexi, like that’s your boyfriend

“Dustin!” She smiled as he came through the front door “how was camp?” She asked as she fixed her hair in the mirror— getting ready to go to work

“Good” he sighed “well I’ll see you later I got work” she pulled him in for a hug before leaving.

The pool was always crowded, well obviously since it was summer, someone rarely drowned so just sitting in the sun for a couple of hours was a dream and she was catching a tan to be honest.

She was a people watcher and loved looking around observing different people through her sunglasses she had recently noticed Karen wheeler and the rest of the moms had been only coming because of Billy Hargrove, yes unfortunately Lexi was working with him.

Lexi’s time was up for now on the chair as she climbed down she saw one of the moms sit up muttering “showtime” as Billy walked out from the staff room she gave him a subtle nod, he stopped her.

“Lex” he said “yeah?” She squinted “you still with Harrington?” He asked, this had been a recurring thing, she come down from her shift, he’d be going onto his — he’d ask if she was still with Steve.

“You keep asking me that Billy, yeah I am” she nodded “well as I keep saying, you deserve better than that” she rolled her eyes and kept walking — she could feel some of the moms eyes on her as she walked away.

The door had slowly unlocked by itself as a tense air went over the group the door opened, and eleven…. Came walking in?

“Eleven?” Mike inhaled seeing her new look, it was more of a punk look it was odd “Mike” a small smile went over her features the both of them pulling each other into a hug.

“I called you every night, every day for…” Mike trailed as eleven finished his sentence “353 days” she she smiled.

“I heard.”

“Why didn’t you tell me you were there, that you were okay?” Mike frowned as Elle looked over at hopper “because I wouldn’t let her” hopper sighed

“The hell is this?” Mike scoffed going up to hopper “you’ve been hiding her” he smacked the officers chest “hey! Let’s talk, alone!” Hopper guided him into a room.

Eleven was going round the boys before coming over to Lexi “hey” she smiled pulling her into a hug “I love the new look” she chuckled “pretty?” Eleven asked as Lexi nodded “very pretty”

“Eleven?” Max stood beside them “hey. Uh, I’m max” eleven just walked past max towards Joyce “hey sweetheart—.”

“When were you gonna tell me you were friends with someone who has powers?” Steve whispered to Lexi she shrugged “what are you feeling a little left out?” She laughed.

The group had decided to split up — we’ll they were preparing too she had opted to stay back with the boys, “you should go with him” Steve said to Nancy “no— no I’m not just gonna leave Mike” Nancy scoffed

“No one’s leaving anyone” Steve shrugged “I may be a pretty shitty boyfriend .. but turns out I’m a pretty god babysitter” he muttered “and plus lexi’s here aswell — she’s pretty awesome”

Nancy smiled at that fond comment.

She sat on the sofa watching both Dustin and Steve try and fit the demo-dog in the fridge freezer while Mike was also pacing “Mike would you just stop already?” Lucas groaned “you weren’t in there, okay, Lucas?”

“The lab is swarming with hundreds of those dogs” Mike sat down “the chief will take care of her.” Lucas reassured Mike

“Listen, dude a coach calls a play in a game, bottom line, you execute it all right?” Her brows furrowed in confusion as Steve related this to a sports game “we’re on the bench anyway” she shrugged “so my point is, right yeah, we’re on the bench so, uh nothing we can do” he nodded.

“I mean, these demo-dogs have a hive mind when they ran away from the bus they were called away — if we get their attention maybe we can draw them from the lab” Dustin explained — Steve was clearly not having “this is not happening — I promised I’d keep you shitheads safe and that exactly what I — we plan on” he looked back at Lexi “isn’t that right, Lex” she fell silent “Lexi?” He looked back.

“I’m not exactly opposed to it—.” An engine revving could be heard from outside “they’re not back already are they?” She furrowed her brows as they rushed to the windows “it’s my brother” max muttered

“He can’t know I’m here, he’ll kill me, he’ll kill us” she looked back at them all Steve had decided to go out, obviously this was not gonna end well.

“Billy’s your brother?” She looked at max as max nodded “am I dreaming or is that you Harrington?” Billy stepped out the five of them were watching from the window “what are you doing here, aimgo?” Billy walked forward “could ask you the same thing….. amigo”

“Looking for my stepsister” he muttered “a little birdie told me she was here” Billy shrugged “huh, that’s weird, don’t know her”

“Small, redhead, a bit of a bitch?” Billy stepped closer to him “doesn’t ring a bell, sorry” Steve shrugged “you know — this whole situation— it’s giving me the heebiejeebies”

Steve furrowed his brows “oh yeah? Why’s that?”

“Because my 13 year old little sister goes missing all day, and then I find her with you, in a strangers house, and you lie to me about it” Billy raised his brows “man were you dropped as a child or something? I already told you she’s not here”

“Oh yeah? Then who is that?” Billy pointed at the window, after being caught they all ducked “shit did he see us?” Max muttered as they heard the door slam open “well well well, Lucas Sinclair what a surprise” Billy immediately narrowed in on Lucas.

“I thought I told you to stay away from him” Billy said to max “Billy go away” max spat back “you disobeyed me” he shoved Lucas a little “and you know what happens when you disobey me, I break things.”

He started shoving Lucas into the corner “Billy get off of him” she yelled “you stay away from her Sinclair — you hear me?” Steve had cam up behind him punching him.

Billy groaned “looks like you got some fire in you after all huh?” Billy turned around “I’ve been waiting to meet this king Steve everyone’s been telling me so much about” Billy started fighting back “yes! Kick his ass Steve” Dustin cheered Lexi nudged him shaking her head

Billy had maybe punched Steve a little too hard as he had went unconscious — Max had snuck up behind him injecting some sort of liquid or something into his neck making him clutch his neck “you little shit what did you do” he slurred

“From here on out, you leave me and my friends alone, do you understand?” Billy was on the floor “screw you” he drowsily said “say you understand! Say it! Say it!” Max slammed the nailed bat in between his legs. “Let’s get out of here” max scoffed dropping the bat.

She and everyone else had struggled to get Steve into Billy’s car “why did we insist on bringing him?” Lucas asked Dustin “cause we’re not just gonna leave him there are we?” Dustin scoffed “I’ll drive — max what are you doing?”

“You sit in the back with Steve, I’m sure he’d want to see your face when he wakes up” Max said slipping in to the drivers seat.

As they started driving Steve had started to wake up “Lexi..?” He looked up at her with a groan “no, don’t touch it” she moved his hand away from his face gently.

“It’s okay, you put up a good fight” Dustin nodded “he kicked your add but you put up a fight, you’re okay” Dustin said gently

Then he noticed max driving “what— what’s going on” he sat up quickly but she was sitting in the middle seat, Mike and Dustin on either side of her so she had to budge over “Jesus Steve” she placed her hands on his shoulders trying to keep him from moving.

“Relax she’s drove before” Lucas said Steve looked back at Lexi “why aren’t you driving—.” He said panicked look on his face.

Max parked the car everyone emptying out the car “we are not going down there” Steve said as everyone started putting on mask, and goggles “Steve I get you’re annoyed, but we need to do this”

“I know you promised to keep us safe” Dustin handed him a bandana and goggles “so keep us safe” they started walked towards the hole.

The boys started taking lead, but Steve wasn’t having it “if you guys die down here, we’re getting the blame, got it dipshit?” Steve took the map, now leading.

“From here on out, I’m leading the way”

This place was creepy as hell, the slimy vines in every direction around them wasn’t helping — the soon approached the hub “alright wheeler, I think we found your hub”

“Drench it” Mike said as Lexi helped Steve pour the gasoline over the slimy vines.

“Light ‘er up” Dustin said as Lexi flicked the flame on the lighter and throwing it down on the ground “go!” He said to the kids putting out a hand so Lexi could hurried step over the flame — they continued running — but neither of them let go.

But Mike had fell, one of the vines wrapping around his ankle “help!” Mike shrieked the group immediately rushing to help, letting go of Steve’s hand she reached down to cut the vine around his ankle as they pulled him out.

One of the demo-dogs approached, “stand back” Dustin muttered bending down to the monster “Dustin—.” Lexi went to step forward “trust me, please” he said holding out nougat to the demo-dog “it’s Dustin, alright? You remember me?” Placing the nougat down the rest of the group squeezed by.

Steve and Lexi were helping the kids up and out of the hole — growling was coming down from the end of the hole making Lexi panic “dude— you gotta hurry” she said “calm down lexi” Dustin said from the top — the monsters started running down Steve had pulled her close, she could feel the demo-dogs running past their feet; not going for them at all.

She looked up at Steve, .. he was already looking at her “what?” She looked around her eyes falling back on him, he leaned in unsure, but their lips met gently, he kissed her but Dustin had decided to ruin the moment by gagging.

“Gross, that’s my sister dude” she just smiled to herself as Steve helped her out the hole.

Hopper had asked her to help eleven get ready for the snowball she had brought all her make up over, and a dress that eleven had picked out from her closet.

“So did Mike ask you to go?” She asked as she swiped the blush on Elle’s face, she nodded “yes”

“That’s sweet” Lexi smiled “Mike — Mike told me you and Steve kissed” eleven said Lexi nodded “you like him?” She asked

“Uh— you know, I guess so” Lexi nodded, finally after months of denial coming to terms with her feelings “I guess I do like him” it was a long time coming.

She had let hopper relax, after some photos were took she drove eleven to the dance, “now just be yourself and I’m sure you’ll be fine” she nodded as she looked at Elle.

Eleven soon got out the car, and so did Lexi spotting Steve standing out side of his car a smile spreading across her face.

“Don’t tell me you gave Dustin that hairspray” she said walking over to him “obviously I did” he chuckled.

“I don’t think he wants us together” Steve said as she walked closer “since when did you listen to anyone” she teased before he kissed her harder than the last time.
