That was it! She quit this profession, this damn town and even her sister. Except that thought hurt a little so maybe not. She'd spent all day at the clinic, talking to rabbits, cats and dogs just to have so many of them tell her that their owners weren't exactly one hundred when it came to taking care of them. If it were possible to run away with them all, she'd do it in a heartbeat. El, not her given birth name, just the name she chose to go by most often had tried to swallow her anger over the entire day but as she stood in line, waiting to pick up a salad from a local eatery, conveniently dubbed The Eatery, she could feel it boiling over. The elbow that hit her back seconds later was the final straw.
"What the hell?! Did you just learn to walk yesterday or were you born this morning, you don't know basic etiquette? I just want to pick up this buffalo chicken salad, go home and forget this day even happened yet I've got to deal with rude ass people. What gives?"
