Kitty Shift dress for Blythe with free pattern

I just made some simple shift dresses for my Blythe doll and share the pattern here.

I’m not a doll/toy lover, but I was really tempted to do after watching movies Toy Story series from Pixar. I know I’m already adult, but the movies are very touching (Buzz is my fave!) and they remind me my old and new toys. I just wanted to show them some love.

I’ve never sewn doll clothes, so I started from simple one. There are many blythe clothe patterns on the web, I made mine referring to them and actual blyth dresses. Free download blythe dress pattern with short instruction here.

It was quite fun and I found this is very good as a design format for simulating  sewing ideas for real human. I made a few idea sketches that I wanted try but I cannot wear on the street.
