As a first year teacher, this guy is making all sorts of mistakes in his class so I’m assuming he might be a substitute of some sort or interim. That said, you don’t engage in a shout match nor an argument with a student. Also, this is not a conversation you should be having with a class full of minorities when you aren’t taking into consideration their views or their experience of the world. He really failed this girl and the class. Some of these teachers are out their damn mind.
