“But the other.. what about the other people? Oh god, they were there.. and the-They were.. Jesus, I can’t.. I can’t do this.” Her knees suddenly feeling weak, falling to ground. “Why the hell is this happening?” She gripped his hand tighter as she tried to keep herself together.

He thought he wasn’t the one in shock but when heard Sera’s question, she brought him back to control. She was right, the X-men would never leave a place were people were harmed. “I-I think” he started talking, breathing heavily. “I think we should look around, see if someone else needs help... may-maybe we should go? should we go?... Oh God, oh God.”

“A month ago I was not even a mutant and now I’m a fucking terrorist. This is going great.”

“So you were a late bloomer? You shouldn’t worry too much, hopefully this will all blow over soon enough.”

“Yeah, This is all new to me.” John looked at the handome guy’s face with a wary grin. “Do you really think so? ‘Cause sorry... but I don’t belive you...”

“How is this fair? This is just the government keeping track on how many mutants there are in the world. Did they honestly think no one was going to rebel?”

“It’s the opposite of fair! this SUCKS! If that is what they want I rather rebel than being litterally labeled. We are not fucking THINGS to own.”

“I .. How.. That was.. That was a .. Oh my god…” She shuddered, leaning closer towards her friend. “Why is this…Jesus, what the hell’s going on? Why would anyone do this? I..I don’t get it?” She sniffed as she gripped on his shirt tighter.

“I don’t knwo Sera, I don’t know” He answered nervously, he could feel his heart rate fastening and an urge to leave the place. He took her hand and lead the way. It was a mess but they weren’t that far away from an exit. “We’ll found out who did this... but right now we need to get you to safety.” he looked around one more time, to see if anybody else was there. Fabri could feel the tears streaming down his face. “We’re gonna be alright”

“yeah, great advise man, I’ll do that.” he said with confidence. “I have no idea how I’m gonna find Scarlet Witch or Wiccan, but even If I don’t I get it. I need a change of attitud and it starts right now.” Fabri nodded for himself and meant every word. He was tired of feeling sorry for himself. “Should we Race?”

“I’m sure we’ll be able to find them. I know Hulking, I can ask him about Wiccan if you’d like.” He couldn’t help but chuckled at the male’s sudden change of attitude. “Alright, then. Cool. If I knew I’d be so helpful, I would’ve charged before giving you any advice.” he made a face when hearing his words, moving away from the wall and stretching his arms. “What’s the point of racing if we both know I’m going to win?” he asked with a cocky smile, but clearly joking.

John was glad that Beau was so open. It took some patience to deal with a new mutant, and even though it was clear John still needed to work some stuff out, he thanked him (in his mind) for not pushing him too much. “name your price, man” he answered jokingly, to his comment on him being helpful. John upped a brow , when his fellow mutant defiantly agreed to the race “I may start slow, but I’ll catch up... “

Beau’s words pierced throught him like knifes. “You are right Beau, completely.” he said, almost apologizing. “I’m still not sure it’s a good idea to tackle my powers… but yeah, I get it. I guess what I’ve been doing so far isn’t really helping anyone… not me for sure. Sorry for venting.”

“I don’t think tackle is the right word… How about, approach it with caution? We don’t want you to go crazy with it, just try to practice small stuff. With other mutants around you in case you start losing control, of course. No need to apologize man. We’re having a conversation.”

“Yep, that’s me. A badass.” he laughed at his own words, resting the back of his head against the wall. “There’s no way around it, really. Either you learn how to control your powers before they get out of control, or you don’t and when they do go out of control, no one’s going to be able to help you. So, if you don’t want to hurt anyone, you should at least try to explore and control them. Maybe talk to the Scarlet Witch? I’m sure she would help you, I think she helped Wiccan with his powers, there’s no reason why she wouldn’t do the same with you.”

Aiden sighed softly. “A necessary evil at this point, I guess. I don’t agree with how they operate, but they’re willing to put us up, so that’s better than nothing, I guess.” 

“I- uh... I don’t really know what to think really, cause I can’t belive I’m more scared of what’s going on out there than what these guys are” He shook his head “Still I hate to be here”

“oh yes, exactly.” he said making an expression that showed how little prepared he actually felt and catching his breath again. “Being prepared it’s what I need most right now cause I still don’t know what the fuck I’m doing to be honest…” fabri let go of a sigh and sked Beau “How did you found out about your powers? what does you family and friends say about all this?”

“I feel you, man. We’re in the same boat. My powers are only useful in battle if I’m next to a mutant that is good in battle. If not, they’re just useless. That’s why I’m learning Martial Arts as well. I don’t want to be completely helpless without my powers, you know? And a big part of that is staying in shape.” He slowed down his  pace until stopping completely bending over to place his hands on his knees. “Let’s take a break.” he leaned his back against a wall and shrugged at the male’s question, still trying to catch his breath. “Well. I have an uncle that is a mutant. Well, was. He’s dead now. Anyway, my dad brought me and my brother to New York to meet with Xavier and find out if we were mutants. He told my dad my brother hadn’t developed any mutant genes yet, but I did. Which I had no idea at the time, I only found out what I could do when I met the other mutants. It was weird, but I got used to it. So my dad left me here with them.”

“I see” he said, and wasn’t able to say anything else. He had a pretty standard and boring life until his powers kicked in. A bunch of dorky and lovable friends, a small but caring family that took care of him. When they found out he was a mutant, none of them said anything bad about it. He realised himself they had a problem with this when neither his friends or family came to visit, he rarely even got to speak with them anymore. “Right now my powers are pretty useless, and to be honest I’m not sure I want to explore a more usefull side of this. I only want to keep them in so I don’t hurt anyone. Martial arts as a Plan B sounds great actually, that sounds badass” he said and grinned at beau.

“I-I don’t know but-” he looked around and instantly regretted it. He saw the fire and people crying and running, when he saw a big puddle of blood, rubble everywhere John felt chills coming down his spine. “Are YOU hurt?” he asked desperately, trying his best not to freak out, fighting as best he could not to start wondering how the hell he end up down there. “We need to leave this places Right no- shit, SHIT! is that a leg?”

Sera looked over to see what John was talking about and there it was, in it’s grace and glory, a leg. Without a body. The girl suddenly felt queasy and immediately bent over to the side to vomit. “O..Oh my god.” She whimpered, wiping her mouth once she was done, “Oh my god.” was really all she could say in her state of shock. The blood, the limbs, the death was all too overwhelming for the X-man in training.

“Do-Do Don’t Look Sera, don’t look!” he almost yelled at his friend, trying his best to get a grip of himself. He was too close to freaking out, and he didn’t want to give himself the oportunity to do so as he was even more scared of what he could do. He knew it was getting more difficult to keep focused by every second. Fabri cleaned Sera’s forhead with his sleeve, he didn’t know if she was covered in dirt or blood. “I need to take you out of here, C’mon” he said fighting the tears.

“I guess you are right... but” he lowered his voice “The brotherhood?”

Her ears were still ringing but in the background were muffled screaming. She had no idea what was happening and could only squint to see John in front of her, “J-John?” She coughed as the smoke got heavier. “What’s going on?” Sera groaned as she vaguely remembered about suddenly being knocked back. While she tried to move, a sharp pain ran up her right arm. Hissing, she cradled it to her chest. “Fuck, a-are we being attacked?” Looking up around her, she saw figures moving quickly back and forth, “Was anyone hurt?“

“I get it.” Beau nodded his head at his words and turned his head to look at the Avengers tower for a second before turning back to look at John. “I’m sure you probably know by now, but the school used to be in a mansion before it got blown up. I mean, the tower is pretty cool, but the mansion was cool too. But yeah, it’s always nice to be prepared.”

Seb slowly climbed to his feet, still grimacing. “Yeah yeah, I’m fine.” he said, walking over to the wall and leaning against it. “I tripped is all. The question is man, are you okay? You look like you just saw someone die or something.” Sebastian pulled himself to his full height causing his back to give a small pop. “Listen that’s not your car is it? ‘Cause I’ll totally give you the money to get it fixed….another day.”

“yeah, I just saw you... you should be dead, man” he said, his hart beating rapidly “It’s not my car so don’t worry about it, It’s New York. Home of the Avengers... people should know not to leave their cars outside”. John shaked his head and put a hand on his chest calming the scare out of him, he took a couple of deep breaths looking down and then into this guy’s eyes trying to act normal “So... Meta, Ihuman or Mutant?”

Sera should have seen it coming. She knew there would always be people like her amidst the crowd of New York especially in a subway station, so why the hell did she not spot the one who caused the explosion? She had just gotten on the escalator to head down when it happened and while it didn’t kill her, it did knock her back. She sworn she could have felt the heat from the blast before her back hit the wall, collapsing onto the ground. “What just….” She trailed off as she saw the subway station in ablaze.

Everything happened so fast that if he wanted to, he wouldn’t be able to explain how. He was sitting on a couch, a mug of coffee in his hand, watching the news about a new registration act solely for mutants, every thought crossed his head. The complicated opinions about a pretty simple matter that mutant or not, they were all people and they deserve rights and freedom. To be put on a list made him think he was a second class citizen and that before getting his powers (wich he rarely got to use) he coulnd’t think of “them and us” and now the goverment was putting a label and mark onto their heads. The news came back with a last minute update. An explotion on a subway station. The word mutant thrown all over like if that were more important than the people trapped down there. Suddenly those people were he could think about and with a jump, before he could think about it, he found himself between the flames and the screams, in the middle of such chaos he saw a familiar face and run to her. “Sera!! Wha- are you alright?!”

Sebastian stood on the edge of the building, looking out over the city with a smile. “Ah, how I love you New York.” he sighed to himself before taking a few steps back and taking off towards the edge of the roof and leaping to the roof of another nearby building. He’d made his costume with mobility in mind, with the combination of his powers he didn’t exactly need much protection, just the ability to get things done quickly, that didn’t stop him from being a clumsy idiot 90% percent of the time. As he went to leap to another roof, his feet got caught up and he tripped over himself, tumbling over the edge of the roof and hurtling straight towards the ground. “Holy shit.” he yelled, doing his best to use his power to slow his descent. He slowed himself just enough to prevent any serious injury before slamming into the hood of a car with a loud crash. “Fuck me…” he groaned, rolling off the hood of the car and onto the ground. He glanced up at a nearby figure with a grimace. “Can I help you?”

Fabri took a few hours off the Jean Grey School for himself, roaming the streets of New York alone just looking at people and places but not paying any attention. Someone could say he would get hit by a car if he kept walking immersed on his thoughts. He was not expecting to be brought back to reality in the form of a person falling off from the sky and hitting a car with a loud noise. “HOLY FUCKING SHIT!” he yelled and threw himself towards a wall. First he thought he just witnesed a suicide but when the not so dead guy talked to him, he realised his life couldn’t get any weirder. “help ME? Are you alright?”
