Atā' ibn Abī Muslim al-Khurasānī (d.135H) would not leave his assembly until he would say:

اللهم هب لنا يقينا بك حتى تهون علينا مصيبات الدنيا، وحتى نعلم أنه لا يصيبنا إلا ما كتب لنا علينا، ولا يأتينا من هذا الرزق إلا ما قسمت به

O Allāh, grant us full certitude in You so that misfortunes of this world become easy for us (to bear), and so that we truly come to know that nothing will befall us except what has been decreed for us (by You), and that none of these provisions will come to us except what you have apportioned for us.

• اليقين لابن أبي الدنيا (١/ ٢١)

من اراد السعادة الحقيقية فعليه ان يصفي قلبه بذكر الله، ويرضي نفسه بحب الله

Whoever seeks true happiness must purify their heart with the remembrance of Allāh and content their soul with the love of Allāh.

اللهم اني اسألك حبك وحب من يحبك وحب عمل يقرب الى حبك ♡

إذا كانَ الْبُعْدُ عَنْ الأحباب يُوجِعُ القَلْبَ، فَالْبُعْدُ عَنْ اللَّهِ يُمِيتُه

If distance from loved ones hurts the heart, then distance from Allāh ﷻ kills it.

ثم ترزق بما يليق بطيب قلبك

Subsequently, you will be blessed with what suits the goodness of your heart.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

وأما الذي يقول : أستغفرُ الله، بلسانه، وهو مقيمٌ على المعاصي بأفعاله، فهو كذابٌ لا ينفعُهُ الاستغفارُ،

قال الفضيل بن عياض - رحمه الله - : استغفارٌ بِلاَ إقلاعٍ توبةُ الكذابينَ.

As for him saying ‘Astaghfiruallah’ with his tongue but persisting upon sins/disobedience with his actions, then he is a liar (and) his Istighfar will not benefit him,

as Fuḍayl b. ‘Iyad said:

Seeking Allah’s Forgiveness while not abandoning (sins) is the repentance of liars.

إِذا غامَرتَ في شَرَفٍ مَرومٍ

فَلا تَقنَع بِما دونَ النُجومِ

فَطَعمُ المَوتِ في أَمرٍ صَغيرٍ

كَطَعمِ المَوتِ في أَمرٍ عَظيمِ

سَتَبكي شَجوَها فَرَسي وَمُهري

صَفائِحُ دَمعُها ماءُ الجُسومِ

قَرَبنَ النارَ ثُمَّ نَشَأنَ فيها

كَما نَشَأَ العَذارى في النَعيمِ

وَفارَقنَ الصَياقِلَ مُخلَصاتٍ

وَأَيديها كَثيراتُ الكُلومِ

يَرى الجُبَناءُ أَنَّ العَجزَ عَقلٌ

وَتِلكَ خَديعَةُ الطَبعِ اللَئيمِ

وَكُلُّ شَجاعَةٍ في المَرءِ تُغني

وَلا مِثلَ الشَجاعَةِ في الحَكيمِ

وَكَم مِن عائِبٍ قَولاً صَحيحاً

وَآفَتُهُ مِنَ الفَهمِ السَقيمِ

وَلَكِن تَأخُذُ الآذانُ مِنهُ

عَلى قَدرِ القَرائِحِ وَالعُلومِ

رسالة إلى قلبك

A message to your heart:

لا تحزن ولا تفكر كثيراً

Do not be sad and do not over think

فوالله الذي خلقني وخلقك يدبر لك ما سيدهشك ويجبر كسر قلبك

For by Allāh, He Who created me and you He will fix everything for you and give that which will amaze you and mend your broken heart.

تفاعل ولا تيأس إن الله على كل شيء قدير

Be optimistic and do not despair, for indeed

Allāh has power over all things.

معرفة الله ♡

قال بعض السلف: مساكين أهل الدنيا خرجوا منها وما ذاقوا أطيب ما فيها، قيل: وما أطيب ما فيها؟ قال: معرفة الله ومحبته والأنس بقربه والشوق إلى لقائه

Some of our righteous predecessors said:

(How) poor are those who left this dunya and did not get to taste the best of it.

It was asked:

What is the best of it?

They replied:

Knowing Allāh, loving Him, experiencing closeness to Him, and longing to meet Him.

إِنِّما العلم "هِمّة"

Indeed, knowledge is 'determination'

وما أبعد الطريق على الكسلان!

And how far the road is for the lazy!

وسعادة التحصيل قبلها حبسُ ساعة،

The happiness of achievement is preceded by an hour of confinement,

وحلاوة الانتصار على العجزِ تحتاج لشجاعة!

And the sweetness of overcoming weakness requires courage!

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2391

Hafs bin 'Asim narrated from Abu Hurairah or Abu Sa'eed that the Messenger of Allah

said:

"Seven shall be shaded by Allah under his shade on a day in which there is no shade except His Shade: A just Imam, a young person raised upon worshiping Allah, a man whose heart is attached to the Masjid when he leaves from it until he returns from it, two men who love each other for Allah's sake, coming together upon that, and parting upon that, a man who remembers Allah in privacy and his eyes swell with tears, a man invited by a woman of status and beauty, but he says: 'I fear Allah, Mighty and Sublime is He,' and a man who conceals the charity he gives such that his left hand does not know what his right hand has spent."

الدُّنيا مُتعِبة ... مُتعِبة جدًا،  ولولاَ لُطف الله لهلكنا.

The world is exhausting... extremely exhausting, and were it not for Allāh's compassion, we would have been ruined.
