hello! i am trying to finish a first draft of my wip by the end of the year, so i created this little challenge for myself. it starts on october 1st and will run through december 31st.

my daily goal is to set aside one hour everyday to write or work on my novel in some capacity. weekly accountability posts will be every friday!

i set up a notion calendar with a writing hour scheduled everyday for the rest of the year. i'm actually hoping to finish the week before christmas so i can enjoy the holidays, but the remainder of the days are there if i need them!

i had this idea for myself, but anyone is welcome to join in! just let me know if you'd like to be on the taglist. you can do your own daily goal (could be daily word count, time spent writing, etc) and weekly accountability post and tag it #90daynovel. also feel free to tag me :)

I'm sick of negativity getting pushed by the algorithms. I want to see cute puppies and kitties, and peoples' art and writing, and positivity posts; that's what I come on social media for. But nope! The internet's just like, "get blasted by news of yet another bad thing that you can't do anything about, fucker!"

The familial relationships in CoS are so fun to write. Indigo begrudgingly working with Eileen at the beginning and the two eventually becoming inseparable... Xyllis being a member of the enemy team and thinking that the others are the evil ones... Kay finding their voice... the whole thing with Rei...🥺my babiessss

And their relationships are inspired by my own relationship with my cousin and my sister, as well as my own found family in the form of very close friends, so that's an extra cherry on top. Being able to reflect on our relationship and pour that energy into this story. There's a reason its in the top three.

i don't get the sentiment that writing isn't fun. writing is so much fun! it's so rewarding! yeah it's hard sometimes but that doesn't mean it isn't fun. I love untangling the mess of plot threads in my head to figure out what should go where or why a certain section or sentence isn't working. it's like solving a puzzle. and my little guys are there! and i get to make them kiss or put one of them in a blender! so much fun!
