Laughter bubbled out of Hiro. “I’ll let you know if I ever need a consultant for that.” With her permission, Hiro quickly took a seat nearby. It’d be rude to just go back to coding now, wouldn’t it? Not that he’d be able to get much done on mobile anyways.

She blinked and nodded. “Robotics major, this’ll be the last year ‘til I graduate. It’s a lot of fun, mostly because I get to make a lot of fun robots. Oh, I can show you some if you’d like? Dunno if they’re as interesting as cars but I think they’re pretty cool.”

Unlike some people at the garage, Cameron actually enjoyed conversing with the people who came in. It just so happened that GoGo did seem to like this one particular person. But, it was a rather slow day, and Cameron didn't have much better to do other than stand around, so she figured she might as well be friendly. "Ah, right, right. I don't know much about robots, but I'll gladly give them a shot."

Hiro seemed alright, in her eyes. A little young, but then again, who was she to judge? "I'm sure they're really cool," she added, smiling at her. Grabbing a water out of the small fridge behind the counter, Cameron thought for a second and got another, offering it to him. "You thirsty? She might be a while."

Cameron wasn't really sure what to make of this sudden invitation to go to Evangeline's. One thing was for sure, and that was that Cameron knew damn well Misty didn't just happen to have reservations. She would bet money on that. Still, it was kind of thrilling to be asked on a Valentine's day date. Of course, she was assuming, but felt that it was safe to do so, in this context. It had been a while since she needed to dress up for something, but she wanted to look nice. A dress was too weird, but jeans were obviously too informal.

Ultimately, she'd decided that black jeans were fine, and so she paired it with a black tank top and a red leather jacket. Formal and seasonally appropriate, yet still her. And of course, the black combat boots were a must. Once she was dressed, she grabbed her keys and headed out the door. Meeting at the restaurant had made sense when they originally agreed, though she was sort of wishing now that she'd offered to pick Misty up. Ah well, she thought as she got in her car and headed over.

Misty had spent most of the afternoon tearing through her closet trying to find something to wear. What does one even wear to a valentine's day date at a fancy restaurant with a woman who you aren't even dating. Before she could second guess herself too much, she chose a pair of high waisted black flowy pants, a lace tank top with a red silk button down shirt. She put the outfit on opting to tie the front of the shirt instead of buttoning it. She wore her hair down in its usual beachy waves. She paired the outfit with her black Doc Martens. She had gotten her nails done the day before, a rich shiny dark oxblood color which she matched with her lip stain of the same shade.

Truth be told, she was nervous. She'd been on dates before, many dates even. But this was Cameron, her friend who she had been orbiting around like a nervous gay satellite for months. Before she could overthink it, she finished getting ready and headed off to Evangeline's to meet Cameron.

Cameron had pulled up to Evangeline's a little before seven. She texted Misty that she was here, and was going to go in and wait for her. Hopefully she'd gotten there first, but she had to assume so, since she had texted first. It was a bit cold out, seeing as it was February, but she managed her way inside perfectly fine. The restaurant was gorgeous, inside and out, and definitely packed. Luckily it didn't feel overwhelming, though, which was good. Once inside, she checked her phone for the time again, and sat down to wait, not wanting to be in the way of other parties who were ready to be sat.

It didn't take long before she looked up and saw Misty walking in. At first, Cameron smiled, happy to see her. Then she realized what Misty was wearing, and couldn't help but drop her jaw a bit. "Wow... you look amazing. Now I feel significantly underdressed," she chuckled.

Misty had been standing off to the side of the host stand near the front doors of Evangeline’s. She turned when she heard Cam’s voice. Her face immediately lit up as she turned to Cameron.

“Hey yourself” she said with a smile.

“You look great” she said tucking a strand of hair behind her own ear.

She walked over to Cameron and wrapped her in a hug. Before turning to the host stand and giving her name.

For some reason, the hug caught her off guard, and she stumbled a bit to return the gesture. Hopefully Misty didn’t think twice about it. “Thanks. I uh— wasn’t sure what the dress code was, but I think I’ll be fine. I mean, hell, I saw a guy wearing socks and sandals over there, and they let him in.”

With a light laugh, Cameron stuck her hands in her pockets and followed behind Misty and the hostess as she beckoned both girls to follow her. All of the tables had been decorated for the occasion, which she thought was rather cute. When they sat, Cameron folded her hands on the table and looked up at Misty. “So how do you know the manager again?”

At the very much unneeded but somehow also needed confirmation that the other was not GoGo, Hiro pocketed his phone. No need to show a stranger his barely comprehensible plans. Oh! Right! Introductions. “Hiro, GoGo’s my friend.”

It was in that moment that Hiro realised just how out of place she was in this place. He fiddled with her hoodie strings as she realised continuing to walk to the counter was probably a better idea than just standing here. She shook her head. “Unless you’ve got the secrets to the speediest—hm, well, maybe not the speediest but close—code, I don’t think you can.”

She glanced at that same clock, making a mental note of the time so he didn’t make this same mistake. “Forty five minutes, got it. I don’t suppose I can just sit and wait for her?”

When they introduced themselves, Cameron nodded. She was almost positive that she'd heard the name before. They were some kind of science genius, from what she remembered. "Oh yeah, okay, I got it. Yeah, coding isn't really my thing, but if you need info on speed, I can give it to you in the form of cars," she joked.

"Hey, you've got free will, don't let me stop you. As long as you're not in the way, that's cool with me," Cameron agreed. She didn't see any reason that Hiro couldn't stay. It was slow in the shop anyway. "You're a science major, right? What are you currently working on?"

since the break up with babette, victor had doubled down on his gym time to keep himself preoccupied. even with sultan running around, the house was too quiet. with his second gym trip of the day in full swing, victor finished up his run on the treadmill and headed over towards the water station to rehydrate.

Cameron hadn't gotten to work out in a while, but now that the holidays were over, and her life was getting back to normal, she was back in the gym. She was about to head over to the lockers, when she saw a familiar face. "Oh, hey Victor, how's it going?"

Normally, Hiro would just text GoGo if she wanted to hang out. It was quick and was a surefire way to get her attention. Today, though, she had just a bit too much energy. Maybe excitement? A mix of the two. All that to say, he needed to get out and go to her in person. This is where she works right?

As she entered the place, he took out his phone. Where was… aha! “Hey, GoGo? I’ve got this code for the speed of my bots, y’know the one I was talking about earlier? Mind checking it…”

He blinked, looking up only to find someone who was very much so not GoGo.

“…out? Uh, you’re not GoGo.” Real observant there, Hiro. Amazing work.

"No, no I am not," Cameron chuckled, leaning up against the counter. The person standing before her looked a bit young to be at a mechanic right now, but she had to remind herself that even teenagers had car troubles from time to time. It would be rude to assume. "I'm Cameron. GoGo comes in later. And you would be....?"

If they didn't want to disclose their identity, she wouldn't push, but it would be a lot easier to let GoGo know they came by if they could give a name. "If there's anything I can help you with, I'm all ears. Otherwise..." Cameron glanced at the clock. "You've got about forty five minutes." Normally she wouldn't disclose another employee's hours, but it was fairly obvious this person knew her well enough to be expecting her.

Misty hasn’t been expecting Cameron, but if she were to be honest with herself, it’s who she had hoped she would have been in this festive antiquated tradition with.

“Forward…. Maybe” Misty said with a smirk. “Okay fine totally forward” she admitted with a slow blooming smile and raspy chuckle. “However, you miss every shot you don’t take.” She said shifting her weight to her other foot. “So about that drink” Misty said with a smirk. “Were you thinking a coffee or something harder?” She asked her eyebrow arched. “Consider it done” Misty flirted openly her voice honeyed.

There wasn't much Cameron could say to rebut that. She had made a good point. "Alright, fair enough," she chuckled. When the question was asked whether she wanted coffee or alcohol, Cameron looked around, and pointed toward the cafe. "Well, I was on my way to a coffee shop. So..." her voice trailed off, lips turning upward into a soft smile. "Coffee is fine, unless you're in a rush to leave."

Cameron had just come back to the front desk having heard the little jingle of the bell from the front door. Tossing the rag in her hands into the small bucket under the desk, she looked at the customer that had just come in, and smiled softly. "Welcome to the Hangman's Garage. Don't think I've seen you before... you having a car issue?"

Misty was waiting for her caffeine fix at the Enchanted Rose Cafe, half paying attention scrolling on her phone. She grabbed her Latte and was leaving the line when she stopped dead in her tracks, the vibe had shifted just slightly. She looked up and saw the mistletoe hanging above her. Who still does that, wait is that actually real?

When her eyes descended she realized she wasn’t the only one under it, a slow smirk blossomed. Her eye brow raised “Feeling festive?” She asked.

Cameron was walking into the Enchanted Rose Cafe as someone was walking out, and to her surprise, she recognized the voice before looking up to see who it belonged to. "Festive?" Cameron asked, with a light chuckle. She then looked up, and saw what Misty was referring to. "Ah— Well, for one, a bit forward, no?" Cameron rose a brow, smirking. "For two, you could at least buy me a drink first."

She hadn't expected to see Misty there, but it was a pleasant surprise.
