A lot of times?
Well, if you say so.
Because it’s illogical.
When has logic ever really applied to life?
What makes you think I have the answer?
Or even care.
Ah, Charming.
We need an orientation package or something because this is getting a little too extreme for me.
Too extreme? It'd just be nice to know...Something. I always thought that dying would mean I didn't have to deal with...Anything anymore. What a let down.
No, of course not.
Well, if you've never seen a ghost than how do you know they're not real?
I just shoot from the hip most of the time.
Guessing at this is getting boring.
Same Old Haunts | Cami & Jacob
The courtyard was a bit off limits to Jacob because each and every time he went out there he was reminded of what he had done. Today, though, he needed some fresh air which the school often made him feel like he was suffocating. He hadn’t noticed Cami until he walked a ways into the courtyard where then he found her. A part of him wanted to turn around and go back inside and the other part wanted to go up to her. He was afraid that she would remember who it was that killed her, but each time they ran into each other she hadn’t an inkling of who it was.
Jacob stopped moving when she realized she was being followed. He shoved his hands into his pockets as he continued on to stand next to hew. “Maybe.” He said softly with a shrug of his shoulders. “I highly doubt ghosts can stalk ghosts and get away with it. We all know the tricks of being dead by now.” This time he revealed himself walking in front of her to play with a branch that hung near them. A flower had grown on said branch which Jacob took off to hand over to Cami. A sick sort of gift considering.
Cami accepted the flower, fidgeting with it mindlessly. "Charming." She muttered, with a small shake of her head and a smile. She'd grown accustomed to having odd encounters with the other dead that ran around Arkeon. Though when she ran into Jacob she always had the slightest feeling that he would rather, well, have avoided her. It struck her as odd but she wouldn't bother bringing it up. What did odd feelings matter now?
"I think we're supposed to waste our time stalking each other. We're supposed to haunt the living, right?" She replied, tilting her head. A ghost of a smile remained on her lips. All of this still seemed like a bit of a joke.
You know ghosts aren’t real, right?
I wouldn't go that far. Have you ever seen a ghost?
If there is, let me know.
You'd think we'd get one automatically. Maybe we have to search amazon for it..
Ghosting?
Yes, I'm studying to be a full time ghost.
Is there some kind of ghosting handbook I should be investing in?
Same Old Haunts
The courtyard was still Cami's favorite place, even now after her death. Part of her raved about how morbid it was, sick even that she so enjoyed the place she had been attacked. The place she had died. The majority of her didn't mind that she often found herself drifting back to the courtyard. Maybe it was morbid and fucked up but Cami was dead and if a ghost didn't get to be fucked up and morbid than who did?
And so, Cami found herself wandering the courtyard this morning.Slipping past the guards was easier than it had ever been before, if anything being even quieter was a pro of being dead. Needless to say it made sneaking around easier.
The morning sun was surprisingly warm on her face, she relaxed a bit. Odd, that anywhere in this place could make her feel relaxed. Her thoughts were stopped when she heard footsteps behind her. She didn't bother turning around to address whoever it was.
"Following me? Do I have a stalker?" Cami sounded more curious than bothered. And she certainly didn't sound scared. Being dead gave you a different kind of bravery.
We should. I honestly wish we had eyes in the back of our heads because it would help greatly. Anything to keep these kids under control and insure that they actually learn something from being here.
Learn something from being here? I doubt that'll happen. Even if you were better at crowd control.
I’m part of security and I fuckin’ agree.
Shouldn't you be trying to figure out new ways to improve the security around here?
A taser stolen? The security should be more aware of their surroundings, don't you think?
