Hello and welcome to our blog! We're fictives in an OSDD system, we predominantly interact with our source fandom, and while we don't have a collective system blog per se, our host's blog is @stantwinscodependency and a full list of our system's various blogs can be found there. There are four of us running this blog- Sharky/Vox/Vincent 🦈, Alastor/Al 📻, Lucifer/Lu 🍎, and Lilith/Lily 🎶. We are in an in-system polycule and enjoy shipping the characters that are our source. We also write fic and make art of our canon.

i think if hollanov decide to have more than one kid at least one of them will be a goalie. and you know that kid is going first in whichever draft they end up in because they practiced on shane fucking hollander and ilya fucking rozanov (because if your dads were casually the two best centres in the nhl and two of the most successful hockey players on the planet, then you defend that net like your life depends on it)

everyone else in that years draft thinks this hollander-rozanov child got picked first out of nepotism (because who the fuck is that desperate to pick a goalie first overall in the draft?) until one day that team’s starting goalie is injured and all of a sudden your scoring chances have gone to hell because you’re trying to get the puck past cerberus, the three headed dog that guards the gates of hell

The thing a lot of people don’t seem to get about Alastor and Vox’s dynamic is just how mutual it is. I’m not strictly talking about feelings here, I’m more referring to the fucked up parts of their relationship. Vox stalks Alastor, but Alastor knows about it and not only enjoys it, he counts on it. Alastor is dishonest and loves talking people into things, but Vox knows this and expects it. They enjoy hurting each other, but all of their fights across seventy years never resulted in the death of either of them (and if Alastor’s fighting style in the finale where he barely harmed Vox at all is any indication, their fights were likely games, and a mix of “pain and pleasure (but mostly pain)” for both of them). Vox ties Alastor to a chair, but given that Alastor has enough movement that he can do acrobatics on it and move across Vee tower, the binding is completely useless and only there to further this little game they have. Vox shocks Alastor, Alastor opens his legs to let Vox come closer at the end of don’t you forget reprise.

I’m just saying that the entirety of season 2 showed us just how much both of these characters enjoy (while still being harmed by) this little psychosexual game they have going on. If this moment didn’t make you understand just how reciprocal their deal is, then you might need to watch the season again.

this is such a nitpick from my part but can i just say how much i cannot stand the radioSILENCE tag used in alastor/vox fanfics on ao3? it feels so aggressive and generally so many radiostatic fics poorly tagged imo so i can't even filter things out. I don't think if i've ever had such issue with other ships

I've made it no secret that I cannot fucking stand R*diosilence in general. It makes finding content of Radiostatic so much harder than it should be on every single platform (including AO3 ofc) and it is so fucking annoying. Not only does it clog our tags with content that shouldn't be in them, but even if you don't think Alastor reciprocates Vox's romantic feelings specifically, the way R*diosilence is generally portrayed in the fandom shows a fundamental misunderstanding of not only Alastor and Vox's canon dynamic but their individual characterizations.

The one big thing I think fanon/fandom gets wrong about Alastor is they make him too serious.

He's reserved to a degree, but it's clear through a lot of context clues that Alastor is

1. A dork / Weird Kid™️

2. A Trickster archtype / Chaos character

3. Hides behind humor

The man likes to play, now whether the person he's playing with finds it fun isn't really any of his concern, but he does like to play.

And I've noticed it's a little detail in his personality the fandom and fanon versions of him seem to miss about his Canon character.

This is a man who would layer someone's office in post-it notes for an April Fools Day prank. Other than Christmas, April Fools is probably one of his favorite days. He'd release crickets into someone's car for shits and giggles. He'd absolutely keep making weird clicking noises just outside of Vox/Vincent's field of vision and gaslight the man into thinking he's hearing shit because ragebaiting is fun.

He'd tease about how vicious and bloodthirsty alagators in the bayou are just to watch Vincent wind himself up so when Al goes and pets one he can call Vincent dramatic. He would make a dark joke about someone he just killed and giggle to himself about it. Or he'd definitely drop one to Vox/Vincent once he's at that comfortable, kinda fond stage to both get a reaction and try to make him laugh.

He'd fidget with objects in someone's place like a curious cat because it amuses him. Everything's a potential toy till he figures out how amusing it is.

Imagine Vox having just a ton of those perpetual motion figures (the dippy bird, Newton's cradle, etc) and everytime Al comes over they all immediately get poked and prodded and started up because Al finds them both amusing and gets a kick out of Vox getting annoyed they're all going at once now.

He comes home and knows Al is there because every single kinetic art piece he has is just going haywire in unison.

Part of his character is jovial, not just in a way to come off less dangerous to others and dismissive but also in a way where he sees the world/Hell as his playground and by God he's going to have fun.

There's sooooooo much room for playful, Little Shit ™️ Alastor I don't believe the fandom is cashing in on heavily enough.
