Hello everyone, I am sharing this gofundme for my moms green card.

With the threat of ICE my family and i have been fighting for my mom Esmirnas green card. she has since been approved for a green card but yesterday at her hearing she was told she needs to pay 8,300 dollars by March 18th or her case may get thrown out.

my mom has paid her taxes since she began working in 2006 but because there isnt enough proof that she was not working 1997 to 2006 when she was a stay at home mom, she has to pay taxes for those years.

I’m late but my take on the princess tutu name discourse that I see sometimes in the tag is it’s not a ‘but’ it’s an ‘and’ situation. “I know the name is stupid but—“ NO. Own it. No one introduces avatar like “hey I know this looks like a stupid cartoon for little boys but it’s really good guyssss.” Princess tutu is a show for little girls AND it has darker themes and interesting characters.

Idk I find it a little disheartening that when the target audience of a show is little girls we have to bend over backwards to prove it has substance. I mean tutu is wish fulfillment for little girls 101 like the awkward, clumsy girl becomes a magical ballerina and she saves the day and she doesn’t get The Boy but instead she gets a cooler hotter boyfriend who likes her for her clumsy awkwardness?? Literally written from my five year old dreams.

It’s a goofy name but it’s a goofy show AND there’s a cult of people who go around cutting people’s hands off. AND rue plans to murder suicide herself and her boyfriend. AND the knight dies gruesomely—but these darker themes aren’t what gives the show integrity. They don’t elevate it out of the magical girl genre because there’s nothing wrong with being a silly magical girl show. Honestly the darker themes aren’t out of place in the games I would play as a child; they don’t change the target audience.

Princess tutu is a good show because it has good characters and an interesting premise and pretty art and a cool atmosphere. It’s not good despite itself but, much like Duck, for being unapologetically earnest and weird.
