Alby is a Middle Blocker and is always tryna aurafarm after a good block

Winston is a right side hitter with a mean line shot despite being right handed, also plays defense and serve receive as well bc he the goat

Can you tell Minho is my favorite?? 😭 He’s been my goat ever since I first read tmr when I was like 12. In my unc era ig…

Self indulgent HC but Minho wears ankle braces because I do when I play and I’m the one with the pencil. Realistically this dude has crazy calves and probably trains legs enough to overcome ankle instability but whatever.

He gets his dumb wrist wrap thingies from the movie because they’re so iconic, (what purpose do they even serve??) And also a terrible vertical because he is still a short king.

Newt would very much scare me in a game. I feel like he would have a lock in period before games where he just glares at everyone menacingly with headphones on. Will also 100% get carded for staring through the net at the other team after he gets a good play. Honestly that shouldn’t be illegal its so much more fun to have beef with the other team.

For my newtmas fans out there,, consider: Newt convincing Thomas to swap back to DS and then exclusively setting him backrow the entire game. Everyone (Gally) would be extremely pissed off but Thomas is lowk crazy with it so they let it slide. Orr Thomas BEGGING Gally / Minho to teach him how to hit so that he can do one on ones working with Newt as his setter 😛

I lowk knew nothing ab bball so since I actually play this sport here is HCs on what everyone’s positions would be based on the tmr lore:

Newt: Setter

duh, he’s The Glue and is required for the team to score. If you piss him off you’re not getting set. (sorry Gally)

Thomas: Libero but begs to be a pin

He’s the chosen one and is almost always on the court, makes sense. He gets subbed out to serve though, the pressure gets to him and he faints lmfao.

Gally: Middle

Always always always getting in the way of the setter and sometimes takes second touch via shoving Newt out of the way. Will crashout at his team if they mess up. But man does he have a good swing when Newt gets the timing down on his 1 ball.

Minho: Captain + Outside / Pin hitter

The man the myth the legend. Outsides typically are the ones doing the most work and never come off the court, seems right for him. He is still a short king and swings into every block bc he thinks he’s better (hes not)

Fry: DS (defensive specialist)

This man never sees the court and it’s not because he’s bad at it. The dude is just perpetually getting injured somehow.

Im too lazy to write out the other side characters but i assure you they get six on the court trust

Jorge is their Coach of course. Brenda is Assistant Coach and Teresa + Chuck are resident cheerleaders.
