In Transformers Armada we saw several times mini-cons resonating to influence reality in some capacity. Mini-cons also have unique tones to their voices or resonating, the more you add the stronger it is. But strongest are the legendary weapon mini-cons (just one resonating makes others react). One of the abilities was to restore Optimus Prime, literally undoing death and later creating a holoform of Unicron. But the thing is that few that did not sing along with their kind were Rook and Crosswise .

Been thinking if being so close to Unicron and Sideways they traded to be able to use the gifts of the Chaos God they gave up their resonating. Kind of like songbirds stripped of their songs. They did need to be part of Sideways to negate any damage or travel to the internet.
