Here’s what I’ve been up to since quitting! I’ve lost 100+ pounds so baking is less of a hobby now, but I still enjoy doing it for my loved ones. Thank you again for all the support on here.

Sprinkle Birthday Cake

I had some leftover ingredients after delivering my sister's birthday cupcakes (i.e. a ton of buttercream and sprinkles,) so I made a matching cake for my boyfriend and myself to eat ;)

Moist chocolate cake loaded with chocolate chips, frosted with a vanilla buttercream. Happy Birthday, Randi! Wish you were here to help us eat this!

Rainbow Birthday Cupcakes Happy Birthday to my sister!! She requests rainbow cupcakes every year, so I tried to make these special by drawing some cute little matching edible images for the top. I made a matching cake as well!

Banana Bread Muffins Banana muffins filled with walnuts and mini chocolate chips, sprinkled with a cinnamon streusel topping. Delicious and easy recipe from Gretchen’s Bakery.

Fudge Brownie Mix Cookies

Easy chocolatey chewy cookies in minutes! To make cookies from standard brownie mix: add 1/3 cup oil, 2 tablespoons water, and 1 egg to the mix and bake tablespoon-sized dollops of the dough at 375 for ~10 minutes.

I used Duncan Hines Double Fudge Decadent Brownie Mix and reserved the fudge packet inside to top the cookies. Best. Idea. Ever.

Double Glazed Funfetti Donuts Happy Birthday, America! I made you donuts! Baked cake donuts bursting with sprinkles that are glazed twice and sprinkled again to match the colorful fireworks my neighbors will inevitably set off right next to my house to scare my pets and make for a very long night. Happy 4th! (Recipe here.)

Valentine's Day Sweets Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you made some sweets for your sweetie :) Or for yourself if you’re dealing with Singles Awareness Day. I made my boyfriend some glazed sugar cookies and mini red velvet brownies with whipped cream cheese frosting.

Ghirardelli Turtle Brownie Cheesecake

It's my birthday and I'll consume calories if I wanna!

I'm celebrating with a Ghirardelli walnut brownie topped with a caramel sauce layer, followed by rich cheesecake, finished with caramel ganache and more caramel sauce. Garnished with salted caramel peanuts and mini caramel-filled Ghirardelli chocolate squares, plus plain roasted peanuts on the sides. A heavenly labor of love :)

Homemade Funfetti Cupcakes A tasty basic yellow cake stuffed with sprinkles and topped with a simple vanilla buttercream. Decorated with even more sprinkles and pink chocolate stars. Some belated birthday cupcakes for our friend Evie, plus mini cupcakes for her kids :)

Cookie Dough Brownies

Nope, not cupcakes! Chocolaty brownie cups (with milk chocolate and semi-sweet chunks,) topped with an eggless cookie dough mix. With colorful sprinkles for crunch :)

Christmas Treats of 2015

Red velvet cake truffles (some coated in peppermint candy bits,) fudge brownie truffles topped with sprinkles, and chocolate-dipped coconut macaroons.

I apologize for the lack of posts here- I truly am baking on a tiny budget here! But if there's ever a time to splurge on treats for friends and family, it's Christmas :) Thank you again for following my baking adventures! See you next year!

Halloween Donuts

*Spoopy* chocolate donuts glazed and frosted with Halloween embellishments. ‘Tis the season to fall into a sugar coma!

Butterbeer Cupcakes Butterscotch cake filled with butterscotch sauce, topped with vanilla and butterscotch swirl frosting and a drizzle of even more butterscotch! The cake reminds me a bit of banana bread in texture, and it's not too sweet - makes a perfect base for all that delicious butterscotch. I tried to make the frosting look ‘liquidy’ to simulate a frosty mug of butterbeer :) For my sister, the birthday girl/Hufflepuff!

Batman Birthday Cake

Yesterday was my wonderful boyfriend’s birthday! Give his action figure photography some birthday love at Batced :) I made him a classic vanilla butter cake with the lightest, fluffiest buttercream frosting ever. Not too sweet, because he’s already so sweet to me. The top is an edible image designed by me in Illustrator, based on the Adam West Batman logo. I think it was a hit!

Independence Day Cookies
