Because I’m plus size, I’ve spent so many years trying to *hide* my curves from the world… Well, this is what it looks like when I’m *not* hiding my curves… And you know what??? I think I look pretty freakin’ FABULOUS!!!

I’ve worn many dresses that show my curves, but this one… truly shows off my GLORIOUS ASS!!! I’m truly making up for lost time here. I can’t take back all the years of hiding my curves, my body, and who I am, but I can certainly do something about that *TODAY*, and for the rest of my life!

I am never… EVER… going to be ashamed and hide my curves ever again.

I encounter so many women who are a size 14, 16, or 18, who tell me that they wish they could dress like me, but it shows “too much.” I understand that every woman has her own comfort level, but let me remind you… I’m a SOLID size 20-22!!! This dress doesn’t show “too much” of me, it just shows *ME*!!!

It shows my legs, the shape of my arms, my tummy, and yup… my GLORIOUS ASS!!!

If every other woman can wear a dress like this without hesitation or insecurity, then why can’t I???

Because society has told plus size women that they can’t? That fatness is ugliness? That there’s no way that a fat woman can ever look classy, stylish, and sexy as all hell???

Well, I’m living proof that we’ve been LIED TO for so many years by society and mainstream media.

I *CAN* show off my curves!!! I am *NOT* ashamed of my body!!!

Hey! Who else is sick of looking at models in magazines and ads who are photoshopped to death, to the point where if you saw them in real life, you wouldn’t recognize them? That’s why I model my own clothes, for my own store, *WITHOUT* the use of any photoshop! These pictures are of 100% me, Karen Ward, owner of Your Big Sister’s Closet! No hiding any lumps or bumps, no “smoothing” around any curves, and definitely NO making myself look skinnier to feed the media machine that says that you need to be skinny in order to be beautiful and fashionable!!! Why is it so hard for some people to accept the fact that maybe a fat girl might actually be content with their body? To be proud to show off her arms, and her legs, and her VBO (visible belly outline), and her GLORIOUS ASS!!! I don’t feel like I need to photoshop myself because I don’t feel like it’s necessary for me to make myself look thinner in order to be fashionable. You can be fashionable at any size, and in this fat girl’s opinion… I think it’s pretty shitty to think otherwise.

But that’s just me. *sips my tea*
