I don't get the whole thing about trans men not experiencing misogyny. We are not cis men. We are still oppressed under the patriarchy for being viewed (whether it be physically, socially, or legally) as female. How many times do I have to say that I was not AMAB. I was RMAB. Here's a link to the definition of RMAB, since you clearly don't know what it means.

You are not the first person to imply (or straight up tell me) that I'm transfeminine, btw. You're not special for this idea. I am not transfeminine. I am actively transitioning AWAY from femininity and TOWARDS masculinity, hence why I personally use the term "transmasculine" for myself.

It's clear to me that some of you think transfemininity and transmasculinity are stored in the ASAB/RSAB/CASAB and pronouns. Which is a whole level of wrong and bigoted.

Would you be saying "you can't be transmasculine!" to a PERISEX transmasc using they/them pronouns? I doubt it. So why are you saying it to an INTERSEX transmasc using they/them pronouns? Ohhhhhh, intersexism and transandrophobia, rightttt!

RMAB means "reassigned male after birth." It is something that happens to intersex people where you were assigned female at birth (or unassigned at birth) because that's what the doctors thought you were closest to, but then later in life, (typically from ages 0-16) they decide you're actually closer to male, then they reassign you male. It's bullshit and arbitrary, just like ALL sex assignment. I was reassigned male in highschool, and let me tell you, I have VERY mixed feelings about my experience with reassignment. You can also have been RFAB, which means "reassigned female after birth."

But what I really want is for agab language to fucking LEAVE trans and non-binary spaces. Can we not fucking categorize NON-BINARY people in afab/amab? PLEASE!

I don't know WHY anyone would need to know my agab ever. They don't. Nobody does.

I want to see non-binary people who are themselves, in whatever way that may be, and I don't want to know if they were amab or afab. Why would I want to know that??

Not every intersex person with a vagina was AFAB. I feel like people should maybe comprehend that. Ive seen a lot of hate for people saying "You can be have a vagina and be transfem" and regardless of how you feel about afab transfem stuff it doesnt matter because you do not have to have been AFAB to have a vagina.

Like no... even with "male-leaning" genitalia on the ambiguous genitalia scale you can still have a vagina. Thats literally just the hole, usually itd be blind in those cases aka, not leading to like a uterus. But it is very much still there.

I need perisex trans & cis people to genuinely just take a step back and learn anything at all before they start enforcing arbitrary rules onto us that dont make any sense. We really gotta teach you guys to not use AGAB as shorthand for the sex traits that someone does or does not have, because really it means jackshit.

the moment i see agab terms popping up in discussions outside of specifically intersex contexts i just completely tune out. it baffles me that to this day not more perisex ppl are anti-agab. the terminology that was coined by intersexist doctors to justify mutilating intersex babies which intersex ppl later claimed for themselves to explain the roles they were forced into as a child

Honestly even in intersex spaces I think it deserves to be questioned. I see and hear "afab puberty" and "amab body" on a semi-regular basis in intersex communities.

The binary treadmill has totally destroyed these terms' original meanings. I'm tired of seeing them get used as The Progressive Binary wherever it happens.

Reminder that you don't have to call yourself AMAB or AFAB. You don't have to say "I'm AFAB nonbinary." Saying "I'm nonbinary" is enough. You don't need to identify with what you were assigned as by some doctor however many years ago. Mentioning your ASAB is scarcely relevant to most conversations, even those about medical transitioning.

Nonbinary is enough, you don't have to supplement it with a binary system of any kind. It doesn't matter how many people want to know your "transition direction." It doesn't matter how many people want to know what your genitals are (which wouldn't be alluded to by your assigned sex anyway). It doesn't matter how many people want to binarise you. It doesn't matter how many binary people you confuse. No one needs to binarise you. Nonbinary. Is. Enough.
