ok like I really dislike Jack X Simon but I fuck with the idea that Jack would take care of his choir boys??? like ok not romantically or anything because I feel like it could genuinely be horrible for Simon (does this make sense???) but I enjoy the idea that maybe Jack will let Simon cuddle up to him during the night. kinda like how Ralph and Piggy do? like Jack being protective of his choir in a fully platonic way before he goes completely badshit insane. I think people forget Jack Merridew is malnourished from the very beginning of the book. he wouldn't have a six-pack, and he is actually very ugly.

I hate how the fanon Jack is all "hot bad boy." no, Jack actually is very gross looking. he's very tall and boney with very unattractive features according to Mr. Golding.

this goes for Ralph's fanon version, too.

Ralph is actually the more pretty looking out of the two boys and a little shorter than Jack. however, Ralph is described with "boxer like shoulders," meaning his whole "UwU smoll bean femboy furry" fanon self is just as bad.
