It was a small patch of land she had been working into a garden, something to grow herbs for tea, a few hardy vegetables and the like so it was a bit of a surprise when she unearthed a small black chest, the container fit in her hands as she set it aside to open the once locked chest to reveal a minute jade statue. Possibly something buried by a traveler or previous owner of her tiny home near the sea in the Dread Wastes. She was a sucker for the solitude and the sea.
