A part of Noah felt as though he’d lost all concept of time for the duration of their kiss, but another made it seem like it ended just as quickly as it had passionately escalated. It was difficult to ignore the way his stomach felt to curl with heat, but Noah promptly distracted himself by combing his fingers back through his own hair the moment the both of them pulled apart, sheepishly clearing his throat before speaking. “I have,” The older male admitted after regaining his composure, the warm grin gradually returning to his face. There was something hesitant about the way he then reached out, catching the side of Drew’s face in his hand and allowing his thumb to trace over the boy’s cheekbone. “The idea of all this is… —well, it’s mental, and I’m so sorry you’re stuck with me.” Already, his grin grew to a smile filled with adoration. “I feel like I’ve already said it a dozen times, but I’m not really sure where I managed to get so lucky.”
As Noah’s thumb grazed the side of his face, Drew felt an ever-so-slight blush rise up in his cheek. A small, genuine grin grew from Drew’s mouth as he listened to the taller male compliment him. After Noah finished being adorable and flattering, his mind trailed back to the middle of his sentiments. Drew’s smile faded once again and he took on a more serious tone once more. “Why are you sorry?” Drew questioned. He had noticed a few times that Noah didn’t appear to have the best self-esteem. It puzzled Drew, because he couldn’t imagine being paired with anyone other than him, because there was no one better.
