Work has been pretty chill. Remarkably slow the last few days and all training so I haven't had a chance to get as saturated as I know I will be. Fortunate because none of my shoes would hold up. I have a couple pairs that are pretty comfy for long wearing, but only one is ok for water resistance but turns out to be kind of slippy on the wet floors.
I got a screaming deal on a pair of Clove shoes on poshmark- they're marketed to nurses for being super comfortable, "resistant to fluids," and non slip. They arrived today and they are absolutely pristine, a perfectly fun color.... and fit just a little too small 😭
For whatever reason, for a long time B insisted that her feet were bigger than mine. This was age 13/14 and it was silly because I could tell they obviously were not, but she wasn't done growing so I let her decide what was comfortable and she suffered through too-big shoes for a while. Around age 15 she started to notice that she really likes borrowing mom's shoes so admitted that she wears about the same size. She's full grown and probably 1/4 a size smaller than me now.
She has some running-type shoes that she got in that weird era and she wore them at camp with thick socks, apparently they are finally falling apart. She's really weird about asking for what she needs and I often have to decide if it's worth it to force her into letting me improve her comfort or letting her suffer enough to make a point of how she needs to communicate her needs. Admitting they are falling apart was recent.
So here I am, wearing these potentially too-small shoes around the house to see if breaking in will be the solution and my daughter is all...
