You’re a leader. Sometimes you have to lead with a little force.
Of course. I understand that.Â
I just can’t help but feel he’s justified in feeling the way he does.
YOU ARE THE REASON

Hey, Cap.
wilsonswings:
Don’t sweat it too much. No one’s seen it all.
Not this time, maybe. A lot has changed in 70 years but alien invasions aren’t your normal, everyday crisis. Hopefully next time its a cat stuck in a tree.
But some stuff everyone seems to know. You know that’s true.
Well, Sam, I’m sending you in if I get any reports of cats stuck in trees.
It’s your lucky day...

You don’t have to convince me. I know I did what was right, at least to me. But Clint doesn’t see it that way. He doesn’t let me explain much either.Â
He’s a stubborn hot head. Once he has his mind made up about something, it’s not so easily changed. You gotta be just as stubborn. “No, you move.” Remember?
You’re saying I need to get rough.
Hey, Cap.
capbrooklyn:
Oh. That sounds really good. I should listen to some R and B, then.
Didn’t see anything like that while you served?
Yes you should. I’ll give you a list of mandatory listening.Â
Aliens? No way. I was Air Force not NASA.
I’ll never truly catch up, will I?
I didn’t have to be NASA to see those things.

Steve laughed softly against Bucky’s shoulder. At least his friend was joking, “Fine, what would you have done?” He pulled away to look at him, “There were bombs on that plane for the record.”
“Jump, Steve. Jump from the blasted plane,” Falling was easy. After all, he had fallen, once, and his life as Bucky Barnes ended. But it was pointless to argue about that now. He had spent a life trying to protect Steve only for him to willingly put himself in front of the bullets now.
Steve laughed heartily, “I was in the middle of the ocean! I needed to crash that plane before it could reach civilization and I would have never gotten away if it had exploded,” Which for some reason it hadn’t, and that had been his saving grace. There would have been no Steve Rogers to find in the ice if it had.
It’s your lucky day...
thirteencarter:
You were trying to save your friend. He’s not entirely innocent, but he’s someone that needed saving, that’s what we do right?
You don’t have to convince me. I know I did what was right, at least to me. But Clint doesn’t see it that way. He doesn’t let me explain much either.Â
It’s your lucky day...
thirteencarter:
Yeah…I remember. [She drives in silence for a while, thinking to herself.] Have you tried talking to him? Clear the air?
A few times. But he’s really stubborn, and I get why he’s angry at what I did.Â
It’s your lucky day...
thirteencarter:
He’s okay. I haven’t talked to him too much, but we train together sometimes. He’s always interesting to talk to. Why?
Well, he hates me, that’s one thing. And during that meeting we had because of the alien invasion, well... things have been tense since then. What worries me is that he doesn’t seem to... be close with anyone here.Â
winter-soldat:
Steve kneeled in front of him to hug him, and Bucky didn’t know how to react for a moment. “You were frozen too, pal. Of course, because you were stupid and your only idea to stop a Nazi plane was to fucking drown it in the Arctic,” And Steve had saved him, in the end. Had it been anyone else trying to protect Stark, things would have gone too differently.
Steve laughed softly against Bucky’s shoulder. At least his friend was joking, “Fine, what would you have done?” He pulled away to look at him, “There were bombs on that plane for the record.”
It’s your lucky day...
thirteencarter:
For what it’s worth, they’re a good match. Barton’s told me about some of the stuff she’s been though…if anyone can help him, it’s her. Besides you, of course.
I suppose... she is Bucky’s type, physically, that’s for sure.Â
Talking about Barton. What do you think of him?
winter-soldat:
“I remember… cold. I was awake every time they froze me,” After the mandatory debriefing and cognitive recalibration, because the longer he was out of the ice, the less compliant he became, a part of his former self that apparently they could never kill. “I knew I hated those seconds before I went unconscious, it made me think of a long fall… It was always confusing.”
“...” He looked down, unable to understand what Bucky went through and deeply saddened he hadn’t been able to stop it, “I’m sorry, Buck. That’s...” Inhumane, but Bucky knew it. Steve sighed and got up his seat, moving towards Bucky and kneeling next to him, pulling in for a hug. His brother, “I’m sorry I wasn’t there to save you this time.”
winter-soldat:
“We both ended up frozen,” Though in very, very different circumstances, but he half smiled at Steve. Thing were better than okay when it was the two of them, back then. “… Do you remember the ice? Because I do.”
“The winter caught up to us both, then,” Steve conceded, smiling because Bucky was somewhat smiling at him, and that meant things were getting better. But then their conversation took a strange turn, and Steve had to frown at his friend’s question, “Remember the ice? As in... remember being frozen?... Not really. You really do? You were conscious?”
Hey, Cap.
wilsonswings:.
Rhythm and blues, man.Â
That’s exactly why I wasn’t surprised.Â
Oh. That sounds really good. I should listen to some R and B, then.

sokovianpsychic:
Oh please…anyone could see those heart eyes from a mile away.
I think he’s not ready to talk about it. I don’t even know if he’s ready to call that a relationship. I’m just glad he’s got someone else asides from me.
It’s your lucky day...
thirteencarter:
Good.
We can, since Bucky is still at your place and not used to me yet…although he is welcome to come and bring Romanoff.Â
I’ll bring him. Just not sure if he’ll want to ask Natasha out. He still pretends there’s nothing going on between them.Â
winter-soldat:
“It’s the truth, pal. And you’d let yourself freeze to death instead of coming home with us,” Which usually ended on Bucky staying over with Steve, just to make sure his lungs didn’t stop breathing because of a cold night. “That I remember.”
“Well, I did end up frozen in the end, so I guess got it coming,” Steve said, chuckling at his own joke. Better to laugh at it now since he couldn’t change things, “I was okay. And when I had you, I was even more okay, buddy.”
Hey, Cap.
wilsonswings:
Absolutely he is. Just cause you’re a white boy doesn’t mean you get to miss out on hip hop and R&B.
[Sam threw another couple trained punches at the bag.] Thanks, man. You did, too, not that I’m surprised.
Okay, hip hop I have heard of... but what does R and B stand for??
To be fair, I saw some stuff during the war. Aliens were not much surprising. You could say I was prepared.
