About the play (sweet-sconemaker-Arthur||closed)
“Not at all,” Elizabeth said smiling at him a bit “if you could work o the trees so I could finish the sky and moon that would be helpful.” She told him picking up the blue paint again “Oh do we still have those chairs I made for the Alice in wonderland last year that look like the mushrooms? I think they might look good sitting in front of these” Elizabeth told him thoughtfully
Arthur nodded, he knew the basics. He shook his head at the question. “I haven’t the slightest idea, dear.” He was preoccupied admiring his work that he swished his paintbrush around, smiling smugly. “See, those are the prettiest trees in existence, Da Vinci can drool at the- oh. Oh.” Arthur let out a nervous chuckle. Elizabeth’s shirt- they’ve got paint splatters on them! “Sorry, dear. But you hated them right? Hehe…”
Elizabeth wipes a bit off of her face as well some of the splatter had gotten on her as well before she smiled sweetly at her brother “It’s ok!” She said before she smeared her paintbrush across his cheek “Now we’re even” she laughed a bit before getting up and running away knowing her brother wasn’t going to be getting paint out of his eyebrows for a week because of that!
Arthur didn’t have time to react when the coldness of the paint smeared against his skin. He only knew, a second later, that he was running towards his sister, one hand full of fresh paint and the other a paintbrush. “Come back here now,” he called, laughing. “Oh two can play that game.” He flicked his wrist and sent splatters of paint in her direction.
“Missed me!” Lizzie laughed but she spoke to soon as it splattered across her back and the back of her neck. She scooped up another bucket and flung more of the colorful paint at him “You started this I was just getting even don’t pick on me you meanie!” Lizzie joked pouting like a child before she laughed and hurried off again
“But that was an accident!” He put up his hands as if they could shield him from the bucketful of paint flung at him. His half of his clothes were soaked now, but he didn’t mind. He simply laughed and scooped the paint from his shirt and flung them back to his sister.
Lizzie smiled at him “Still your fault,” Lizzie said to him shrugging a little bit before she took off running she still got some paint splattered on her but then she noticed her back drop and stopped as she frowned at it, in their hi-jinx they had completely ruined the tarp with the backdrop on it “Well that’s two days of work down the drain….”
Once the laughter had subsided, Arthur followed her gaze and bit his lip. They obliviously ruined the backdrop. He eyed her nervously. “Well, I suppose… I suppose I can help you remake it. If that’s alright with you.” He offered, giving her a smile. “We can call truce and promise not to splatter the other with paint on purpose until we finish the backdrop and have it stowed somewhere paintproof.”
Lizzie shook her head with a small smile on her face though she was clearly disappointed “it’s alright, I can do it at rehearsal tomorrow....and the day after taht” she said running her hand through her hair a bit before she wrapped the backdrop up she awas already making a list of things she would need in her head trying to tsee what she could reschedule so she’d have time to make it
