Garden in the Closet by Itono Kei is alright, I think it's very much a "trans people issues" story. Where it's teaching trans issues pretty heavy-handedly over having things play out more naturally. I think there are more interesting ways to tell a trans story. But I don't want anyone to take this as a negative review, I'd prefer a story be heavy-handed but support trans people. Especially because I do think it's doing some interesting themes about gender expectations and fitting in with the cis male lead too, which I really like. It's just I think a story that needs to explain trans issues is very similar to one that would need to explain gay issues. There is a bit more to it than that, plus the art is very beautiful. It is good from what I've read. It's just not something I need at this point in my life, but one I appreciate anyway for what it is trying to do.
